Ding!
The elevator door opened. Theo walked out, holding a paper slip.
'room three' he walked into the winding wide corridor that was brilliantly lit. Surprisingly, he couldn't hear any noise.
"Found you!" at his left was a door with the tag..
'3'
He pushed open the door and gaped at what he saw.
On the huge sofa in the sitting room, a male and a female were making out, while the huge plasma tv was left on.
Due to the creaking sound of the door opening, they both jumped out of each other's arms.
The female's cheeks went red and hurriedly bent her head, embarrassed.
As for the male..
"Yo bud" he winked at Theo.
"You are my new roomie? well i didn't expect the school to send a fifteen years old here, but who cares. The younger, the more vibrant!" he grinned at Theo.
He had aurburn hair, a lean frame and a sexy boy toy kind of face. But he wasn't the dull omega type male.
Instead, he was quite fierce. A trait of a typical alpha male.
"Uh.. hi" Theo was short of words.
And what was this about him being a fifteen years old? he was frigging nearing thirty!
"The name's Balogun, and this is my babe Stella" Balogun drew Stella closer, planting a wet kiss on her lips.
Unlike Balogun, Stella was the rather shy type. She bit her lips shyly, darting her eyes to her toes as she mouthed nearly inaudibly.
"Hi"
"Urhm.. isn't this kind of thing prohibited? You know, a girl in a men hostel?" Theo arched his brows.
The boarding schools in his former world strictly prohibited such acts. If caught, a student might even get expelled.
"Well, yes i guess" Balogun shrugged.
"Aren't you bothered that i might expose you?" Theo was starting to understand this his new room mate less and less.
Not that he understood him before.
"But you won't right?"
"Geez! you are one tough guy" Theo shut the door and crashed on the second sofa in the parlour.
He glanced at the tv and immediately lost interest. What was currently airing was a live recording.
It was a life recording of a Mortem contest.
In his former world, wrestling was a famous sport where two people fight in a ring. The winner triumphs over the weak.
Pretty cliche
However in this world, it would seem like many sports in his former world had their counterparts in this world.
One of them was Mortem contest.
Like wrestling, the two fighters fight in an enclosed space. But in the Mortem contest, the space was thrice the size, and was surrounded by a space fold runic formation.
Plus in this current society where magic existed, there was no need for some cinematic tricks. Everything displayed was real and there was much more gore.
Theo didn't like such types of shows, plus it would be weird to find a 'kid' like him watching such a kind of show, right?
"You're so young. For You to be admitted, you must be either a rich young scion or a genius " Balogun scruntized Theo.
"Which are you?" Theo grinned.
"Do I look like a genius to you? naturally, I'm the first, hehe"
"So, which are you?" Balogun studied Theo intently with his gaze.
No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't see through this room mate of his. It was as if he was trying to peer into a thick mist.
'This situation only happens when there is a huge disparity in strength between us. But how is that even possible! He's barely sixteen!'
Theo smiled faintly and stretched out his hand, a tongue of hot flames danced around it.
"Interesting!" Balogun grinned.
Looks like this new room mate of his wasn't simple.
At the Diamond residence area..
This was like a forbidden area to most students. This was the residence area reserved only for the reclusive Principal.
Currently, Vice Principal Bekor stood before a bungalow, his clenched fist a few metres away from the ebony wood door.
Creak
The door slowly opened, revealing an hunched backed old baldie. He was supporting himself with a thin cane made of normal wood.
This was Principal Stiles, the one man holding the fort of the whole Academy.
He singlehandedly built Cloudy Peach Academy from scratch and made it a second tier force.
Without him, the Academy would even struggle to enter the ranks of a third tier force. His contribution to the Academy development was massive.
"So it's you Bekor boy. Come in. Come in" Principal Stiles as he gave way.
Vice Principal Bekor didn't stand on occassion. He walked in and sat comfortably on one of the three sofas in the parlour.
There wasn't much decorations or furnitures to be found. Apart from the sofas, there was a small sized tv, a video player box, a ceiling fan and rug carpet.
"Do you care for a drink?" Principal Stiles shut the door softly and proceeded to sit opposite Vice Principal Bekor.
Although the former was using a stick as support, his locomotion was unnaturally fast.
"I Will pass that for today. I came here to discuss an impending issue" Vice Principal Bekor waved his hands.
"Does it relate to the safety of the Academy?" Principal Stiles became serious.
Vice Principal Bekor nodded grimly.
"A Few hours ago, the portal leading to that runic formation testing ground you got while on your exploration began to act weirdly" he began to explain.
"How weirdly?" Principal Stiles tried his best to conceal the traces of excitement from exploding.
"It released a dragon appariton manifestation. If i am not mistaken, the whole city was alerted. The press tried barging it but i intervened. However, Drake Academy and Red flower Academy sent their people to investigate. In the process, the secret of that dragon's expert inheritance was leaked" Vice Principal Bekor was grim when he spoke.
"Friggin' awesome! Good job! hahahaha!" Principal Stiles could no longer contain it.
He clasped Vice Principal Bekor's shoulder, laughing cynically. As for the former, he just stared at his superior, mouth agape.
The Academy is facing a potential crisis and you are happy about it. Don't you care about the Academy's Safety?
"Uhm sir, are you okay?" Bekor gave Stiles a weird kind of look.
"Hahaha. You wouldn't understand!" Stiles laughed heartily.
Bekor just watched this comical display speechlessly. After few moments passed, Stiles laughter began to die down.
However, his previously pale face was now rosy.
"To be honest, that expert's inheritance cave exists. I even tried attempting clearing it once"
"Then what happened?"
"I failed" Stiles tone went solemn.
"How could that be possible?!" Bekor found it hard to believe.
Principal Stiles was lauded a living legend in the whole of Bullsin city. At his peak, he managed to reach the soul condensing rank at the ripe age of forty.
In this current society, powerful experts could even live for hundreds of years. Mortals could even extend their life span by taking in some expensive pills.
So reaching the soul condensing rank at the age of forty. Such a talent was legendary in Bullsin city.
So how could such a prodigy fail to clear an inheritance cave?
"The fallen expert is anything but simple. I believe that he's from one of the Viscountcies perhaps, he's even from one of the Earldoms!" Stiles breathing became ragged.
In the current society, there was basic heirachy in territory. There were twelve continents. These continents were jointly managed by three forces..
The Court of Magis. The Magic Knight corps and the Military Army Font.
Each continent was ruled by a Marshall.. Below the continents were countries, ruled by a President. Below were kingdoms ruled by Kings.
Directly under kingdoms were Duchies, ruled by Dukes. Under the duchies were Marquiessates ruled by Marquiesses.
Next came the Earldom, ruled by the Earls, then the Counties ruled by the Count.
Second to last were the Viscountcies, ruled by the Viscounts. Then the Citys ruled by the Mayours.
Smaller towns were ruled by tribe leaders. Thus was the basic heirachy.
So although Stiles was a genius in a small scale Bullsin city. He was aware he was just an ant in the grand schemes of things.
"You mean he has passed.. passed that level?" Bekor stammered.
If what the principal said was true, then the inheritance cave of such an expert was bound to be extremely difficult.
"But how does it relate to the manifestation?" Bekor arched his brows.
"It meant somebody cleared the inheritance cave!" Stiles grinned.
"Whaaat?!" the shock caused Bekor to almost fall to the ground.
An inheritance cave that the genius Old man Stiles couldn't clear, a young recruit cleared it?!
What a twist!
"But.. that dosen't warrant you to be so excited right? i mean, shouldn't you be envious or something?"
Stiles gwuaffed.
"Envious? why should i be? that's a student of my school. A lot of good things will be in that expert's inheritance. So in ten years time or so, we will be having an expert to hold up the forts"
Suddenly, he became grim.
"That is not all. Due to my failure, i recieved a backlash" Stiles rubbed his temples.
A kind of wave ripple appeared on his face.
Gradually, his facial outlook took a drastic change. The current Stiles had grey hair and a decaying face.
"F*ck!" Bekor cussed after witnessing this change.
This was his first time seeing the Principal's real face.
He couldn't resist asking.
"What happened to you?"
"I was afflicted with a powerful curse named the Vitality Bottleneck curse. It feeds on my vitality and my potential. With my talent, i would've entered 'that level' by now. But my major obstacle is this curse" Stiles smiled weakly.
"The worst part of the curse is it's silent killing effects. It began to act up after five years. I've endured ten years concealing this from everyone. However, i don't need to conceal it anymore because i have found the remedy"
"You mean the new recruit who cleared the inheritance cave? How is that person your remedy?"
"Bekor boy, there are some things you shouldn't know okay? your job is to find that lucky one. Whatever you do, FIND THEM!"
