Three weeks and five days later. Today is Valentine's Day and also my birthday. I got up in the morning, went to the bathroom, and after brushing my teeth and bathing, I put on my uniform and headed downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning, Mistress."
Silvia placed my breakfast on the table.
"Good morning."
I ate my cereal and scrolled through my phone. A bunch of messages came in one after the other.
[Happy Birthday]
[A beautiful day for a beautiful girl. Happy Birthday!]
[Happy 16th birthday, my Goddess. I'm your biggest fan.]
Yep, it's my birthday.
My birthday party has been planned for a week now. It's been advertised on television for everyone to know. Kelly is holding it at a five-star hotel, and a bunch of people are coming.
"Kelly must be creating chaos by now," I said.
I got into the car and drove to school. Sure enough, paparazzi were around, but we ignored them and drove in. I walked into school, and one by one, boys started handing me chocolates and flowers, confessing their love and reciting poetry.
"Chocolate?"
"I'm sorry, Mistress, but you can't. Your class begins in ten minutes," Silvia pointed out.
"Awe, at least one bite?"
"I'm sorry."
Silvia was spoiling the fun for me. I went to class, and as usual, everyone was inquiring about the birthday party.
"Roselina, is it true?"
"Is today your birthday?"
Leeshanel's friends seemed excited.
"Yes, it's today. I'm holding a birthday party, and you're all invited."
Silvia started handing out invitation cards that were black with golden writing and designs.
"Can I have one?"
I looked at the door, and there he was—Bradley.
"Sure," I said with a smile.
"I'm looking forward to it."
I even invited the teacher, but some had other matters to attend to, like bringing their husbands or wives for a romantic dinner. During recess, I walked over to the principal's office.
"Hello, Mr. Glachman."
"Oh, what's this?" he asked as he looked at the card.
"Oh, it's an invitation."
"Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing you there."
I left his office.
"Hey, are you forgetting someone?" Veronica was there, waiting for me to come out.
"Of course."
I handed her a card.
"I'll be seeing you there, baby."
She walked away.
"I dislike that human," Silvia said angrily, leaking out her killing intent.
"Let's return to class. You know, I am wondering what Kelly is doing."
...
Kelly was at the hotel.
Everyone was hustling about getting Roselina's birthday party ready. Diane was beside her on the phone, making arrangements.
Mr. Esteban came in with his crew.
"Miss Valentine, I must say I feel honored that you chose me to make the birthday cake. It's a joyous occasion for me."
He smiled at her.
"My sister likes your cake very much, so you're the only person worthy of making the birthday cake."
"Yes, I've baked the greatest cake of my life. I'm sure Roselina will love it."
"Good, go to the kitchen."
Soon after, Yuna arrived as well.
"Do you have the dress?" Kelly asked.
"Yes, it's right here. I have to say this is the biggest birthday party I've seen. It's an even match for the Prince of England's birthday party," Yuna said.
"Yes, this party is what I've been waiting for a very long time, and I want it to be perfect," Kelly added.
Everything was prepared, and by 3 PM, Roselina stopped by the hotel. She went up to the top floor, where Kelly was waiting.
"Sister."
"Kellly, isn't this party a bit much?"
"For you, it's nothing. I've waited a long time for this, Yuri."
"Yes, come with me."
Roselina was kidnapped by Yuri and her assistant.
"Hey, wait, heeeeyyy!"
Roselina was locked in a room. Kelly turned her gaze to Silvia, Debra, and the two twins. In their hands, they held bags.
"What are those?" Kelly asked.
"These are chocolates, roses, and other gifts Mistress has received from her schoolmates," Silvia explained.
"There are so many! I think Mistress has broken the national record for the most gifts received."
"Perhaps we should all prepare as well," Silvia suggested.
"I agree."
And so, Kelly and the others got prepared.
**7 AM**
Guests began to arrive at Roselina's birthday party. People from all over London came—wealthy individuals in sports cars, luxurious vehicles, and even a helicopter.
Inside the hotel, many people were dressed for the occasion, especially Roselina's classmates.
"OMG, look at all these people!"
"And they're filthy!"
Leeshanel and her friends looked around, admiring the overwhelming crowd. Veronica arrived on her motorcycle, removed her helmet, and walked up to the door in a stunning dress.
"May I see your invite?" the security guard asked. Veronica produced a black card, showed it to him, and was granted access.
As she walked in, she couldn't help but admire the decorations. At the end of the room stood a stage with a throne. Soon after, Kelly came down to greet everyone, wearing a stylish black dress. Her long white hair was tied in a ponytail, and her diamond earrings shimmered in the light. Silvia followed in a dress similar to Kelly's, and everyone else wore beautiful attire.
"I can't believe so many people came to Miss Roselina's birthday party," Diane remarked.
"I should have brought more," Silvia added.
"Hello, Kelly," a woman approached. She had blonde hair and green eyes, her voluptuous figure adorned in a striking red dress.
"Mystic!" Kelly greeted her with a warm hug.
"When did you fly back from America?" Kelly asked.
"Last night. I got the invitation and couldn't refuse. Why didn't you tell me you had a sister? I thought you and I were best friends."
"You never asked."
"You have a fair point. So where's the birthday girl?" Mystic inquired.
"She's currently getting ready," Kelly replied.
Efreet walked in wearing a business suit and a smile.
"OMG, who is that big hunk of a man?" Mystic asked.
"That's Efreet, a colleague," Kelly explained.
Efreet approached Kelly and the others with his cub by his side. "Where is Roselina?"
"She's getting ready. So glad you could join us, Efreet."
"Hello," Mystic said as she walked up to him.
"Moesha Norah, but you can call me Mystic," she said, extending her hand. Efreet shook it.
"Efreet, a pleasure."
"You're so big and strong. Were you in the army?" Mystic asked.
"No, I'm the king of the jungle."
Efreet's odd response confused Mystic, and then she started laughing. "You're a funny guy. I like that in a man. Why don't we go have a talk?"
She took his arm and led him away. "I'll see you around, Kelly," Mystic waved goodbye.
Bradley and his three friends arrived at the five-star hotel after getting out of a taxi. They gazed at the sports cars parked in front—Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Aston Martins, and Bentleys.
Even news reporters and paparazzi were taking pictures of the celebrities and business tycoons in attendance.
"Wow, this place is..." Elle was speechless.
"No joke, is the Valentine family really this rich?" Fray asked.
"The Valentine family is filthy rich and so high in society that even the government can't touch them," Rachael explained.
Suddenly, there was a commotion.
"I told you I was invited! Do you know who I am? I'm the—"
"Yeah, I don't care, sir. Without an invitation, you can't go in. Now back away so the other guests can come in."
"Why you... I'll have you fi—"
A huge, bald-headed bodyguard, standing at 7 feet tall, approached, removed his glasses, and looked down at the man with a murderous glare.
"I said scram," he said.
"This... this isn't over yet," the man stammered before running off in fear.
Bradley and his friends walked up to the security guard.
"Invitation?" the guard asked.
"Yes, here. I was invited by Roselina; I'm her schoolmate, and these are my friends."
The guard examined the card and verified its authenticity. "You can go in."
As they entered, they were filled with awe.
"Wow, this place is amazing! Look at all the celebrities!" Elle exclaimed.
"Wait, isn't that Kelly Valentine?" Fray said, pointing.
"She's my idol!" Fray added.
"If you want, I can introduce you to her," Rachael offered.
"Really?"
"Sure, let's go!"
As they were about to move, Bradley overheard an interesting conversation nearby.
"Rest assured, my gift will definitely win first prize. After that, I'll woo her, and she'll be mine." It was a blonde-haired boy boasting about winning Roselina's heart.
"Don't push your luck; she won't fall for a guy like you," Bradley stated.
"Oh, and you are?" the boy asked, sizing him up.
"I'm Roselina's friend," Bradley replied.
"If you're her friend, that would make me her uncle. Scram, kid; this is a rich people's world, and you don't belong here."
Hearing that infuriated Bradley, but Elle pulled him away. They walked up to Kelly, who was standing with Silvia.
"Hello, Mrs. Valentine," Rachael called out. Kelly looked at her and recognized her.
"Yes, Rachael Korbowski, I presume?"
"Yes, ma'am."
Kelly then turned to Fray, who was gazing at her with admiration. "And you are?"
"Oh, I'm Fray, and you're my heroine. Can I hold your hand?"
"Sure."
After Fray touched Kelly's hand, she beamed. "It's warm."
Suddenly, Yuri came to greet everyone.
