My Novel Is Alive

A man who writes a fantasy novel finds himself astounded as the words suddenly manifest on the canvas without his direct input. His hands are far from the keyboard, yet the canvas continues to fill with writing, weaving its own story.

I looked at Elera who was sitting in the chair I usually sit in, I looked around... her body was good, eh... wait, maybe there was a 'Hot Mom' message at earlier.

"Sis, I want to know about something…"

Elera looked at me with a caring face, "Sure, Alan. Is there something you want to ask?"

I feel a little embarrassed when I ask this question, but I want to know.

"What does mean by 'Hot Mom' that appeared on my monitor screen?"

Elera remained calm even though my question sounded a bit strange. She smiled and laughed, "Oh, Hahahaha."

"W-What's so funny?"

Elerea wiped the tears that had fallen from laughing and looked at me, "Actually that's the name of my 'pen'."

I blinked my eyes several times, digesting what he said. Elera saw my face full of confusion.

"So… actually, I want to be a beautiful and sexy mother, but yeah… I'm still not married," she explained further.

Of course, at first, I thought she was really a mother who already had children, considering the message that appeared earlier.

Elera smiled, "Why did you ask that? Did a message appear when I approached you?"

I nodded my head

Elera nodded her head, "That's the pen name or author's name. You know, under every novel there is the author's name, right? Well, that's it. I actually just chose it randomly, but yeah... it can't be changed."

I nodded my head, understanding her explanation.

After we both laughed together at my previous confusion, Elera continued, "But, what about your previous question, Alan? What do you want to know about this fictional world or your role as Writm?"

I pondered for a moment before answering, "I want to know more about our role as Writm. What should we do, and what should we avoid?"

Elera smiled, "Good question. As Writers, our main task is to maintain the balance and flow of the story in the fictional world. We must not destroy the novel system, as mentioned earlier. That means we must not take actions that destroy the storyline or change the fate of the characters in it drastically."

I nodded my head, remembering seriously.

Elera continued, "However, we also have the freedom to explore that fictional world, interact with the characters, and even help them in some cases if that's necessary to keep the story going. And most importantly, we shouldn't get too involved in the story, because it could have an undesirable impact on that fictional world."

I digested all the information carefully. "So, we're here to keep the storyline balanced and make sure everything goes according to plan."

Elera nodded her head. "Exactly. And you, Alan, will learn more about this fictional world and how we maintain it as time goes by. Welcome to the world of Writm, my partner."

I feel increasingly interested in my new role in preserving fictional stories. The world that previously seemed ordinary suddenly becomes much more interesting

"When I understand I will go," she said as she stood up

"Are you ready to go?"

"Of course, it's already late you know, I should go home and rest."

I just nodded my head for the umpteenth time, then I walked with her to the down stairs and opened the door for her. At that moment, I saw my father in front of the door and was just about to open it.

"Eh?" Those were the words that came out of my father's mouth when he saw his son open the door, and there was a beautiful woman next to his son.

Then, roughly, my father grabbed my shoulders, making me break out in a cold sweat. Will he be angry?

His face slowly drew closer and he whispered something in my ear, "How do you know a formeridols?"

"Huh?"

Silence fell, and I didn't know what to answer. My father was still looking at me sharply, as if looking for an answer in my gaze. He then released his grip on my shoulders and took a deep breath.

"I—"

"My name is Elera, as you said earlier... it's true that I'm a former idol but I left my career a long time ago."

My father jumped towards Elera with a big smile on his face, "That's right! That's right! I know you are Elera Mahara, a former idol from 2018 to 2020. You are part of the band 'Luminous Harmony,' right? Your songs are so popular, especially 'Starry Dreams' and 'Eternal Melody.' I always followed your career at that time, Elera!"

Elera was surprised to hear my father mention details about her past as an idol.

She smiled and nodded, "That's right, I am part of 'Luminous Harmony.' Thank you for your support."

Oh, so Elera is a former idol huh... Oh wait, I have to hurry and take her out before the conversation gets too long, then I grabbed Elera's hand and walked out, "I'll go first!"

When we were running  from my father, he just shouted, " Don't be out for long!"

When we were finally leave the house, I could feel the relief of having avoided a potentially long conversation with my father. Elera and I walked away from my house, into the darkening night.

Elera laughed softly. "Your father seems very enthusiastic about meeting me."

I shook my head. "Yes, that's him, he likes following the news and developments of artists, so he must be very happy to meet former idols."

Elera could only nod her head while laughing softly.

We walked away from my house, leaving my father who was still excited to tell me more about Elera'career as a former idol. We both laughed out of my father earshot.

"Elera, thank you for coming and giving me an explanation," I said as we walked down a fairly quiet street.

"No problem, Alan. I'm happy to help you understand your role as Writm. We'll work well together, yes?"

I nodded. "Sure… but I have a question."

Elera looked at me

"Why does your 'Avatar' want to kill Elerona?"

Elera looked at me with a serious look. "That is part of the role and storyline in the novel. My avatar, originally served as an antagonist who tried to kill Elerona to fulfill her own goals. However, your actions to protect Elerona have changed the direction of the story. That is a significant change in the storyline, and that's why I had to come to make sure everything went well."

I still feel a bit confused. "So, the Maid you control is the part of you that tried to kill Elerona?"

Elera nodded her head. "Yeah, you could say that. Writm is like we have an avatar that we can control according to the needs of the story. Sometimes, that involves internal conflicts in the story, and we have to make sure everything goes according to plan."

I nodded, trying to understand this rather complicated concept. "I think I'm starting to understand. But what will happen next? What should we do?"

Elera smiled. "We will continue to monitor the fictional stories we work on, and if necessary, we will intervene to maintain balance and appropriate storylines. As long as we work together, everything will be fine."

I felt relieved hearing Elera explanation. "Okay, let's do this together."

Not realizing we were walking at that moment, Elera stopped walking in front of the fence of a simple house. I felt the sound of footsteps disappear, I turned my body and looked at Elera.

"Is, this your house?"

Elera nodded with a smile. "Yes, this is my house. Thank you for accompanying me home, Alan."

I felt happy to be able to see Elera house, "No problem, Elera. I'm glad I could talk to you and understand more about our role as Writm."

"I'm glad to meet you too, Alan," she said then se take a paper from her jacket and give it to me, "Don't hesitate to contact me if there are any questions or problems in the story that we need to work on together."

I nodded. "I definitely will. See you, Elera."

Elera smiled and walked to the door of her house. "See you, Alan. Hopefully we can maintain an interesting storyline in the fictional world."

I waved as Elera entered her house, and then I turned around to go back to my own house.

I continued my walk home with my mind filled with everything I had learned today. Fictional worlds that previously seemed so far away now felt so close, and my new role as a Writer would open the door to adventures, I had never imagined before.

When I arrived home, I felt happy to be back in familiar surroundings. I know that my new role as a Writer will take me to different fictional worlds, but this house remains a place of comfort and safety for me

I walked to my room and lay down on the bed, thinking about everything that had happened today. I hope to speak with Elera again and understand more about our duties and responsibilities as Writm. Maybe one day, I too will have my own fictional story to look after...

Ring! The clock ring sounds

Clack!

After I turned off the clock ring, I opened my eyes, I looked around the room, finding out where I was. This is my own bedroom, a place that is very familiar to me. It felt like I had just woken up from a strange dream. My memories of meeting Elera and my new role as Writm are still fresh in my mind.

I felt compelled to return to my computer and continue my adventures in the world of fiction. The new tasks and my new role as a Writm make my life much more interesting. I want to know how the stories will develop and how I can keep them balanced.

I stood up from my bed, but... I didn't sit down straight away, instead I went down to the down stairs and into the dining room. Maybe something made me want to see what was there, or maybe I was feeling hungry. I don't know what made me decide to go there.

When I entered the dining room, as usual I saw my parents but I ignored them, I walked to the table and took bread.

My father who was playing on his cellphone looked at me, "Hm?"

While my mother was continuing to cook, after taking bread and filling the glass with water, without saying much, I walked back upstairs to my room.

When I arrived at my room, I sat in a chair in front of the computer. The monitor screen displayed the usual display, only word for word appeared, so I started reading it without seeing what happened before.
