My Nerd Mate: I Won't Let Her Go

She breathed in and out, trying to savor some air, she uttered, "I wish I_" She paused and tried not to open her eyes to meet, her best friend, Fennick gaze because she knew she might have a change of heart. "I wish not to have a mate! I wish I had no mate! I wish I won't find my mate and I wish he doesn't find me either!" Aurora swore never to have a mate when her grandmother told her she will die just the same way her mother died because of her mate. Every year on her birthday, Aurora visits the spring to say her wish (I wish not to have a mate!)  When she turned twenty-one, she went to the spring as usual and this time, Sage, was passing by and he happened to be the mate she never wished for. He fell for her beauty knowing she was his mate but when he heard her wish, he left in bitterness. Why would Aurora die when she meets her mate? What happens when she finds out the person she took as a friend was her mate?  Note: This story contains a lot of fantasy and has a different cliche from a normal werewolf book. You Don't Command Your Luna

Aurora laughed hysterically at Sage whose eyebrows were raised at her. He looked too intense and she laughed the most. Was he serious about her kneeling before him? Was he? Softly, she suppressed her laughter and an indignant look took over. "You look too crucial to see my knee before you. I can't believe you," she said and scoffed. She was sure he was teasing her.

"Knee, Aurora," he ordered again but she kept mute and stood staring at him. She was trying to see if truly he meant his word. Even if he meant it, would she be so dumb to keep it before him?

Sage orifices stared into hers as he clouded his face with a blank expression. He meant the word he said to her but he was sure she wouldn't give a damn about it. She was in the arrogant group so it would be too difficult for her to solicit with him. When their orifices started to seem heavy without a blink, together, they both shifted their gaze away.

"I'm your Alpha, Rora, you have to do whatever I asked you to do. I thought you said earlier that I could command anything for myself," he said and placed the brewed latte on the tray.

"Tch, tch, tch," Aurora clicked her tongue. "The time you were to make the order, you didn't and I think that time is gone, Sage," she mumbled and followed behind him as they made their way to their dining table.

Sage shook his head. "There are things you need to understand now, Aurora. You need to do things dashingly and smartly. I can't just make untamed decisions and then everything will fall back to where I started it from," Sage explained while Aurora fumed in anger. Did he just mention that she was dumb? Has he forgotten who she was before she got to be his luna? He was starting to say things that aren't conjuring to her hearings and she felt like spanking his face.

"I'm not scared of you, Sage. I'm your mate and you can do nothing to me, okay? Just watch what you say to your Luna. She's not as calm and gentle as you think," she stated while his lips softly parted at her words. "I mean every word I say now, don't act like you're the only one who can give a command," she said and started to drink from her juice.

"You don't mean what you're saying, I bet you don't. My Luna would never make such comments," Sage told her and the room filled with her cheerful giggle.

"You think so?" She asked and tried to curb her giggles but she ended up making a huge one.

"Okay, fine. You won," Sage said and joined in the striking laugh.

Aurora then picked up the burger and began to chew on it. She ate them and moaned while Sage focused his hearing on her moans. He watched her in admiration and lust her lips. At that moment, he knew he needed her. He had been restraining himself from her but it hadn't been easy for him. He so much wanted her.

Aurora noticed the odd look on his face and waved her hands across his face. Sage shifted his eyes immediately from her dancing lips up to her face. "Aren't you eating?" She asked, picked up his burger and nudged him to take a bite. He did and ate it silently. She nudged him again and when he tried to collect it from her she moved her hands away. "Eat from my hands or forget about it."

"You aren't giving me enough mulch to eat," he complained and frowned.

"That's your forfeit wherever you make such a command," she told him and he chuckled. "You make fun of me one more time and I will make sure you don't get to eat it."

"I thought I prepared this for myself."

"What are you insinuating?"

Sage shrugged his shoulders, "Nothing, I just thought you were being too harsh," he said and that was the end of his meal as Aurora began to feed in his burger. He gawked at her in astonishment. He hadn't known she was serious with her words. At that moment, he swore never to belittle her again.

Aurora finished the two plates of burgers while Sage drank from his latte. She eyed him and kept a devious smirk on her face as she went about doing other things.

After a couple of minutes, they both got ready to have the night's rest. Just immediately, they lay in each other's arms, Sage felt someone was trying to communicate with him. He opened his mind instantly and his Beta spoke to him.

"What?!" Sage cringed, aloud and Aurora looked up at him with raised eyebrows. But her face softened when she learned he was linking with someone.

Sage gently pulled Aurora up from him and cut off the link. He looked at her waiting countenance and uttered, "There's an attack, Rae told me just now."

"Attack? From where? In our pack?" She asked worriedly and also carried herself up from the bed as he did.

"About five pubs are injured and Rae said it was a sword fight," he revealed and Aurora gasped.

"Assassins?"

"Correct!" Sage bellowed. He walked straight to his closet and began to rumble through his clothes to find something to put on. Aurora did the same and when they had succeeded in putting on their clothes, they both rushed out of the room.

Sage guards who were already standing at the entrance ran towards his direction. "No one should shift!" He ordered and they nodded as they all began to hurry down into the forest where Rae had pronounced the pubs were attacked.

On getting there, they met the pack healer already at the wolf's aid, helping in treating and covering their wounds.

"They ran away immediately after they felt our presence," Rae related to Sage.

"How's their scent? Is it also blocked like our first encounter?" Sage asked.

Rae shook his head, disapprovingly, "Totally," he said.

"Then, they are the same batch that had attacked us the other day," Sage mumbled and turned to all the shifters present, "Go after them, they shouldn't have gone far."
