The Mating Season (First day as Couple)

Jody and Zev were sleeping next to each other on the bed in Zev's room. There was a long pillow between the two of them. They both stared at the ceiling because neither of them wanted to sleep. Both of them don't share a bed with anyone. They wrap their bodies in a comforter up to their chests and aren't looking at each other.

"I don't understand why we still have long pillows between us?" Zev asked. "We've been intimate and tasted each other twice, so I don't know what this first one is for."

"Well, that's how I protect myself from you."

"Protection from me?" Zev asked, surprised. "Jeez, do you think I will do something against your will?"

"Well, we can't say for sure. You said you could control yourself because it wasn't the mating season yet, but it's the third day of the mating season now, and it's hard for us both to get used to it. I am just taking care of myself. What if I get pregnant at a young age? God, I'm too young to have kids."
