The City

Jody and Zev were ready to go to the city, but it was still dark. Jody will take her friends to Rivendell. Jack went with Zev on their trip. While he was away, Loel took over as leader of the pack.

"Don't worry about it, Loel. I won't be long," said Zev.

Loel said, "Don't worry, I can handle it."

"Zev, why are you bringing Jack along? Kross said, "It should be me."

"I need Zev when we get home, and you, Loel needs you here more," said Zev.

Kross looked at Loel and frowned. "I don't believe that."

"Kross..."

Kross looked at Jody, and Jody hugged Kross, which surprised everyone. Kross's ears turned red at first, but he soon calmed down. Then Jody smiled at him. Loel and Jack pulled Kross away from Jody without warning, which surprised both Jody and Kross.

"Jeez, that's enough, Kross," said Jack.

Zev pulled Jody. "So what did you say? "Jody said quietly.

Jody turned to Zev. "H-how did you know?"
