Mating Season: Last 2 Days

Jody is shocked to learn that her parents' graves have been moved right next to Zev's clan grave. She realized Glendir had ordered the transfer, knowing the corpses were her parents. Zev was standing while looking at Jody, who was busy wiping the surface of her parents' tombstone. Zev can still feel the pain of his wound little by little, mainly when the bandage sticks to the dried scab or blood.

Jody glanced at Zev. "Can't you sit down?"

Zev carefully sat next to Jody. "Will you introduce me to your parents?"

"What?" Jody wanted to laugh at what Zev said.

"You have a boyfriend, and they need to get to know me," said Zev.

"But they're dead..." Jody said. "They won't hear you."

"How did you know? You haven't died yet."

Jody frowned. Zev noticed Jody's reaction. "Hi, Tito and Tita. I'm Zev, by the way, Jody's boyfriend."

Jody looked at Zev. He was smiling and talking in front of her parents' grave as if he could see them.
