Losing Sight Of The New Guests

"Why the hell are they here?!" Ignoring the screams from Genji's room, I was forced to rush over to my room with the monster girls in tow.

"How would I know? I'm just telling you that I saw them going into your room!" Senya retorted; her face contorted into a look of anger.

First the room the two monsters I brought in disappeared from their rooms and now this? Damn it, why is this happening today all of a sudden? Not only do I have to check on the twins, but right after that checking on Genji would be the next step. However, those screams from the distance don't exactly fill me with excitement.

Upon reaching my room, I pushed open the door and stepped right in. Glancing around the place, I noticed the twins lying on the bed beside each other, their eyes gawking right at me. With a smile they greeted me, their hand suggestively moving down the chest over their netted lingerie.

"We've been waiting for you for so long," Mercy said with a chuckle.

"Yeah, almost thought you wouldn't show up to your own room," Claire added, giggling as well.

At a loss for words, I had no clue what to say. On one hand, I was quite flattered by their gesture, however, this was hardly the time to indulge in decadence. Thankfully, walking in right behind me, Rin was the one to howl at them first.

"Get dressed, you rainbow-looking sluts," complaining about their deep red and blue lingerie, she bore her fangs to them as a warning.

Frightened by the sight, the duo pulled the blankets over to their eyes. The rest of the crew walked into the room before long as well, and seeing so many people before them, the twins hid themselves completely under the blankets.

"What were they doing?" Maiko muttered to herself beside me.

"Trying to get an upper hand I would assume," Cinder replied, folding her hands.

"I really should've hit someone back when we had that talk in the bathhouse," curling up her fist, the hot-tempered demoness seemed ready to pick a fight.

"Save your strength," turning around, I decided to quickly check out Genji's room. "Also lock this door from outside, and Cinder have some of your slime copies stay with the girls for their safety."

Waiting no more than a few seconds, we were done hanging back with the twins. Heading straight for the VIP room, a loud shriek almost deafened me. It sounded as coarse as nails on a chalkboard. Seconds later, as we were inches from the door, I heard Genji's voice gurgling on something followed soon after with a loud thud.

Reaching out to the door, yet another voice burst out.

"Glory to Human–" Cut short as I opened the door, the voice grew distant.

Coming face to face with the blood-spattered face of Ophelia, I was at a loss once more as she looked like a phantom. Holding two weapons in her hands, she spoke of something, but my mind still couldn't comprehend what was happening, especially with Genji's dead body right by my feet.

Spawning my hands wide, I tried to step away from the sight and get the girls to safety. Ophelia whispered something more in response before drawing her weapons back into her arms. Moving closer to us, a crooked smile crossed her lips.

"Say manager, are you compromised?" She asked, but I had no clue about exactly what she meant.

"No," I replied, still making my way further and further back.

Squinting her gaze, she glared at me for a moment. Then, emerging back from her arms, her weapons were drawn as she leaped in my direction.

"NO!" Before her blade could graze an inch of me, Maiko extended her hand towards Ophelia and bound her in threads of magical light. "RUN!"

All of us turned to the side to escape through the hallways, but slashing the magic threads with her blade, Ophelia leaped towards us once again. However, this time, her blade slashed into the wall inches from my body. With a smile, she turned her head to look at me.

"I'll take that as a yes," she said, drawing the blade out of the wall.

"Fuck!" Rushing in the opposite direction, I tried to get everyone to safety, but before I could even take a step something cold pierced through from the back of my skull.

For a moment there was darkness, I felt no pain yet I knew something was missing. When I finally came to and saw the horrified faces of the girls in front, it made me realize exactly what had happened.

"M-my eye…" The bronze pipe had plucked my left eye from its socket.

"UGHHHH!" Enraged, Cinder moved closer and sent her fire slime clones flying at Ophelia.

Feeling the pipe pull out of the back of my skull, I could smell wax melting right behind me. Downed on my knees, however, the pain of losing an eye finally began setting in. Moving up beside me, Maiko began casting some sort of spell, while Rin and Senya lunged at Ophelia as well.

Even so, as my mind grew tired and ready to let go, another strike from Ophelia's blade slashed right through my stomach. The moment she pulled the blade out my guts spewed onto the floor, and my body twisted around from the force of the pull alone. As the light in my eyes flickered, I saw Ophelia's true body being revealed from being burned.

Golden brown pipes and pistons made up her insides. They worked like clockwork even as Cinder kept burning Ophelia's body, and Rin and Senya tried to subdue her.

"You really thought you could beat me?" Her wide metal grin without the face wax was as horrifying as it could've been. "I've lived far more lives than you, I've killed more competent rivals tha–"

Cutting her own words, she widened her eyelids. Staring at me without another word, she tilted her head from side to side while glaring at my gaping wounds.

"But sir, I have orders from General Markus–" Once again, her sentence was cut short. "I-I'm sorry, I'll be right there!"

It was quite obvious that she wasn't talking to me, but at that time, being in the condition that I was, I couldn't have cared less about why she suddenly decided to leave.

"Return to work," were the last words I heard from her before my mind slipped completely.
