Lunch with Seth...

Ava and Shirley went to their classes as soon as the bell rang. I stayed back to calm down a bit. And so I was obviously late to class.

"Late on the very first day of school, Miss Ashley Watts!", shouted the most cranky teacher of the school, AP English, Mr. Frank.

"Sorry, sir." (Ash)

"You better not be late next time! Get in!" (Mr. Frank)

There's only one seat empty which is in front of Seth. This is the first time we are ever sharing a class. OMG, this couldn't be any worse. I go and sit in my chair and stay just as still as a doll. I was so conscious even to take a breathe! Then I felt a hand calling me from behind. It was Seth! He handed me a piece of paper-

"Hey Ashley, I'm sorry for what happened in the hallway. Ryan just doesn't know how to behave at times. It was nice meeting you though!"

I didn't know if I should reply so I remained silent for the rest of the period . I decided to jump out of the class immediately after the teacher goes out but I was stopped by Seth.

"Hey Ashley, about the hallway....."(Seth)

"Hey, it's totally fine. I get it. I'm sorry too. Bye." (Ash)

" Ash, I was hoping we could grab a bite together. What do you say?" (Seth)

"Umm....I don't know....." (Ash)

"Come on, let's introduce ourselves properly and become friends." (Seth)

"Okay then, I'll ask my friends if they'd like to tag along. Is it fine?" (Ash)

"Yeah, totally!" (Seth)

As I walk out of the class, I saw that Ava and Shirley were already waiting for me. I said them about what happened in the class and Ava accepted to come, in fact, she was pretty excited. Shirley decided to meet with Felix.

Seth, Ryan, Ava and I met in the canteen and started introducing ourselves properly.

"Hello, I'm Ashley Watts from grade 11. I love reading books and participating in quiz competitions...." (Ash)

"No doubt your are a nerd!", Ryan said (laughing).

Ava made a ball with a paper napkin and threw it at him. "Shut up!" She always protects me.

"Fine! Well, I'm Ryan, and the most handsome boy in the entire school!"(Ryan)

"Hello, I'm Seth Garcia from grade 11. I love to play basketball and painting. Hope we can get along soon!" (Seth)

OMG! Isn't he just so awesome and cool? He's multi-talented, hot and smart.

"I'm Ava Scott, grade 11, I love singing and I'm a huge fan of Shawn Mendes!" (Ava)

"Really, I love Shawn Mendes too!" (Seth)

"Wow! That's cool. Did you listen to his album-Illuminate?" (Ava)

"Of course, I did." (Seth)

"OMG! That album is sooooo amazing. Just love him!" (Ava)

"I'm totally with you." (Seth)

*They laugh and chuckle*

Both of them talked about music and Shawn Mendes for the rest of the time. They are getting along pretty well. Ava is really friendly and anybody would like her. Maybe I could get close to Seth through her. And Ryan is in his own world, playing some games on his phone.

"Can I get your number, Ava? I know a local band playing next weekend and maybe we can go there together." (Seth)

"Uh.....", Ava looks at me. Asking for permission, I guess, haha.

I faintly smile and give a slight nod, assuring her that it's fine.

"Well, sure! I'd love to go that concert. And my number is....." (Ava)

Did Seth just ask Ava out? Did I make a mistake by asking Ava to tag along to have lunch with Seth? NO! What am I thinking. They probably just have some common interests and so they became friends quickly. Ava would never like Seth, I mean she does like him like every other girl because he's good looking but not like the way that I love him. And as for Seth, he's sweet to everyone. Uff..this is so confusing. I have to clear my head.
