"Did you really think you would escape from me, my dear pet?"

I stand frozen in place mouth agape at the sight before me. The two people I wished never to run into were actually right in front of me at the moment. I swallow and walk towards them.

"You called for me King."

"Yes, meet Leonard and Finnley."

(What cheeky names.)

"A pleasure to meet you two," I say in a calm polite tone.

"Yes, well these two are our most extinguished guests, you must treat them with utmost respect Nine."

"If you don't mind my asking but who are they? And why are they our extinguished guests?"

Leo is in front of me his hand caressing my cheek gently before I can even blink," Ah my lovely pet, you don't have to be so formal, after all we are destined to be together."

Alarmed, I take a step back leaving a little space between us.

"Please restrain yourself sir."

He smirks and goes back to his seat.

"Nine, I will leave them in your care," he says and turns to the guys," Nine is the best doctor here, you will be safe under her care."

"Am sure we will," he says and the hairs at the back of my neck stand on edge at his tone.

I briskly walk out of the office after being dismissed without waiting for our so called 'extinguished guests'. I hurry down the hospital corridors as fast as I can in an attempt to throw the two out of my tail with no luck. Leo grabs my hand and pulls me back causing me to stumble onto his toned chest.

"Why are you in such a hurry pet? Director King said you will show us around," he whispers into my ear and I shut my eyes trying to even my breathing.

I clear my throat and push him away," Why are you so touchy? Can't you communicate without having to be so aggressive with me?"

"Aggressive? Do you think you are in any position to call me aggressive?"

"I very much believe I am, am not the one going around being physical with any man and claiming them as my own," I reply and he smiles.

"Nine!"

I turn and spot Luna running towards me flowers in hand.

"Beautiful flowers, whom did you get them from? A crush?"

"I wish, these are actually for you. I received them on your behalf because you were still in King's office."

"Oh, thank you," I say and take the bouquet from her reading the card," 'I can't stop thinking about our first encounter, would you do me the honours of going on a date with me? I don't want our first time to be the last. This is my number, I would love it if you called and informed me of the perfect time to meet up. I shall await you my blossom flower... signed Sly.'"

"Since when did you have so many people asking you out? Why don't you share the secret with me?"

Luna slaps my shoulder playfully and I smile.

"It's just luck," I reply and hug the flowers to my chest.

"It's more than just luck."

Leo angrily grabs the flowers from my hands and stomps on them before tossing them in the bin.

"Hey!"

He grabs my chin and I slightly wince at the strength of his touch.

"Who sent you those flowers?"

"Why do you want to know? Do you think you are my mum asking the details of everything I do?"

He tightens his grip, his finger nails piercing through my skin and I could feel my blood seeping from the wound.

"I'll ask this once, who are they from? Answer me! Who sent those flowers?"

"I thought you said you are going to ask once."

"Don't get coy with me," he says and I scoff.

Our little confrontation gathered a few people's attention and soon we were surrounded by both patients and doctors.

"Nothing to see here, please go back to your posts," Luna says trying to disperse the growing group.

The group slowly dissipates while talking amongst themselves in hushed tones but their words reach my ears just fine.

"Are they having a lovers quarrel?"

"The hospital isn't the exact place for such fights won't you agree?"

"And isn't that Dr.Nine? I never imagined she'd be in such types of scandals."

"Let go of me."

"What?" Leo asks an unmistakable mocking tone in his voice.

I bring my hand to his and roughly pull it from my face grazing my skin as I did so.

"Hey! Am not..."

"This is a hospital. I'd refrain from indecent behaviours if I were you," I say and Leo takes a step back.

"How dare talk like that to-"

*SLAP*

I stand before him my panting echoing through the now silent hall.

"Nine... calm down..."

"I DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOU, WHY WON'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Surprised my by sudden outburst, Luna pulls me into a hug and my trembling shoulders slowly calm down.

"Aren't those the two distinguished guests of King?"

Swinging her arm around my shoulder, Luna helps me down the halls and out onto the pavements leaving a stunned Leo and Finn behind.

"Leo do you want-"

"Let it be Finn, let's go."

Together they walk out ignoring the arising murmurs.

"Luna, do you think you can drop off my stuff home? I don't think I can-"

"Don't worry I understand."

"Thank you."

With that, I wave her goodbye and head down the path to my apartment.

"Sister? You're home early today, what ha-"

He stops mid sentence and runs towards me grabbing my shoulders.

"What happened to your face? Why didn't you apply some medicine on it?"

"Oh?"

I bring my hand to my chin but Black grabs my hand mid air his eyes filled with worry.

"It's nothing Black, don't look so worried. Am still breathing right?"

"Sister, it looks painful are you sure it doesn't hurt at all?"

"Miss Nine!"
