*Defenders Base*

"Well, I hope everyone had a good rest?" I said when all Defenders settled down.

"You called us for a party or something?" Silk asked me raising an eyebrow.

"Well, yes and no." I replied making them confused.

"We established The Defenders to fight crimes, and now are officially a metahuman combat team as well. What are your thoughts about our fight with Fisk?" I asked them.

"We won? I mean, that's what matters right?" Spidey said.

"We're not strong enough" Daredevil said getting everyone's attention. I nodded at him to continue. " Against each opponent, we either had a advantage, or outnumbered them. If we had an equal number of opponents, there is a good chance we would have lost." He finished, making everyone realize how right he is.

"Indeed. Our opponents were tough, and we don't have enough experience, no power to fight them alone, and if we were to take metahumans like them again, what will we do if someone stronger shows up?" Iron Fist added, getting a nod from us.

"Yeah, we mostly trained to take down criminals with guns and stuff. The first time I encountered those X-booster guys was tough as well. If Fisk would have let them fight us rather than the SWAT, it would have been a different story. We are not prepared to take on metahumans. Especially those who work in groups." Arachnid said and sighed.

Everyone contemplated silently for a while when Luke asked, "You got anything about the problem Enigma? You called the meeting for this reason right?"

"Yup, and I want your opinion on this." I said getting their attention. I placed the SSS vials in front of them and said, "These vials contain an enhanced version of Super Soldier Serum, the one Captain America took. But I designed it to increase the best aspects in us, rather than getting all bulky like him."

"You serious?" Spidey asked.

"Positive. For example, the one designed for you and Silk will increase all you abilities and senses, and generate a bio-electric field around you giving resistance to mind control to some extent. You will have to train it to resist omega level telepaths though." I said, making them understand easily. The girls were glad they won't be getting any unnecessary muscles out of nowhere.

"As much as I would like to agree, I have to decline. From a young age, I was taught to enhance my abilities through hard work. I will keep myself away from any artificial methods of increasing my strength." Iron Fist said, with Colleen agreeing with him. Well, I actually expected that.

"I knew you would say that, that's why I also bought these." I said bringing out two sealed bowls.

"Huh, where did you-" Spidey said but I cut in.

"This is an medicine made from spiritual herbs. This unlocks a person's natural talents and increases the limiter on them. It also eases the process of unlocking the meridians, helping master chi. You use your abundant amount only in your fists, but if you understand it's flow, you could do much more." I told Iron Fist. Spidey slowly lowered his finger seeing that no one paid attention to him.

"If what you said is true, then this could help us a lot." Colleen said and agreed.

Oracle brought out the nutrient pods for everyone in their respective rooms and I gave them instructions on how to use them. I handed DD a pair of sound-cancelling headset, since his powers will increase. Well, time to bring those three I guess, they have been eating my head to let them in. Playing with Terra brought Wanda out of her shell, and she said she doesn't want any other one to suffer like Terra did... her origin story changed in a weird direction now, but whatever suits her I guess. I wanted to give the best strength boosting serum to Wanda but Master warned us her powers would increase exponentially if taken, so she is practicing to perfect it.

*2 hours later*

Everyone is now testing their full capabilities. And boy were they surprised. Colleen and Iron Fist haven't changed much at all right now, but once they master chi, they will reach the others as well.

In the strength department, Luke scored the most by 82 tons, with Electra at last by 47 tons. Guess Luke really is Power Man now. In speed, Gwen takes it to 270 m/s, followed by Electra at 250 m/s. Luke is last at 80 m/s, but while Ghost Spider and Electra are more about dodging and outmaneuvering others, Luke's an unstoppable tank. He could smash Juggernaut with some training.

In extra powers, Luke's skin is even more sturdier, DD's senses have increased rapidly, Arachnid can generate a lot of bioelectricity with increased cloak time and Ghost Spider can control ice expertly. Their Spider-sense has also sharpened, kind of like my premonition. Jewel got flight, making her reach Gwen's speed while flying, but she needs a lot of practice. Though Matt denied healing his eyes, at least for now.

Everyone's powers are also just in initial stage, so can be increased with training.

About the three girls, Wanda's physical abilities are twice of a normal human, thanks to her magic training, Jean reaches a perfect 80 tons in strength and 220 m/s in speed while running. Her flight speed is reaching Mach 3. Laura can lift 150 tons, and her speed is just below Mach 2 on land. In comparison, Quicksilver's speed is somewhere around Mach 12 at his prime. So she's fast, but not speedster fast.

Huh? About me? Well, I really did never tell. My physical strength, without aura, OFA or Star Platinum is around 350 tons and speed is Mach 10. Adding Aura or OFA to the mix makes it busted, so yeah. My flight speed with Tactile Telekinesis is about Mach 25 or so, I can travel around earth in an hour or two. Me and Laura are helping the boys and girls respectively to control their strength, leaving Jean and Wanda to do patrol for us today with Oracle and my clone, just in case. People will know seeing me that those two are with the Defenders.

*2 days later*

"How can they be so careless???" Spiderman said angrily. Daredevil is sitting silently, but you could tell he was really angry. Why are they angry? Well, our big-fat egg has escaped from his cell. There are not even any signs on break out, nor anyone dead, meaning it was inside work.

"We worked hard to bring him to a cell, and he walked out right under their noses." Jewel growled, with Luke trying to calm her down.

"You look calm Enigma. Something you wanna share with us?" Nightclaw said to me, getting everyone's attention to me.

"Yes, though it's more like a question for you?" I said turning to Daredevil.

"What?" He asked raising an eyebrow. Not that I can see since his eyes on the mask are not as expressive as the Spider's.

"When we catch Fisk again, you want to lock him up again or kill him?" I asked in a serious voice. All Defenders got one thing clear, Fisk was gonna die, doesn't matter by who's hands. If DD denies then I will do it.

After thinking for a while DD asked me, but it felt more like asking for confirmation, "If I deny, you are going to do it, aren't you?"

"Yes, I only wanted to bring Fisk into the court once to let him face his charges in front of the world, letting the police force arrest as many men under him as possible. But he wasn't the drug lord of New York, but USA. I had only weeded out his dogs in New York, so he had more people drag him out. He had played with enough lives for his gains. It's time he pays for it as well." I said.

There was a brief silence after which he said, "Let me do it. I changed my mind from killing him to bringing him to court thinking everyone that has suffered should know who did it to them. That's already over and he's still free. It's time I end this." He decided.

"Anyone has objections?" I asked. I was still looking at what the spider's wanted to say. And Peter did raise his hand.

"Spiderman?" I said to let him continue, but what he said was different from what I expected.

"Can I come as well?" He asked, getting a surprised look from others.

"Are you sure?" Daredevil asked him.

"Yes, I want to be a part in it. It will take us years if we want to take down his goons over USA if we even tried, plus he was going to use Rhino and others to fight us in a crowded place if we hadn't raided him, and I'm still angry about that. So I want to see it end." He finished.

Oracle displayed Kingpin's location on the hologram, which we tracked through the Nano-tracker. I had placed a magical on as well, but no need to introduce everyone to magic this early. Finally me, DD, Spidey and Nightclaw decided to say hello to him. Kingpin's location had two other magical trackers as well, so three birds, one stone.

It took us about 4 minutes to get to him. My jet is awesome after all. Anyway he was hiding in a mansion on shore between Bridgeport and Norwalk(Connecticut). Well hidden, away from the highway. Oracle showed the mansion's layout from scan. It seems he has some guards carrying X-boosters as well. *sigh* These X-boosters are gonna be on streets more often probably, I will take countermeasures when required.

Fisk was in his office discussing a deal? I decided to wait and see, sending a nanobot in, and Oracle got to search for the guy Fisk was talking to. Fisk was apparently buying X-boosters from him.

"He's the one selling X-boosters? We can catch both of them!" Spidey said, but my frown didn't disappear.

"Oracle?" I asked her.

"He is one of Stryker's men alright. One of his best, who he had revived after Logan ran away from the Weapon-X program." She said. Laura immediately went on full alert hearing that.

"Who?" Someone Stryker revived? Now that's new.

"His name is Christoph Nord, codename, Maverick. Previous codename, Agent Zero. His abilities are Smell control, Anti-healing Factor blasts, Kinetic energy absorption and redirection, and healing Factor. His equipment shows a chip inserted in his head to negate mental attacks." She said.

Agent Zero huh, makes sense why Stryker revived him.

"He got revived? That's possible?" Spidey asked.

"Oracle, keep the recording of our fight, let others see what kind of abilities metahumans can have later. Collect all data on him, and link it to Stryker, but only hints. DD, you go after Fisk after we take out the guards. Spiderman, you handle Kraven. Nightclaw, handle Taskmaster. I would like to have a talk with Maverick." I said.

"Are you sure? He has Kinetic absorption?" Spidey asked.

"Watch and learn Spidey. You will have to face opponents many times tougher than him in future." I said, and we dropped down.

*3rd POV*

"I will make sure the next half reaches you within the next hour Mr. Nord." Fisk said coming out of the living room talking to Maverick. Both Taskmaster and Kraven are standing by him.

"I'll take your word Fisk. You are one of the main buyers, we trust you. And your men have proven quite good test subjects, coupled with the information on Defenders. Stryker is very interested in the Spider's. Their most ventured locations will prove helpful in tracking them." Nord said to him, getting a nod.

"If possible, try to catch Enigma and Daredevil as well, don't kill them though, I want them to die by my hands." Wilson said curling his fists.

"I'll see what we can do. His level of technology could prove useful." He replied back.

Walking towards the car, Nord suddenly stopped.

"Mister Nord?" Fisk asked.

"Shouldn't your patrol guards be here right now?" He asked Fisk.

Wilson narrowed his eyes and looked towards Taskmaster, "Check out wha-"

Before he could complete his sentence, the cars parked in the front exploded. One flew towards them, but they all avoided it.

"What's happening?" Fisk asked on guard.

"Debt collection, of course." A voice came from the shadows.

They all turned towards the voice to see Enigma standing over the burning car, with hands folded.

"Knock, Knock. Mr. Fisk. It's time for you to REPENT!"
