My Legendary Weapon Can Evolve Infinitely!

Our discord server: https://discord.gg/d9z3CCEXWw The past, the present, and the future will all be connected. Human society will learn how things were in the past when gods walked among men and monsters roamed freely. When Earth was finally connected to the multiverse, the entire world erupted into chaos! It was as though reality itself was contorting to accommodate countless versions of itself. Astonishingly, it began to expand, stretching its boundaries beyond imagination. At that time, Jason was recovering from the betrayal of his girlfriend cheating with her supposed best friend. He looked for solace by retreating to a serene lake for a weekend of fishing. Craving solitude to deal with his thoughts, he wanted some peace. But as soon as he stepped out of his car, the ground convulsed violently. Much to his surprise, a mysterious system had been activated, revealing portals to alternate dimensions. Suddenly, Jason found himself thrust into the depths of a dungeon, a valuable treasure chest right before him. Within that chest was the Infinite Dagger—a legendary weapon capable of infinite evolution! From a mere dagger to a formidable sword and even transforming into a bow—its potential knew no bounds! Jason was surprised at his unexpected fortune, yet he understood that obtaining such a treasure wouldn't be without risks. No, crossing this dungeon would be a stroll. He stood at its precipice, facing a boss—a towering, purple-hued Colossus that looked like it came out of a fantasy world. To add insult to injury, he would need to get rid of the boss's minions. The real question remained: How could he, at level one, defeat the dungeon's boss?

Chapter 02 - Dungeon Boss

Jason touched the dagger and he felt an otherworldly energy coming from it… he gulped since he felt that he was touching something that he shouldn't, such was the effect of the weapon.

"This is amazing. Come to think of it, that voice said that I found a dungeon and entered one… so this is my reward for being lucky…" Jason thought while looking at the dagger from many angles. "Wait a minute. Don't dungeons usually have monsters, and they don't usually have a guardian protecting their treasures?"

Jason thought what goes around comes around… he felt that he had been lucky after dumping his thot girlfriend out of self-respect, but maybe that wasn't completely true.

When he looked behind, Jason saw a tunnel, and after slowly approaching it, he could feel a dangerous aura ahead as the tunnel got larger. He began to mind his steps to make as little noise as possible, so it took a while. Still, eventually, he found a massive dome-like room ahead, and he also began to hear the breathing of something massive.

In the center of the chamber, atop an ornate stone platform, sat a colossal purple monster towering over forty feet tall. Its scaly, muscular body was a deep shade of violet, shimmering in the ambient light. The monster's eyes glowed with unsettling intensity, seemingly reflecting the depths of an abyss.

On either side of the monstrous creature, Jason saw carved stone pillars soaring high into the cavern's ceiling, adorned with engravings depicting ancient battles and mythical creatures. The throne itself was a masterpiece of craftsmanship, adorned with precious gems that sparkled like stars against the monster's form.

Jason gulped and then took several steps backward. That definitely was the dungeon boss, and he had no idea how he was going to deal with it. He had to in order to escape the dungeon, though.

"Earth has gone to hell, and I found myself in the middle of a public toilet, the most used one of such a place… my luck is definitely not good," Jason thought.

Jason wanted to know how the hell such a thing appeared in the lake and made itself feel at home in less than five minutes. He recalled what happened to the lake and the mountains, so he couldn't help but think that perhaps he wouldn't find some familiar lands once he left that place. That didn't mean that he wanted to stay there for long, though.

Jason couldn't stay there forever… maybe he should wait until the creature falls asleep… It was hard to imagine that. After a while, Jason went to check the boss's chamber. Then he saw some creatures suddenly appearing out of nowhere and heading to the exit.

The creatures had a stocky and muscular build, with a pronounced hunch to their posture. Standing around 7 feet tall, the beasts possessed a powerful and intimidating presence. Their bodies were covered in coarse and mottled blue-gray skin, giving them a rugged and weathered appearance.

Their attire consisted of tattered and patched clothing resembling makeshift armor. They wore scraps of fur and hides, emphasizing their connection to the wilderness. Around their waist, they wore a belt adorned with various trophies and bones, showcasing their triumphs in battle.

"A troll?" Auron thought, and then Absolute Appraisal was activated.

Jason nodded in satisfaction… Complete Appraisal worked. He could use the same thing on the boss, but he felt that it would be a bad idea. He didn't know how to defeat the monster yet, and once he learned its parameters, it would be harder to come up with something.

As expected, Jason regretted it. While he was smiling, all the blood had left his face. He returned to his starting point, closed the treasure box, sat at the top of it, and assumed the position of the 'Thinker'.

"Yes… I am totally dead," Jason muttered and then nodded.

A single hit of the boss would kill Jason, even if the creature didn't have a weapon… the hit probably didn't have to be a direct one to work. In any case, at least Jason had time to think about what he should do, and he had some tools, his dagger, and his fishing gear.

"Yes, it's very useful when it comes to fishing giants… very much so," Jason thought. Then he grabbed his fishing pole and checked his box with the gear. "It would have been better if I were into hunting; that way, I would have brought a shotgun or a rifle instead of a fishing pole."

His fishing tools wouldn't be that useful. Jason perhaps could use his fishing pole to draw the attention of that monster for a second, but it wouldn't work for long. The boss chamber was about four hundred meters long and wide. Before he could cross all that, the boss would find and reach him.

"I guess I should check the weapon… it can evolve after being used in combat… I suppose just swinging around won't help," Jason thought.

Jason thought of using the skill Double Slash, and as if his hand had moved by itself, he quickly slashed the air in front of him in two very fluid motions. He felt his arm getting a bit tired, and he confirmed that some SP was used to activate the skill, five points exactly.

(The Weapon Received 01 TP.)

"... I guess this works too," Jason thought and then smiled.
