Obligation

"...EHHH!!!! Are you trying to tell me that you don't just have two sisters and brothers, but one is also your twin?!" I questioned. "Sorry, I didn't tell you, but... yes, I have a twin sister, Isabella Silverman. I don't mean to be..." "I'm only surprised, not angry. You don't have to apologize for anything, Angel. You can continue now." "Oh, thank you for not being angry. I will continue now."

Right after the talk I had with both my father and mother, I walked out very sad and quite unhappy about everything happening. My elder sister Flora was the rightful ruler of the throne. I didn't know what caused it all. The only way for the throne to be passed to another was if:

1. You are unworthy.

2. You are pronounced missing by coronation day.

3. In a worst-case scenario, death befalls you.

But all these I have listed didn't happen to her. Her case was what we had only heard in the books. In her case, she did have the mark, but what was wrong was what we didn't know. Two nights ago...

We were all in the garden, all five children of the king, my mother, the Silvermen. We were having a fun time, playing around. It was fun, and both the two eldest joined us, Flora and Jasper, who were known for their privacy and their 'Alone Time'. But this time was different; they joined in the games and everything. As I said, it was fun and all, but all good things must come to an end somehow. "*Sighs* Okay, I think that's enough for now. Let me go and shower to get this mess off me," Flora said. "Okay! We would remain here if you need us for anything," Isabella replied.

"Sister Flora, sister Flora, would you like to play with us another time?" The young prince, Desmond, asked. "Don't be silly, Desmond. This is just a one-time thing. It might happen again. I loved playing with you guys, but it will probably not happen again. I need to create the right character to befit a queen. Father said, 'A queen is to be organized at all times. Less play, more work.'" Flora had lived her whole life on those very words. She missed out on meaningful things, even a fun childhood, but she didn't care because she took her right as a priority. Sometimes I just feel she can be free to play with us... But now, that is not even the case anymore, considering that she was already nineteen years of age by that time. She could make her own decisions... Well, adults rarely play with kids...

"Huh! Okay, Sister Flora. Good night," Desmond was not happy. Since he was the youngest, he was already destined to little time with his eldest sister. "Oh okay, I will be off too," Jasper declared openly. "Why?!! Play with us more, Prince Jasper," I insisted. "I can't. You know I prefer training at night." "Oh! Right, can't I come to train with you?!" "ANGELA!! You wanna leave us too?!" Isabella put a furious question too, Isabella looked exactly like me but that didn't last really long because as to differentiate between us, they had to dye her hair which gave her a more crimson red and mine was the pure red, we both have emerald sparkling eyes. "No! It's not like I want to, but everyone knows I have always wanted to be the strongest royal mage ever!" "Not if I beat you to it first," she replied. "Don't get in my way, guys. Unlike you guys, I already should fulfill my obligations as the first son." "We promise not to get in your way, Sir. Jasper *Giggles*" I and Isabella said in harmony. As a knight of the kingdom, he is referred to as Sir then Prince or one of each. First daughter to the throne as the first Son is to prime knight. That's how it's has been longer than my fore fathers could even remember.

Prince Desmond just watched us, looking sad. We forgot about him for a while. How foolish of us. "Don't just stay there, Desmond. Don't you want to be my rival?!" Prince Jasper hinted to him to speak up for himself. "Ooh! Pardon me, ladies and gentlemen. Clear parts as of now. Prince Desmond will train to defeat you, weaklings," he said with so much pride. We laughed, and we went to the Royal Training room.

Prince Jasper was just two years younger than Flora, the same with I and Isabella for him. Prince Desmond was ten at that very time. Only Prince Jasper and Princess Flora had chosen their paths. But I, Isabella, and Desmond were yet to be seventeen, so we used one of our Roy attributes. A royal attribute is a spell, ability or skill granted to the royal blood. One was the ability that grants an exception to royal children in which they could wield what we call 'Stealth Ki'. I will get an in-depth explanation of that later, but for now, let me continue.

We trained for minutes, and everything was fine until it happened, the mystery question behind everything that happened that very night is unknown. (SCREAMS!) We heard screams from inside the Castle. It seemed like the person was terrified, so we rushed in quickly. We met our parents on the way, guards forwarding too. "What's going on?!" They asked. "That's what we are about to find out too, your Highnesses," Prince Jasper replied.

"Where's Princess Flora?!" Queen Aurora asked. "She went inside to get her bath, Your Highness." "Hmmm, that means she's either with the person who screamed or the person who screamed. Hurry before your sister gets hurt. Go help her out!! Desmond, come with me," she ordered. "Yes! Your Highness," he replied. "Mother, you called me, why?!" Desmond asked. "This is not a time for questioning, my dear son. Callista, keep him safe till we find out what's going on and subside it." "Yes, Your Majesty." "But, Mother?! I want to fight too." Before the Queen could reply, swift Callista had taken him away.

To cut everything short, Queen Aurora ordered the remaining Guards to stay put and guard the exterior of the castle. Prince Jasper had already taken two with him. I, Isabella, and the Royal couples joined them inside. We heard glass shattering, and we even rushed more. All sounds led us to Princess Flora's room, which we entered. "It's okay, Flora," we found Prince Jasper trying to console Princess Flora. "No!!! It's not OKAY!!" she yelled.

"What's going on here?!" Father asked. "It's gone, Dad!!! IT'S GONE!! *sobs*" She replied. "What's gone, Flora? Who attacked you?" Queen Aurora inquired. She stood up and turned her back... *Gasps!* To our greatest surprise, there was nothing there, not even a scratch, but that was not the case. It was truly gone. Her IMPERIAL MOKO had vanished.
