Journey to home

They had brought a carriage with them and her frail body was placed inside the buggy. One of the brothers had carried her.

She didn't wish to live through this embarrassment. She would rather die. She knew she was damaged now and nobody would want her.

So, she just closed her eyes and lay there. Nobody talked. Only the sound of horse galloping could be heard.

And when she opened her eyes, she could see that she was in the neighbourhood. She knew she could not show her face to anyone. So, she scrambled to sit up and pulled on the sleeves of one of the brothers nearest to her, her eyes pleading.

'Please, don't take me there' she mouthed to the brother.

"Don't worry, your parents will be happy to get you back." he replied

"No, they won't... they won't want to" she crocked. And with that, she tried to materialise in a different location, far from her approaching home. But it wasn't possible with her ever fading energy. She didn't make it far.

When she materialised, she dropped to her knees and flopped face first into the mud.

The brothers quickly found her and soon she was picked up from the mud.

"You don't have to run away. Your family will accept you." The kindhearted brother reassured her

"No, you don't understand... I'm carrying his child" That made their face falter. And they checked to see if the baby was alright from her fall before picking her up and heading for the carriage.

"Do not put this on my family to deal with me" she begged "They won't be able to accept it"

"We will see when we reach the Garyols"

"Don't take me there..." she weakly got out even though they continued to carry her back to the buggy.

Robert did not know what to make of the female. She was not in great condition. But she also refused to eat or drink. Moreover, she was not concerned about the health of the child she bore. He remembered what she said when they rescued her.

'She did not wish to live' he thought. He felt pity for the female. He hoped the family would accept her and help her heal. But he was not so sure. He wanted to send Tehan before him to inform her family beforehand. But something was holding him back.

'Anything could happen on the way he thought. They had just rescued the female. He did not know if the werewolf had company. It would be bad if they got attacked midway without any backup.

Then he would have to deal with them himself. Though he was a capable man and dealt with many adversaries, the female would be left unprotected so he didn't send Tehran away. Only if he could contact the brotherhood.

The carriage stopped before the house and the female closed her eyes tight shut as if she wanted to shut the reality out.

Robert got out and rang the bell and waited. Shortly after, a butler opened the door and ushered him inside before firmly closing the door.

Anais knew what her family's decision will be even before Robert came back out the door. It was in the hunch of his shoulders and the look in his eyes when he finally set his eyes on Anais. He shook his head.

It was a few months later. Exactly three months. Anais was eating again. It was for the child's benefit of course. She decided to keep the baby. Yet she had no desire to live. The brother whom she came to know as Robert had set her up in his brother's home.

Even though it wasn't right for her to live with a bachelor, she wasn't a woman with that much dignity left either. It was a small hut in an indiscreet village.

There wasn't much to it. Three small rooms and a kitchen were all it had. Anais was given one of the rooms in the back and Robert's brother, Karmit occupied the opposite room. The third room in the front remained empty.

The hut had beds in all three rooms indicating that more people lived there once upon a time. The back rooms both had a chest, a table and a chair each. The front room remained devoid of any furniture except the bed.

As she huddled in the corner of the small hut with the work of a seamstress; a needle with thread going in and out of the clothing, she found herself thinking back about the course her life took.

She was a seamstress now. She did not look like the princess she once used to be. But this life was much more freeing. She didn't have to get into those fluffy gowns and look for a husband.

She had requested those two brothers who rescued her that she did not want anybody to know where she lived and the brothers complied.

Her family wanted her to remain missing for however long she lived and she was not allowed to meet any of them.

She wished to take revenge. All she felt was anger. The main culprit who ordered her assault was already dead. She was upset that it wasn't her who killed the bastard. She would give him tenfold of what he gave her.

She did not cry anymore. She was hardened due to the pain she endured. Now, what fueled her most was her hatred and lust for revenge. There were still more culprits alive who were probably having the fun of her life while she wasted away day by day.

She needed the brotherhood's help for it. She made another request. To let her know if any one of them was caught.

She will find them and end them. The day will come.

But now she was pregnant so her revenge needed to wait. She did not know who the father of the child was nor did she cares to know. 'If he was not dead yet, he will be', she promised herself.

But her concern was that she did not understand what her child was going to be. She felt no affection for it although she had wanted a child of her own in the past. But how things had changed.

If it was a soul eater then it needed to die. But if it was a soulless, it still needed to die.

The perspective of others have been used to show how much Anais is out of touch with reality. It signifies her withdrawal and how much she is not in control. Yikes
