Scarlett glanced at him, "Let's get you washed. I'll help you to the bathroom."
Asher, very weak, lay motionless on the bed. "But my whole body hurts. Moving even a little is painful. How am I supposed to wash my tail?"
Scarlett was puzzled. "Didn't you help me wipe down last night? Just help me take a bath now, or I'll be uncomfortable when I fall asleep." Asher's eyes were clear as he spoke, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
They had already done everything they needed to do together, so it wasn't a big deal. Plus, given Asher's current state, Scarlett nodded, lifted the quilt, and got out of bed. "I'll go run the water first."
"I'll come with you," Asher said, sitting up.
Scarlett reached out to help him. After a moment's hesitation, Asher let her support him to the bathroom.
