Chapter 46 Beach

Rexon was gone, but I still stayed where I was. What am I going to do here when my work is done?

I was about to turn around to go back to the couch when the doorbell rang. I went back to the door and opened it.

I rolled my eyes, thinking it was Rexon.

“Hi!” Devon smiled broadly at me.

I didn’t catch it right away because he looks different tonight. He’s not wearing his uniform that I always see. I couldn’t help but stare at him.

He’s wearing a printed white T-shirt and jeans. He was also not wearing a hat, so his face almost shines in front of me.

“Ah, I would like to invite you out?” Shame seemed to precede because his gaze immediately turned in another direction after saying that.

I couldn’t help but smile and opened the door wide. It’s okay to entertain others if all I see here is friendship. I’m single anyway. After all, this is what Rex wants—for me to do what I want.

“Come in first. I’ll just get dressed for a while.”
