Chapter 2 The President and Practice Robots

Being a UA student wasn't as exciting and challenging as i thought it would be.

It was just a normal highschool with the afternoon hours focused on heroes duty and this and that.

There were no actual combat class and its been a week now, i wonder when will our costumes were gonna be used.

Amongs the class B students, one girl particularly stands out.

Our class president, Keiko Kazumi.

Calm, collected and particularly quiet.

She has the highest score amongs the class and came from a well disciplined and rich family.

"Hayamato-kun!! I heard you sneaked out with that trouble maker Taichi from class A.

Do you have anything to say for yourself?"

"Uhh... "

"Your grades may not be bad , but if you act like this you will ruin the reputation of our class, you need to cease you irresponsible actions at once!!"

"Sigh... You worry too much about the class, just because your the president doesn't mean you have to baby sit us"

"How can you say such a thing!

As the class president its my duty to up-held out class name!!

And if you act so irresponsibly how are you gonna move up to class A and become a hero!!"

"Ugh!! ya ya ya !! your annoying! your not my mother "

Whats with her, does she have to it so seriously?

The afternoon , Taichi and i are having lunch on the cafeteria.

Taichi was talking about a lot of things, but than i thought, doesn't Taichi have any friends before i got here?

I never see him talk to any other students other than me.

Our class President came along and stops at our feets and gave us a death stare.

"Taichi Yoshito , Rin Hayamato. About you guys sneaking out-"

"Ahhh! Not again.

I dont want more lecture " Taichi said annoyingly.

"Then be more responsible!

Your in class A, act like your age a bit"

Hmm.. maybe never saw him talk to any other students other than me and the class president.

She went on and scold us like kids infront of the whole cafeteria.

It was a bit embarrassing but neither of them doesn't even noticed.

After lunch, we returned to class, the president still giving me a dead stare.

"Sigh.. give me a break."

Mokoto sensei entered the class and we greeted.

" Okay, for the afternoon we will have practical class.

So go get your gym uniforms and meet me at the stadium in ten minutes!"

Sensei then left us.

The whole class was excited!

For a while we've been taking boring normal classes ,

we all went in a hurry to the locker room to change.

The guys were shouting in excitement, not gonna lie, i kind of want to join them.

We arrived at the stadium it was a huge hall with enforced wall celling and floors, it was clearly made so that students could use their quirk without having to worry about damaging the environment.

MOKOTO BLOWS A WHISTLE TAKING THE ATTENTION OF ALL STUDENTS.

" This afternoon class will be the first practical class we have this month, and you will have to fight UA's exclusive combat robots."

A teacher walks in with numbers of robots followed.

" This will be a test to see your combat abilities.

Each robot will attack your with their arm that are covered with soft covers but with enough force to knock you out.

You have to either break, or hit the three switches that are placed on various parts of them."

The robots upper body is a bit humanoid with large arms and their lower body runs on small tires.

They don't look that dangerous though.

"If the robot knocks you out or you can't continue to fight! you fail the test!"

Mokoto sensei seems to be telling us to be cautious, are they really dangerous?

After the instructions were given by Mokoto sensei, she calls upon the class president to go first.

Good luck mom, heh.

I don't know any of my classmates quirk, so this is a good chance for me to observe them.

One of the robot moves to the middle of the hall, it seemed to be controlled by the teacher who is holding a kind of tablet.

But i suspect the robot to be kind of automatic.

The president walks to the middle infront of the robot.

Mokoto sensei blew her whistle and the fight starts.

Upon hearing the whistle , the president closes her eyes and hold her hands forward.

From her palm , a sword starts to materialize.

The sword was not like any kind used by soldiers.

Its size was bigger than a katana and seem to be of the same size as a kendo sword.

It had a wierd design and shape which doesn't seem to be any use in combat , im guessing the design should signify something but I don't have any idea.

The president wield the sword like a kendo sword just as i thought.

The robot came at high speed towards her, its arm was aimed to deliver a punch.

As it reach close to the president, she amazingly land the first strike on its head, but the strike was nothing special.

There was not even a scratch on the robot's head.

The sword was propably made of some sort of metal, the way she wield seemed to be pretty light as if it was a stick, but the damage it dealt was weak.

Thats propably the reason she was in class B.

I heard in the entrance exam, the students had to face multiple robots to earn the most points.

With her quirk she wouldn't be able to deal much damage to those robots, and therefore ended up in class B.

THE ROBOT AFTER MISSING IT'S PUNCH THROWS ANOTHER AT AN INSTANT.

THE CLASS PRESIDENT COULD BARELY BLOCK IT IN TIME WITH HER SWORD AND KNOCKS HER OUT OF BALANCE BUT QUICKLY RECOVERS.

"If you can't harm it , disable it with the buttons" Says Mokoto sensei.

The president looks a bit annoyed, im guessing the reason was that she couldn't hit hard enough.

The robot charge again a second time, this time she parries it's punch and turns her body, moving to the side of it.

She quickly pressed a button below the arm and jumped back perfectly missing the swing of the robot.

After the swing she uses her sword to press another button on it's torso, leaving only one at its face.

The robot spun its arms and charged at her. With the spinning arms its impossible for the president to get close and hit the final button.

The president took a deep breath and charge at the robot.

" Is she an idiot!"

Before getting too close , the president jams hew sword at its wheels and slides below it's rotating arms.

The robot trips and fell, it's arms hit the ground and stopped, the president came up and pressed the botton passing the test.

With an unfazed look and no disturbance in her breathing she comes back and someone handed her a wet towel.

" Nicely done prez"

"Thanks"

"Hey about your quirk"

"Hmm? what about it?"

"What does it do? Is there anything special about it?"

"No"

*Poker face*

"Well.... i don't quite know how to use my quirk.

The sword doesn't follow the gravitational law and it is completely weightless to me.

I should be able to increase its gravitational pull even way more than our planed in the direction that im swinging it, while still being weightless to me.

But, i don't know, I don't know how to do it."

"So you can't use you quirk to it's full extend huh?" Iike me

"Yeah thats about it.... for now".

It was time for the next student

Sensei called another student and a new robot came.

The guy's skin was wierd, a mutation quirk i pressume, he had scally skins through out his body which was the same colour as a human skin.

As the whistle blows the new robot rush and throws a punch.

The student bows down dodging it, but the robot twists it's body and suddenly hugs the student with its two arms.

The guy was incapable of moving at all.

When i though it was over for him, he takes an anormally deep breath with his mouth, long and hard.

The guy than spits an intense fire on the robot's head.

The heat was so much that it was becoming unbearable for us at the sides

The fire melts the robot and burns its whole interior and collapse.

Thats a powerful quirk, i kinds wanna fight him right away!

"Hey, whats wrong with you there's a creepy grin on your face" Says the president.

"Huh? oh sorry, wait wierd? thats kind of rude!

Anyways who's that guy, how does his quirk works, doesn't it burn him too?"

" His name is Akihiro Nemura, his quirk, well... he calls it the fire dragon quirk.

His quirk doesn't only change his skin and give him ability to breathe fire, his whole body even the inside and his hair is transformed so that he can tolerate massive heat.

Even though he can stay unharmed under massive heat, he needs to stay in atleast a moderate temperature and is unable to move properly in cold weather, being in a temperature below 10 degree celcius can be lethal to him."

" I see, thanks for the info."

"Sure but wipe that disgusting grin "

"Hey... ouch, i was just excited okay"

"Why are you so excited about learning others quirk?"

"I wanna fight them!

I like strong opponents that i can go all out with.

Im here to be the number hero in rank! and even top Almight!"

"Heh"

"Whats so funny, and why are you here?"

"Nothing really, and im hear for the same reason as you too, i wanna be the strongest..."

It will be hard with that imperfect quirk though...

"Then why did you laugh?"

"Oh its nothing , just forget it"

Next was another guy who doesn't look very confident.

As the whistle blows, the robot like the others, start running to him and swing his arms from the right.

The guy looks like he tried to block with his hands, but a blue-ish transparent circular surface appeared and blocks the swing.

He just quickly decided to press the button on the robot without thinking at all.

As he reaches out for the button, the robot launces a punch on him, he couldn't block it anymore and got hit on his chest which threw him a few feet back.

Mokoto sensei blew her whistle and quickly rush to his aid followed by the president .

Sensei told some other students to take him to the infirmary.

Sensei and the president returned to their seats.

"A shield huh? How's the guy?"

"Yes , he can form a shield at any open space.

The shield is incredibly durable.

His name is Eiji Shima.

He is good in studies but he lacks confidence in physical stuff.

It doesn't look like anything serious, no bones seems to be broken.

He'll be fine."

I wonder if i can punch through his shield.

Some other students went through the test, some passed and some were knocked out.

And for some reason the President knew all their names and quirk in detail.

Than finally it was my turn.

"Hayamoto-kun , your next" Yelled Mokoto sensei but cames to me.

" Hayamoto-kun, i know this is your first time but, there is no time for going through the basic.

Your gonna have to learn from experience"

"Its ok sensei, im used to fighting"

" Did you just tell your teacher you use to fight?" Adds the president.

"Opps"

" Okay get in position and concentrate on the robot only" Sensei then walks back to her place "

Ahh finally i get to enjoy myself a bit...

"Good Luck!"

"Heh, luck? I don't need it."

RIN WALKS INTO THE CENTRE

"Yeah that grin is totally creepy"

AS THE ROBOT AND RIN FACES EACH OTHER.

MOKOTO SENSEI BLOW HER WHISTLE AND THE MATCH BEGINS.

RIN WALKS TOWARDS THE ROBOT IN A CASUAL SPEED WHILE HE USES HIS QUIRK

HIS HANDS TURNS INTO A DEMONIC HAND UP TO HIS ELBOWS.

A FEW FEET AWAY FROM THE ROBOT APPROACHIG WHILE AIMING ITS HAND

RIN LEAPS INFRONT OF THE ROBOT AND CATCHES ITS ATTACKING ARM

BEFORE THE ROBOT COULD USE ITS OTHER ARM, RIN HITS IT WITH A POWERFUL PUNCH AT IT'S CHEST, DETACHING THE ARM ON RIN'S HAND AND FALLING TO THE GROUND

RIN SITS ON THE ROBOT AND SMASHES ITS HEAD WITH A FEW PUNCHES

HE STOOD UP AND EXHALES SLOWLY

"That felt good ..."

EVERYONE WAS SHOCKED AT HOW RIN DESTROYED THE ROBOT IN A CRUEL MANNER

"HAYAMATO.... Are you really planning on being a hero?" Mokoto sensei whispers to herself
