chapter 8 - the promise
10 April 2000
The song mansion.
Li ao, Li min, Ci en and cheng Dong reach home.
"Cheng Dong, get down the car slowly." Ci en said.
Cheng Dong quickly pulls Li Ao out of the car to his room.
Cheng Dong room.
"Wow! Your room so spacious and lots of musical instruments!" Li ao said loudly.
"Quickly give me michelle address and contact number!" Cheng Dong said loudly.
"Oh..oh, sorry to say I lost the details already. Cheng dong, why not you look for other gals instead of michelle?" Li ao asked.
"Did you bluff me?! You don't have any of her details at all! You bluff me!" Cheng dong shouted loudly.
Cheng dong angrily pushed the things in his room.
"All of you are bluffing me! Since you don't give me, I will find it by myself!" Cheng dong cried and said.
He kneel down and start begging Li ao…..
"Please, please! Please give me her details! I know you don't like me! I can do anything to please you if you give me her details!" Cheng dong cried and beg Li ao non stop.
Li min and ci en heard their shouting from downstairs, immediately ran upstairs to check.
"Ao! Why are you doing this to your cousin!? You know he love this girl like crazy!? Why are you doing this to him!? He just recovered!" Li min asked angrily.
"Mum! If I give the details to him, he will regret for his whole life!" Li ao shouted back.
"What regret?" Ci en asked.
"He can't be together with that girl! I overheard what you all said last night. The one who killed my uncle is michelle's parents! Cheng dong! Listen to me, you won't be happy together with her! She is a play girl! Lots of guys like her! You are just one of it! It's not worth!" Li ao replied loudly.
"Your uncle have nothing to do with me!" Cheng Dong shouted back.
"Dong! His uncle is your father! Your mother is my sister! You cannot be together with that evil woman's daughter!" Ci en angrily said slaps cheng Dong face.
Cheng Dong cried badly, grabbing his head…
"My…my parents were killed by her parents!? Hahaha! I don't believe! It can't be! " Cheng Dong pushed them away and ran out of the room.
He locks himself in the storeroom near the kitchen. He pushes a metal small cupboard towards the door.
"It can't be! It cannot be! All of you are liars!!!" Cheng Dong cried and shouted.
Ci en calls jiale ...
"Doctor Gu, my..my son, cheng Dong he locks himself in the storeroom. We try to open the door, but I think he used something to block the door. He is crying badly. I worried he will do something foolish." Ci en said worriedly.
"I will immediately come over!" Jiale replied.
Li min and Li ao heard the crying get louder. They also heard cheng Dong throwing things in the storeroom.
"Ao! Quickly! Try to bang the door! I scared he will do something foolish!" Li min said anxiously.
Li ao asked the servants to get axe to try to break the wooden door.
Cheng dong cried till he is gasping for breath. His arms were cut by the shattered glasses. His blood rubs against his face, causing a scary bloody look on his pale white face.
Li ao managed to break open the wooden door.
"What the?! Cheng Dong! Why do you do this to yourself?!" Li ao asked shockingly.
"I want her details! If not I die let you see!"
Cheng Dong shouted, holding a piece of glass about to cut his wrist.
"Dong! Don't do anything foolish! My son will give you her details." Li min said loudly.
"I..I want it now!" Cheng dong replied loudly.
At this moment, jiale and ci en rushed in.
"Dong! Listen to me. Take the glass away. You want to go Shanghai right? I immediately arrange for you." Jiale asked.
"Yes! I want to go Shanghai! " Cheng dong replied.
Cheng dong drops the glass pane and jiale hits him on his neck and he fainted.
"Send him to the mental hospital for this while. He could be under depression." Jiale said.
The ambulance sent cheng Dong to the mental institution at castle peak hospital.
Castle peak hospital.
Doctor office.
"Doctor Wu, song cheng Dong just finished the full course of radiotherapy and cancer treatments. He is not suitable to do those mental electro tests. We sent him in is because he is suicidal." Jiale said.
"We understand. We will still have to evaluate his condition. Some tests are still unavoidable. Hope Doctor gu and mdm song understand the situation." Doctor Wu replied.
In the ward.
Cheng Dong was tight onto the bed with cuffs.
Ci en and Li ao saw him struggling outside of the ward and cried.
"Aunty, shall we just give him Michelle details ? But her family isn't that easy to handle." Li ao asked.
"If possible try not to give him. It's only for his own good." Ci en replied sadly.
Jiale walks over.
"Why not just give it to him?" Jiale asked.
Li ao angrily hit him and pull his jacket.
"Gu jiale! Do you know what you are saying!? Do you know who is the Chen family in Shanghai?! Do you know it's her parents who kidnapped and killed his both parents?! Do you want history to repeat again?!" Li ao asked loudly with anger.
Jiale kept silent.
"But…but I can't bear to see this happening to him." Ci en cried and said.
Left with no choice, Li Ao walks towards cheng Dong and passes him the piece of paper.
Few days later, Cheng Dong was discharged from the hospital.
15 April 2000.
Dark skies
I finally gotten Michelle address from Li Ao. I know this is a big mistake I took. But I fell very deep into the hole. The hole of Michelle's heart and I couldn't get out of it anymore.
I need to see her! I must see her no matter what it takes! No one can stop me!
A trip to Shanghai caused my whole life and fate to change forever.
