Why Didn't You Tell Me?

After giving it much thought, Feng Xiaoli decided to enter the car.

After 30 minutes, they arrived at Rongyao garden. It was owned by the Xie family. It was the most prestigious garden in D city. It was decorated with tons of magnificent flowers arranged in rows, it had a waterfall which added to the beauty of the garden.

It was indeed a sight for sore eyes. This was the first time Feng Xiaoli had actually set foot in this garden. She had heard of it and all its glory but had never even seen it.

She had dreamed that one day, she would walk hand in hand with Xie Jian. It would be just the two of them, hugging and kissing each other passionately without any of them trying to let go.

At the time, she felt giddy at the thought of it but now, she didn't have the space in her head to think about such things.

Feng Xiaoli came down from the car and was directed towards the pavilion.

In the pavilion, Xie Jian raised up his eyes and saw Feng Xiaoli walking towards him. The white dress seemed to be a perfect fit for her and her pregnancy wasn't that obvious.

As she got closer to him, Feng Xiaoli's anxiety became rapid. She stopped in front of him as she lowered her lashes, avoiding his beautiful eyes. Xie Jian eyes fell all over her face. He couldn't deny the fact that he got married to a beautiful woman, his heart wouldn't let him do so.

Feeling his gaze, Feng Xiaoli's heart dropped as her uneasiness reached the highest peak.

Xie Jian pulled out a chair for her as a gentleman would. Feng Xiaoli sat down and dropped the tiny purse she was holding on her lap. Instead of sitting down opposite her, Xie Jian drew out a chair and sat besides her. Feng Xiaoli started feeling uncomfortable by his sudden action. Xie Jian signalled the waiter and the waitress who were standing far away from them to serve the food.

After the food was served, Feng Xiaoli quickly picked up her chopsticks to eat but someone was much faster than her. Xie Jian hastily picked up his chopsticks, dipped it into her bowl and brought it towards her mouth.

Feng Xiaoli was a bit startled so she raised up her eyes and looked at Xie Jian. He seemed normal even though this was the first time he was showing this kind of gesture to her.

"open your mouth" Xie Jian said as he looked at her. Her beautiful and sparkling eyes surrounded by confusion looked at him. Feng Xiaoli's body moved back a little when she saw Xie Jian's smile. Xie Jian put down tge chopsticks and looked at her.

"Are you that scared of me?" Xie Jian asked. Even though he knew that she was in love with him, he never understood the reason why she would not speak to him. She never told him anything, she never asked him for anything.

"No" Feng Xiaoli asked calmly as she looked away. If she was scared?. Who wouldn't be scared of a monster ?, but she couldn't tell him that. Xie Jian took the food once again and brought it towards her mouth.

"Eat....before the food gets cold...." Xie Jian said as he watched her open her mouth. Feng Xiaoli chewed the food slowly as her eyes roamed the pavilion. The beautiful lights hanging from the ceiling brightened the room, also making it look warm. Feng Xiaoli turned her head towards every direction. Xie Jian who was holding the chopsticks watched her she looked at everywhere.

"Xiaoli eat your food...it's going to get cold". Xie Jian said.

Feng Xiaoli turned to him and saw the chopsticks he was holding. Feng Xiaoli quickly turned to him and ate. She didn't move around again until the food was finished.

"Won't you eat?" Feng Xiaoli asked when she noticed that he had been feeding her all through without eating. Xie Jian looked at her a bit shocked. His eyes seemed to have given her a soft gaze which seemed to have frightened her a bit.

"Hmm....I'll eat only if you feed me" Xie Jian said as he placed the chopsticks in her hand. Feng Xiaoli glanced at him and put the chopstick in the bowl. Her hands were shaking slightly as she brought it towards his mouth.

Seeing her shaking hands, Xie Jian held her hands as he ate the food. He chewed slowly as he caressed her hands gently. His eyes fell on her soft and smooth hands. He took the chopsticks from her and placed it down and looked at her face. The lights in the pavilion fell on her face making her look beautiful and warm.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Xie Jian asked as his face darkened. Feng Xiaoli looked at him.

"Tell you what?" Feng Xiaoli asked looking confused. Xie Jian was silent before he continued.

"Are you just playing dumb with me or you're still trying to hide it from me?"
