RESCUE OPERATION PT2

With the plan in motion, Ophelia, disguised as Dr. Andrews, and Mystique, disguised as a guard, set out to infiltrate the AMO base. Their primary objective was to create chaos from within, diverting the attention of the guards and providing an opportunity for the rest of the team to execute their rescue operation.

As they made their way through the facility, Ophelia kept a watchful eye on the layout, ensuring they followed the most efficient route to reach the cells where the test subjects were held. She knew time was of the essence, and every second counted.

Their disguises allowed them to blend in seamlessly among the guards, ensuring that no suspicion was raised. Ophelia's first priority was to locate and free Jessica Jones. With her help, they will have an easier time.

Mystique, always adaptable and quick-thinking, used her shapeshifting abilities to cause distractions and confusion among the guards. She created illusions, mimicking the appearance of multiple guards, causing chaos and disarray in the base's security ranks.

Meanwhile, Kitty Pryde followed Ophelia's provided layout information and headed towards the security wing. Her task was to disable the cameras and robots guarding each cell, ensuring that the rescue operation could proceed undetected.

As Kitty phased through walls, she reached the security wing and swiftly located the control room. Using her technical expertise, she accessed the main security system and began systematically disabling the cameras and deactivating the robots one by one. Her skills and knowledge proved essential in neutralizing the facility's surveillance and defense systems.

Back in the chaos created by Ophelia and Mystique, guards were scrambling to contain the situation. The base was in disarray, with false alarms going off, communication systems disrupted, and guards occupied with illusions and false leads. This diversion allowed the rest of the team to move forward with their rescue operation undetected.

As the cameras and robots guarding the cells went offline, Blink and Cynthia, positioned at the designated exit point, prepared to create portals to extract the captives. They coordinated their efforts, ensuring the portals were stable and strategically positioned to facilitate a swift and smooth extraction.

Ophelia, guided by her knowledge of the layout and Jessica Jones' location, navigated through the chaos. She found herself standing in front of the cell where Jessica was held captive. Using her device, she swiftly bypassed the security measures, unlocking the cell door and setting Jessica free.

Outside, Storm summoned a thunderstorm and took out the generator and power supply, creating a complete blackout. While Erik used his ability to shake the building, creating a fake earthquake.

In the midst of the blackout caused by Storm's manipulation of the power supply, the team's communication temporarily faltered.

Professor X and Jean cleared out most of the civilians from the area, while Nightcrawler transferred the patients to the nearby hospital.

As the team executed their plan with precision and coordination, a sudden alarm blared throughout the facility. The base's emergency systems activated, illuminating the hallways with flashing red lights. The chaos and diversion had caught the attention of AMO's higher-level executives, who were now on high alert. The robots started to come back online.

Luckily, thanks to Cynthia's and Blink's ability, they have successfully rescued the test subjects. Well, mostly thanks to Cynthia's magic portal. She opened over 70 portals alone and rescued them all while Blink' rescued the rest.

However, there was a room in which neither Cynthia nor Blink could enter.

Inside the cell block, Ophelia and Jessica exchanged a glance. With the back up security up, all the turrets, robots and the traps activated.

"Damn it!" Jessica grumbled in anger, "Let's break these bastards to pieces."

A pink portal opened inside the cell and Blink appeared.

Blink's arrival through a portal caught Ophelia and Jessica by surprise. She scanned the room quickly, taking in the activated security systems and the imminent danger they faced.

"Come on, quick!" Blink yelled.

Ophelia and Jessica went into the portal along with Blink, only to find themselves reappearing inside that same cell block.

"What the?!" Blink looked confused.

As Ophelia, Jessica, and Blink reappeared inside the same cell block, they were met with confusion and frustration. The room remained heavily fortified, with activated security systems ready to attack at a moment's notice. It seemed their escape had been foiled, and they found themselves back where they started.

Blink furrowed her brow, her mind racing to find an explanation. "I don't understand. My portals should have taken us out of this room. There must be something interfering with my powers."

Ophelia glanced around, her eyes narrowing as she took in the fortified surroundings. "It appears that AMO has anticipated our escape attempts. They've reinforced the security in this area, making it nearly impenetrable. Must be some new anti-mutant devices..."

Blink's communication device blinked, "Yes, Professor."

["Blink, everyone is out, where are you guys? My telepathy seems to be blocked by something. I can not see what's going on inside."]> Professor X inquired.

Blink pressed a button on her communication device to respond to Professor X. "Professor, we've encountered a setback. We've managed to rescue the test subjects, but we're trapped in the same cell block. There's some sort of interference blocking my portals, and it seems to be affecting your telepathy as well."

Professor X's voice came through the device, filled with concern. ["Can you get out of there?"]

Blink looked at Ophelia and Jessica.

"It's alright, three of us are enough to rip through these tin cans," Ophelia said with a reassuring smile.

"ARGGG!!!" Jessica's super powered punched smashed the wall away, "Nice. My powers are back."

"You heard them, Professor, we will be fine," Blink replied.

"You, a Pink Lantern?!" Jessica asked.

Ophelia gave Jessica a knowing smile, "Let's go..."

As they reached the giant blast door, they were greeted by two giant grotesque abomination of human and machine.
