As Zoe settled on the jet, she saw Dylan take his place in the captain’s chair. She couldn’t help but feel nervous while also excited at the same time.
The only other people on the jet were the co-captain Marcia, and that older gentleman she had met, Mr. Jacob Davis.
She could sense that there was some attraction between Marcia and Jacob, although it was clear that Jacob was a fair bit older than Marcia. They had been exchanging looks since they boarded.
She knew the jet had finally taken off into the air. Dylan had still not told her where they were headed, but she hoped it was somewhere warm.
People always thought she was weird for wanting to visit warm places in the summer and not in the winter. But she wasn’t weird, she just didn’t like the idea of having to bundle up in heavy clothes while on the way to the airport and then dressing down after arriving at wherever she was going.
