Chapter 5: Listening to a voice.

Neither Ana nor Nepheli managed to find William after searching for so long on the dock, many other people were also looking for their relatives so their voices ended up getting lost in the crowd.

In the central part, just a few minutes from the square, two people were fighting against an aberration.

It was a burly man dressed in light armor from head to toe, just behind him was another thin man, this one was not wearing armor instead he was wearing a black cloak that covered him from head to toe.

They were a wizard and a warrior; from the insignia they wore on their chests you could tell that they were in the second grade at least.

-RUM! WHERE ARE THE OTHERS?! – asked the burly man who was carrying out an exchange of blows against the aberration.

The man named Ron who occasionally supported the warrior with healing and support spells, from one of his pockets took out a small digital watch, pressing on the screen the man named Ron spoke.

- Here Ron speaks, if anyone listens to me, I need support in the square, near the parking lot, the aberration we are facing turned out to be stronger than normal, we fear that his strength will be equal to a grade 3 once he enters his second phase! –

Ron waited a few seconds, however, no one answered, making the man nervous.

The warrior frowned as he dodged the barrage of blows of the aberration, despite being quite slow, Alek was sure that a single blow would leave him in a bad situation, with no other option he shouted at Ron again.

Ron nodded and quickly headed in the direction of the parking lot, although he was reluctant at the idea of leaving his partner alone, he knew very well that it wouldn't make a huge difference, aberrations were inherently resistant to magic, so his attacks caused little to no damage.

Seeing his companion retreat, the man continued to dodge the attacks of the aberration and although there were many opportunities to attack, he did not do so at all, an aberration as it was wounded gained greater strength, that is why reinforcements were necessary.

Upon entering the parking lot, Ron stopped in front of the entrance, a few meters from him there was a charred body without a head.

Taking a closer look, it was an aberration, the impressive thing is that there was nothing to indicate marks of a fight so the aberration was killed instantly and investigating a little more, near the aberration were remains of broken glass, perhaps from a car.

- What monster would be able to kill this thing? Maybe someone in the third or fourth grade? –

Whatever the cause of death of the aberration, for Ron it was one less nuisance, so putting aside his investigation, he continued on his way until he came out the other side of the parking lot.

The scene he saw just as he left him frozen, 8 aberrations were lying on the ground, all killed in the same way, an attack that destroyed their heads and a large part of their chests.

- Shit, is there really someone that strong? –

Small explosions could be heard in the distance, but these were not coming from Alek's direction but from somewhere else, he was probably a few blocks away from Ron, so he ran as fast as he could, casting spells on himself that improved his speed and stamina.

Several people who were fighting against an aberration decisively moved away a few meters away.

The creature began to swell causing its once slender body to become robust, the claws of its hands detached and bones came out of its hands that took the form of sharp blades.

- Well, it's human-type, those who have fire and poison-type abilities get ready –

Everyone nodded in unison and began to approach the creature from different angles so that the aberration would have no chance to fight back.

The creature roared and as if it were a skilled swordsman approached one of the warriors who were coming for him and launched a quick attack, barely perceptible to the human eye, as for the warrior, despite being taken by surprise, he was able to react in time, however, he did not try to block, instead he dodged the creature's attack and took position to throw a blow at the creature in the belly, sending it flying in the process.

One of the warriors who specialized in the bow, with great mastery took an arrow and imbued it with a strange energy and before the aberration even touched the ground the archer sent his arrow towards the aberration and at the moment it touched his body, an explosion emanated from the arrow, making the surroundings tremble for a moment.

- THAT'S RIGHT, DON'T LET IT RECOVER, AS SOON AS IT SHOWS ITS CORE, ATTACK IT WITH EVERYTHING! – A woman who seemed to be in charge shouted.

After several attacks that left the aberration severely injured, it went into frenzy mode and a mark resembling a burning scar made of fire took shape on a part of its waist, seeing this the others were happy, as it meant that the damage had been enough for the creature to materialize its core.

- IT'S THE CORE! ARCHER GET READY TO LAUNCH YOUR STRONGEST ATTACK, THE OTHERS GET THEIR ATTENTION AND PREVENT THE CREATURE FROM GETTING CLOSE TO THE ARCHER! -

Everyone nodded to the woman's orders and the archer began to imbue one of his arrows with a strange energy that contained the forces of the wind and the earth, giving the arrow a great piercing force.

-I'm ready! – The goalkeeper said, the woman nodded and just when she was about to give a new order, the aberration who a few moments ago was at a disadvantage gained strength and shot towards the goalkeeper.

Everyone was surprised to see that, unable to react in time except for the woman who tried with all her strength to reach the archer before the creature reached him.

But that was just an illusion, once a creature went into frenzy mode, whether it was a beast or an aberration, all of its abilities ended up doubling two to three times, making them especially dangerous at that point.

The archer, who also did not expect such speed from the aberration, tried to put the arrow and pull the bow, but even if he did his best, it would still be impossible for him to survive.

Being face to face, the archer who was determined to die along with the creature, managed to hear a voice in the distance.
