Looking at the mischievous grin on Reuben’s face made my scalp go numb. He looked as if he were teasing his pet naughty kitty at home. It was revolting to say the least.

I felt I could no longer tolerate this guy, so, with a red blushing face, I decided to tactfully run away.

“I-I think I need a bath!” I mumbled some gibberish excuse under my breath and ran off to the bathroom in a haste.

As I slammed the door of the bathroom shut, I heard a low chuckle from behind me, but I didn’t care. This guy was too thick-skinned for me to bare.

I sighed behind the bathroom door in a desolate manner. Never in my wildest dreams had I thought that my reunion with Reuben would be so daunting for my mental health.
