I didn't know where the sudden anger had come from, but it was justified. His head dropped down in shame and I felt a weird satisfaction blossoming in my gut. He deserved to hear this. I had every right to ask this question, I may have not known about his kind or the fact that we were mates, but I sure knew what commitment was.
