New Pokemon

With Scarlet-

Scarlet continued her conversation with Misty.

Scarlet-"You said that Ash defeated Flint's Steelix, right? And it was commanded by Brock?"

Misty- "Yeeeah. Is there a problem?"

Scarlet-"Not a problem exactly but..."

The conversation continued where Scarlet got some information about Ash from Misty and let her off to play with Ash and the party.

Thereafter she made a call to Flint.

Scarlet-"It's been a long time Flint!"

Flint was curious about receiving a call from the fellow gym leader-"It's really been a long time! But, why? I don't think anything happened recently."

Scarlet-"My daughter visited your gym recently and told me that a new trainer defeated your Steelix."

Flint-"Nonsense! I didn't battle any new trainer with my Steelix!"

Scarlet-"The trainer didn't battle you but Brock. He defeated your Stee.."

Flint-"Steelix doesn't listen to anyone except...Wait a minute! Are you talking about the newbie trainer Ash from Pallet Town?"

Scarlet-"So you remember him! My daughter doesn't lie with facts! Tell me the details!!!!"

Flint-"Hold it, lady! He defeated that Steelix, not my Steelix. I never let Brock near my Steelix!"

Scarlet-"I knew it. I think its time for those pokemon to return to their true trainer."

Flint-"You mean Ash can find 'that trainer'?"

Scarlet-"Yes! He defeated 'that Blastoise'! I'll give have him carry that Blastoise. I think you should send me that Steelix as well. Those pokemon deserve to go back to their real trainer."

Flint-"That's true. Imagine the pokemon of the undefeated trainer to lose to a newbie! I wanna see them battle Ash with their trainer."

Scarlet-"I bet their battle will happen before Indigo League. I don't know if we can see the battle or not. Oh yeah! You contact the Blaine and Erika! They also one each of "those pokemon". I guess 'that Trainer' was correct in not leaving the Pokemon to Saffron City. The reports from that city are scary."

Flint-"I know! But what can we do? We ain't people with psychic powers! Damn it!"

Scarlet-"Don't worry too much. I think Ash can do something. He has a ghost pokemon which I feel is very powerful. Anyways, you contact the gyms. I need to contact Charicific Valley. The mighty salamander will return!"

After this conversation between Scarlet and Flint, Scarlet received a Pokeball with a Steelix. There was something special about the Pokeball, it was orange-white instead of red-white, and had the image of a pair of wings on it.

Scarlet and others who had such Pokeballs knew one thing for certain.

.

.

.

.

The Pokeballs weren't any special. Only their outside was colored differently. But, no other trainer except the owner of those Pokeballs had Pokeballs like those.

Scarlet also called Charific valley and by the end of the day, welcomed a 3-meter tall orange-yellow Charizard who had the body structure of Charizard X, along with a Pokeball similar to the one she got from Flint.

Without Ash even realizing, a powerful team of Pokemon was being reassembled for him to take to their trainer.

Who is the mysterious trainer? Why did Scarlet say that the trainer would battle Ash? What's the relation between Ash and the trainer?

Ash POV

As we were enjoying the beach near Cerulean City, my team of clones was working on making a DNA synthesizer to bring the fossils we had back to life. The complete fossils that I had discovered from the colony excited me a lot and I was working on making a synthesizer to revive those new pokemon, which were different from the known list of Pokemon. I was getting close to completing the project and had a plan to complete it before leaving Cerulean City to go to Cinnabar Islands.

Yes! I wanted to go to Cinnabar Islands before getting the Gym badges.

However, a problem had sprouted. If I prepared the machinery for Pokemon revival, I would have to delay my travel as I planned to use a yacht exchanged from the earth with an AI driving system.

So, I decided to abandon the project Pokemon revival machine but instead focused on analyzing the DNA of all the fossils we discovered so that I could use the machinery available at Cinnabar Island labs to revive my predator Pokemon.

Thinking about such things we packed and returned to the gym to discuss the further travel plans. But along the way, we saw a building surrounded by people. Something clicked and I ran to the gym, followed by curious Robin, Brock, and Misty who had joined us in the fun later.

As we entered the gym I saw the roof being blasted off and something which looked like a big vacuum cleaner attached to a hot air balloon entering.

Robin was about to attack when I stopped her.

Ash-"Don't attack them now!"

Robin was quite confused-"Why?"

Ash-"Let's listen to this idiotic trio's introduction. I promise that it's worth it."

And not disappointing me-

"Prepare for trouble!"

"And make it double!"

"To protect the world from devastation!"

"To unite all peoples within our nation!"

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"

"To extend our reach to the stars above!"

"Jessie!"

"James!"

"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"

"Meowth!"

"That's right!"

Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap

And Robin burst out laughing, rolling on the floor, holding her stomach.

Even Brock and Misty were trying to contain their laughter unsuccessfully, which had clearly infuriated the invading party.

Before they could do anything else

"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"

Boom

"Team Rocket's flying off again!"

Ok!

So why wait?

It was just because I wanted to listen to their complete introduction.

Who doesn't appreciate good poetry!

Believe me, the idiotic trio has talent in everything except being villains.

Anyway, I definitely didn't wish for Scarlet to know why I let Team Rocket blast the roof off the gym.

Next Day

As we were preparing to leave Cerulean City, Scarlet approached me and handed me 3 Pokeballs.

Ash-"What's this?"

Scarlet-"These two are Blastoise and Steelix you defeated. This one is the Charizard who belongs to the same trainer as these two."

I was confused as I thought that Steelix belonged to Flint and Blastoise belonged to Scarlet.

Ash-"Isn't Blastoise your Pokemon?"

Scarlet gave a mysterious smile-"Blastoise is the strongest Pokemon with me. He doesn't belong to me. Now that it's been defeated it needs to return to its original trainer. The same goes for Steelix. Charizard here is the key to finding that trainer."

Ash-"But, who's he exactly?"

Scarlet-"That's for you to find out. Also, don't ask any human about the trainer. You won't find the information about that trainer in any of the league database. Even the secured one!"

That was mysterious.

Someone whose info can't be found from any human or league database!

Scarlet-"You see, Blaine and Erika also have some of those pokemon who belong to that Trainer. If you can defeat them both, they'll give you those Pokemon as well. Also, you may meet some Pokemon who belonged to that trainer living somewhere in the Kanto region. It's up to you to collect all of them."

Ash-"But why should I be the one to collect them? Can't you collect them? And Why should I go through the trouble of finding some mysterious guy who I know nothing about?"

Scarlet-"Calm down brat! You want to be the greatest trainer, right? You need to battle that trainer. Just a hint, these Pokemon's performance is just a fraction of that when they were with their original trainer. Don't you want to battle such a trainer?"

That piqued my interest, but I was also kinda disappointed that such a trainer abandoned his Pokemon.

Scarlet-"The trainer didn't abandon the Pokemon. They were given to us for safekeeping and only the stronger ones were allowed to go on their own. Even this Charizard was sent to Charicific Valley for safekeeping. The trainer had some complicated conditions but I can vouch but they weren't abandoned. It's just that we can't find the trainer to return the Pokemon."

That was shocking. What kind of conditions could have forced a trainer to let go of the Pokemon?

Scarlet-"And when you do find the trainer, inform me, Flint, Erika, and Blaine. We all would love to see the battle between you two!"

Well, at least I can expect to have a good battle for all of my pokemon at the same time. Also, this explained why I felt that the battle of Blastoise and Steelix was not so vigorous. I mean, I had felt that the battle between Arcanine and Blastoise was too short for the strongest Pokemon at the gym. Milotic vs Gyarados felt more exciting.

As I was pondering over the new information, Scarlet dropped another bomb.

Scarlet-"Agatha from the elite four wants to battle you before the Indigo League but after you complete the Gym circuit. I bet she's pining for battling your Spookeon! I've heard she was opposed to reading any information regarding Spookeon. She's very scary! Just imagine! An old lady who's a battle maniac!"

Whoa! Scary!!!!

I could feel how scared Scarlet was of Agatha. I can't deny that fear as well. An old lady who specializes in ghost-type Pokemon and is a battle maniac. It's scary. Imagine Tsunade and Orochimaru combined.

Anyways, what surprised me was she didn't read anything about Spookeon, just to have a battle with me. I think I may be more popular than I thought.

Ash-"Thank you for the information. We're leaving Cerulean City today and I wanted to ask if Misty could accompany us?"

Scarlet-"Hohooo---, So you're interested in my daughter? You better take care of her young man! If she gets a single scratch, you'll see the depths of hell!!!!!"

SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!

MOTHER'S TRULY SCARY!!!!!!!!!!

I can vouch that I can face an entire army of the angriest and scariest of pokemon but I'm definitely afraid to face Mothers.

I answered mechanically-"Don't worry ma'am! I'll protect her from all dangers at all costs!"

This outburst of mine caused a stir, starting with Misty blushing, followed by yours truly. I now realized that I had shouted something quite cheesy.

Well, the cat was out of the bag and it wasn't that I didn't like Misty or anything. Since I said that, I would follow my words.

Scarlet gave quite a smirk at what transpired there and not wanting to see her laugh at me, I took Misty's and Robin's hand and ran off to our room.

After about half an hour, we were at the gate of the gym saying our goodbyes.

Scarlet-"So where are you going next? Vermillion City? Just beat the shit outta that bastard!"

Whoa, I guess Lt Surge ain't popular among the ladies. Maybe that's why he was so cranky!

Ash-"Nope! We're setting off for Cinnabar Islands. We have some fossils and we need to revive them."

Scarlet-"Oh! You've got a tonne of fossils, don't you? I demand some of the revived Pokemon be sent to me."

Misty-"MOM!"

Scarlet-"What? It's between me and my son-in-law! You don't have the right to speak!"

I BECAME A SON IN LAW!

WHEN?

HOW?

My mind blanked out and before I could realize what was happening, I was being dragged away by a blushing Misty, sprinting towards the Cerulean City pier, with Robin and Brock chasing us.

It was the first time in my life that even Arcanine was chasing me. Damn! Misty's faster than Usain Bolt, by a long shot.

In no time we arrived at the Cerulean City pier. Misty was dumbfounded as there wasn't a single ferry for Cinnabar Islands and was looking at me questioningly.

I went to one of the empty slots on the pier and released Milotic into the ocean and climbed onto her. I asked Misty to wait for Robin and Brock at the port and I rode Milotic into the distance. After a suitable distance from the port, I released a submarine, Nautilus, which I had exchanged the day before. For those who don't know, Nautilus was the submarine of Captain Nemo, from Twenty Thousand Leagues under the sea, a novel by Jules Verne.

I drove the submarine to the port with the hatch still open and the submarine surfaced, where Robin, Misty, and Brock were waiting for me.

All of them were shocked by seeing me with a submarine and further shocked by the fact that I was driving it. During the previous night, my clones had used the synthesis machine from the form to upgrade the submarine and equipped it with a basic submarine AI for ease of travel.

Robin, Misty, and Brock boarded the submarine and started exploring it, while I released Milotic and Blastoise and asked them to have a free swim and while staying close to the submarine.

I had exchanged Nautilus as it was a big submarine and could house all of our Pokemon, even Steelix and Onix.

We started our journey and the girls got glued to a window inside the submarine, to see the beautiful and untainted undersea world. It was a memorable experience and we were able to see a lot of beautiful sights.

The knowledge of the Pokemon sea world is similar to that we have on earth, with a large part being unexplored and mysterious.

After diving into great depth, we started seeing pokemon which were not seen on the surface, for example, black colored smaller Wailmer and Wailords, Cloysters with a flattened body, herds of sharpedos different from those seen on the surface, tonnes of differently colored Horsea and many more.

Although we had too much to see, we were actually speeding thought the way as the distance between Cerulean City and Cinnabar Islands was quite large and the normal ferry would take something like a week, while we were traveling at higher speeds to reach that distance between 2 days only.

On the way, we also encountered a mysterious and beautiful place, the Samiya temple.

I remembered having seen it in a Pokemon movie with Manaphy, which was on my list of Legendary Pokemon for my team.

Although I wanted to enter the temple, I just put a tracking beacon on the barrier surrounding the temple and just let it be, as I didn't want to take it too slow for my journey. I didn't tell the others about the temple, as it was actually transparent and I was only able to find it due to my sensitivity to the aura.

By noon of the third day, we were able to reach the island amongst the Cinnabar Islands that had the laboratory for the revival of fossils.

We met a guy at the lab who got very excited upon hearing our purpose for the visit.

Lab Guy-"So good to see so many fossils! Where did you find so many fossils? Oh! I'm Marsh, a Professor of fossil analysis. Nice to meet you!"

Ash-"Nice to meet you, Professor Marsh. I'm Ash from Pallet Town."

Robin, Misty, and Brock also gave their introductions, and again, we were recognized as the scientists from Pallet Town and were carried off into a meeting for the lab, without our consent. It wasn't that bad of experience but still, it was a bit shocking to see the level of their adoration.

We first revived all of the fossils belonging to Misty and Robin. There were a total of about 6 Kabuto and 8 Omanyte. Then came the turn of Brock. He had a huge collection of Old Ambers and revived 5 Aerodactyle. He was an extremely lucky fellow as the Aerodactyle revived from the almost complete fossil was actually a mutant Aerodactyle, being a Steel-Flying dual-type instead of the normal Rock-Flying dual type. He was the only person I knew of, with a prehistoric Pokemon not belonging to the Rock Type.

From my studies, I had been able to analyze the DNA of the predatory Pokemon, but not of the armored Pokemon. I used the equipment available to revive the predatory dinosaur looking Pokemon and upon revival, saw a small pup sized Velociraptor looking Pokemon looking at me with cute eyes.

At that moment I received a huge shock.

The Pokedex spoke up-"Rocklaw, a rock-fighting type Pokemon. It is characterized by high maneuverability while fighting and can change its limbs into weapons of choice. It evolves into Bladerex, a steel-fighting type pokemon, a prehistoric equivalent of Lucario."

The reason why I was shocked?

I thought that I was the first one to discover that Pokemon, but the existence of its entry in the Pokedex meant that someone had seen the Rocklaw and its evolution Bladerex before.

Although the information was shocking, the Pokemon himself was quite cute. Its actions were very similar to a cat and even Brock felt that the way Rocklaw was rubbing his head on my legs was cute.

Anyways, with the revival of all our fossils, we had something like a mini Jurassic Park for us. We obviously couldn't keep all of them for us. Thus we distributed the Pokemon amongst us and gave the rest to the lab.

Misty took 1 Omanyte, Robin 1 Kabuto, and Brock took the steel-flying Aerodactyle. Apart from that, I sent 1 Kabuto to Mom, 2 each of Kabuto and Omanyte to Scarlet, and1 Aerodactyle to Olivia. Brock sent 2 Aerodactyles to the Pewter City Gym and we sent 1 each of Kabuto, Omanyte, and Aerodactyle to Professor Oak.

After getting our Pokemon, we set off again on our submarine, this time, a bit slowly as the excitement to get a new Pokemon had calmed down a bit and I wanted to start training Rocklaw.

On the way back, I trained Pidgeoto, Milotic, and Naga. I'd have Naga battle against Milotic and Pidgeoto together. I was planning to ace Erika's gym using Pidgeoto only.

On the way, Milotic battled a lot of Pokemon in the sea, from Gyarados to Wailords to Tentacruels to other Milotics. I had been frantically searching the seas to find a Dratinee but I had been unsuccessful so far.

I'd say we were quite unlucky to find no legendary during the trip so far.

While Milotic and Naga were happy with the training, Pikachu and Raikou were getting agitated by the constant oceanic view, so I decided to take a break on an uninhabited island nearby and deboarded to explore the island.

Pikachu and Raikou were quite happy to set foot on land and ran off to explore without asking our consent, not that I was angry or anything.

We spent the day with all of the pokemon having mock battles. Skyreon and Pidgeoto had the usual game of dodging and finally after many days, Skyreon was able to win. Although it was a good achievement, Pidgeoto was not too slow, and I believed that he would catch up with Skyreon soon.

I started training Rocklaw and found that he knew only aura slash and nothing else. However, he could control his aura to a very good level, almost the same as a well trained Riolu. So, instead of developing his rock-type abilities, I decided to focus on fighting type abilities and moves.

I wanted to leave it to Pikachu, but since he had run off with Raikou, I decided to train Rocklaw in hand to hand and weapon arts personally. I started with basic dagger arts as although he was fighting type, his movements were like slashing instead of punching. Although he could do a basic punch stance, since his initial style was of a slasher, I went ahead with dagger arts.

It was a bit difficult to explain the moves to him even with psychic as he was something like a musclehead. Maybe that's why their species died out and Riolu survived during the course of evolution.

However, when he learned the dagger arts basics, he progressed to very advanced movements by himself an incorporated his tail into fighting by himself.

I did battle with him myself and I could feel the thrill of battling a strong opponent. Once, he got the basics, he was like Einstein, turning unpredictable to a very nasty degree. He got me a lot of times and finally I had to start using other forms of weapons to fight him, and he was able to pick up from those moves as well. For example, he started using pole arts and sometimes dual-wielding sword arts. By the evening, he was able to make multiple aura constructs, like holding footballs of aura on both knees and aura poles in both hands and an aura sphere on his head as well.

Owing to his superb aura control, I was thinking of teaching him one of Naruto's signature move, the "RASENGAN". I had tried to make a Rasengan out of aura by myself but my control was nowhere near Rocklaw's level.

In the evening, I saw Pikachu and Raikou coming back and discussing something like the absence of Pokemon on the island despite the presence of a few trees and a small lake.

I was surprised that if there's a lake there ought to be some water pokemon but it definitely was weird that no Pokemon lived on the island. But, we didn't have any clue regarding that and obviously, I didn't have any plan for poking my nose where it didn't belong as the reason for the absence of any Pokemon was definitely something natural as the island didn't have any trace of human activity.

Since it was natural, I decided to take advantage of it and gave a go to the battle between Pikachu and Raikou as the devastation brought by their battle wouldn't affect any lifeform like the previous battle.

As Pikachu and Raikou started their battle, the one who most closely observed their fight was actually Mewtwo as he had looked up to Pikachu as an elder brother and it was the first time that he was observing Pikachu in an all-out serious battle.

This battle between Pikachu and Raikou was on a whole different level compared to the previous one. The reason? Raikou had learned moves like Hyperbeam, energy ball, Giga impact, and other moves, increasing his movepool to a massive range. Pikachu had somehow entered Dragonforce again and was using aura for battling Raikou.

It was really like a battle between Goku and Vegeta, both of them equals, waves of destruction getting released on every exchange of blows. Robin, Misty, and Brock had taken refuge inside the submarine and were viewing the battle from inside. The weather had changed to a very terrible stormy one and there definitely wasn't any chance of their battle ending anytime soon.

Unlike the first battle, where each of them had different strengths and weaknesses, this time, the blows were of equal strength, headbutt to headbutt, punch to punch, tail to tail, thunder to thunder, and many more. Their passionate battle was infecting me and Mewtwo who was watching the battle up close.

As the battle was progressing, the waves of destruction had started spreading to the sea and it had started turning turbulent.

I ignored the change to weather but someone had taken notice of the drastic exchange going on between Pikachu and Raikou. I was quite oblivious to what was happening except the battle, while Mewtwo was definitely on a wholly different alert level.

How can I say that?

As the exchange was going on, an array of Hyperbeams approached Pikachu and Raikou, who still hadn't noticed it due to their involvement in the battle, and a huge Solar Flare from Mewtwo stopped it.

I was shocked to see an attack of that scale and suddenly grew wary of my own carelessness.

A very deep roar rang through the environment.

And for the first time since he had been born, Mewtwo gave an angry howl in a particular direction.

"oooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!"

I got goosebumps listening to that exchange and look towards the direction Mewtwo was looking into.

I could feel Mewtwo's anger as the space around him had started distorting. I could share his sentiment, his family was about to be attacked behind their backs, and more importantly, the battle that he was watching and enjoying was almost interrupted.

As I looked into the sea, I realized why the island was devoid of Pokemon.

I peered into two shining eyes as roar sounding like the blowing of a conch broke through the battle sounds.

"NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!"

Next Time-

Mewtwo's wrath! The Legendary Battle

Author Note-

I'm extremely sorry about the delay in the chapter.

After the exams, a few things happened and I couldn't motivate myself to compose the further storyline.

As I had said before, I'm definitely not dropping this and I am grateful to everyone who supported me even when I was not uploading chapters and were patient to wait for me to upload new chapters.

As I'm back now, everyone can expect at least one chapter every day.
