First Pokemon

After my fourth birthday celebration and the restaurant grand opening me and mom fell into a deep sleep and woke up refreshed the next day. Mom prepared my breakfast and went to prepare for the daily business of the restaurant. Seeing myself as free I decided to move to space and check out its progress. On reaching the space I found a notification stating that I had received something and it was in the ranch. I moved to the ranch and discovered a beautiful white elephant baby sleeping under a big tree. The sight of the tree and the elephant was almost ethereal. Its skin was unblemished glowing white and a very dense psychic energy and aura ran rampant around it. There were also some warm as well a s cool energies which definitely weren't like ice or heat but something more serene. The baby held a small partially bloomed lotus in its hand and the beautiful sight made me stand there gawking at the spectacle and enjoying its ethereal beauty. After some time I realized that there was a panel atop the elephant which showed a 2 year-long countdown. I assumed it was the time it will take the elephant to wake up, fully understanding that such a large body does require a long time development. Leaving that I decided to name my elephant Bodhi, as it looked like Buddha sitting under the Bodhi tree for enlightment. Well, I left the farm and decided to start my day outside. I freshened up and went out to play, as that's the only thing I can do right now.

Why not train you ask? Simple I came to this world to enjoy a free life and I have plenty of time. I plan to start proper training only after 6 or maybe even later. The reason being, the time ratio here is indeed different. The people really grow up slowly and 1 year is really equivalent in duration to 10 years. No wonder Ash didn't grow up while I went from a Primary school student to a Graduate Doctor. Well, it's not like I ain't training at all. Just a few months ago I chanced upon a way to practice psychic. As I always had a problem with doing something with psychic energy, I thought upon a different way to utilize it. In my previous life, I had seen a not so popular anime entitled Elfen Lied. Picturizing my psychic energy in the form of hands like the vectors in that anime, I came to utilize it to practice moving things. The imagination part wasn't difficult but real control was, as I subconsciously moved my real hands as well. To practice psychic I came up with a game of kids parkour in the orchards available to kids for playing. I enjoyed those times where I could merge training into the games I played, thus enjoying my childhood without sacrificing the childhood perks and advantages. I could observe the change in my strength, agility, and stamina levels. My psychic control had increased to the level where I could move objects twice as heavy as me with two vector hands and control 4 vector hands independently to do fine work like writing or shifting leaves.

Since I had attained such success in psychic energy, I believed myself to be strong enough to venture into the forest and that I did, without telling my mom of course. Walking into the forest, I realized that most of the wild pokemon I saw weren't afraid of me. They normally ignored me and if I tried to pet some they'd welcome the petting and enjoy it. I had met rattatas, raticates, pidgeys, spearows, catterpees, even a few beedrill which didn't attack me. Well I wasn't a trainer yet so I couldn't catch any of them and I didn't need to right now. As I was enjoying my trip as if taking a stroll in the backyard, I felt my head lighten and raising my hand to check it I found that my cap was gone. As I mentioned before, I didn't have my mom's permission to go to the forest and losing my cap I couldn't hide the fact from my mom that I had ventured into the forest. I looked around and saw my cap climbing up a tree. After climbing up it jumped down to the different side where I discovered a growlith, which I could feel lay there in anticipation and I was correct. The cap landed on Growlith's back and shifted sideways, revealing a small cute red-cheeked mouse pokemon Pichu. Counting myself unlucky as well as lucky and started chasing them. Firstly I thought that I had encountered some naughty thief pokemon but they actually sometimes stopped to allow me to catch up. I realized that they were in the mood to play and since they were playing, I left my seriousness and started practicing my skills. We got too much into playing and I ignored the cries of other pokemon I was hearing. I thought that they were just kinda excited to play and I kept chasing the duo for about 2 hours. Getting tired I accelerated myself using psychic, caught up with them, and took back my cap. I could see cute pouting expressions on the two pokemon's faces and petted their faces and brought out berries from the farm storage. While I started relaxing I found myself curious about the fact that the pichu and growlith, both belong to species which live in families and both of them were actually alone. I tried sending a very weak pulse of psychic to their minds and tried to read up their condition. Pichu's condition was actually quite a cliche. He was born alone, possibly after a storm, and encountered the lonely growlith who like the Pichu itself was a newborn. The growlith however, was actually thrown out of his family. After I saw the growlith closely, I saw shades of green amidst his stripes. Seen as something different his family threw him out. Both of the newly born loners struck off when they met and became friends. Sympathizing with their condition, I realized we were somewhere deep within the forest. Now I got a bit afraid thinking that I was lost. I asked the two if they knew the way out of the forest and they tilted their heads cutely before they started shaking in fear. While I was wondering why they were behaving like that, I heard a very cute voice "Tedi...."

"Oh shit"

I turned my head to see before getting slammed by something into the trees. I collided with a tree, bit my teeth in pain, and saw a pair of huge Ursaring glaring down on me and the two. Due to my psychic practice, I had only received a shock and some heavy pain, my body itself wasn't that much injured. But to Pichu and Growlith it seemed that I had received some grave injury. While I was still in shock Pichu and Growlith jumped upon the Ursarings like crazies. I was now realizing that the pokemon earlier were actually warning me to stay away from the depths of the forest. I saw the Ursarings make a quick work of the Pichu-growlith team and handled them like hyenas playing with dead bodies. Watching such treatment of those kids just ticked me off and I punched both the Ursarings with the most powerful psychic punches I could, jumped to grab the two unconscious kids, and ran like crazy. Reaching a cliff I jumped down, falling gently into the river and then swimming off to the shore. I saw the serious condition of Pichu and Growlith and immediately sent them to space and used the space to treat them. After seeing the two fully cured and sleeping peacefully I realized how rash and crazy I had been. I didn't think properly as I realized now that I could actually teleport back to my backyard. I immediately did so with the Pichu and Growlith clinging to my arms.

And I messed up

"MR ASH KETCHUM!"

Scary.......

"I believe that I told you that you're only allowed to go to the park! Where the hell have you been? Why are your clothes dirty? And is that........B..B...Blood?"

Crap I didn't clean myself.

"It's not my blood mom. it was the blood of these kids."

Shifting attention to the two pokemon in my arms, my mom realized that I had brought guests tonight.

I had to spend the next hour convincing my mom that I had rescued Pichu and Growlith without getting myself in danger. It was scary......Mom's are scary.....

I was finally able to convince her, at the price of my next month's pocket money.

Well, the next day the two woke up and clung to me. Guess they were conscious at the moment I rescued them. I didn't mind though.

"How are you guys"

"Growl...." "PiiiPichu"

Getting their approval of their well being I asked them if they wished to stay with me and accompany me later on my journey to become a trainer.

That was a joyous and memorable day for me. I started getting my team together.

The ones to stand toe to toe against all legendaries.

NOTE:-

Sorry for the delay. Somehow my entire chapter got deleted just before publishing and I had to retype the entire thing.

For the pokemon, I received suggestions for growlith as well as a few for Pikachu so I made it for both of them to be the starters.

However, please keep giving suggestions for the team. Although I have decided on a few members, I plan to make a bigger team compared to original and a few originals will definitely be there.
