We'll Meet Again

The smell of smoke and ash filled the air of the once beautiful village the flames had consumed everything in sight. The couple trapped in the flames "we had a run, didn't we?" She asked tears in her hazel eyes.

Her husband held her close "yes, of course they were the best years of my life" he brushed her hair out of face one last time. A sad smile on his face as he kissed her brow the world around them burning "see you in the next life my love."

I had some fun with this and I may or may not do more with this one day I felt like doing some prompts and found this one.
