My Demon Mates

Lydia Jennings was your normal 21-year-old young lady. She had just started her first job after finishing school. It wasn't her dream job, but it was a start. She still loved to do the things from her early teenage years, not that she'd tell anyone else that for fear that they'd make fun of her. She loved to read, especially stories of the Victorian Era. After her senior year, her parents sprung and bought her a trip to London. Those tales painted a vastly different picture than this modern world. Then there was her other guilty pleasure. She loved watching Black Butler. It was set in the same era but with supernatural elements. She was drawn to some of the characters in the show but brushed it off. It wasn't like she'd ever get to meet them, they were fictional. She kept her head down and continued her life until one day everything changed. I don't own Black Butler or any of the characters!

Second Night

Lydia jumped at the unexpected voice. She turned and saw Claude standing beside the window. "Jesus Claude, you scared me to death!" she said, putting a hand over her beating heart.

Claude smirked, pushing his glasses up his nose. He then walked over to her and bent next to her ear, "Wrong deity, my darling."

At first, Lydia was confused by Claude's statement, but then she caught on to his meaning, and then she hit him playfully. "It's just a saying, Claude."

He looked up at her, his golden eyes locked with her hazel ones, "Either way I don't wish to hear another man's name from your lips, but your mates."

"I second that," Sebastian said.

How had Lydia missed him coming into the room? Now both of them were looking at her with intense gazes. She swallowed hard and asked, "S-so what happens now?"

The two demons looked at one another, then Sebastian said, "We would like to hear more about what you told us last night."

"Then we'll discuss what happens from here," Claude finished.

Lydia nodded her head before she sat on the bed. There was a lot to go over. Sebastian and Claude stood in front of her in comfortable positions, giving her some space. She was glad of that. Lydia began to tell them what would happen for the events that she had laid out to occur. She mostly looked at the floor as she spoke, but when she looked at either one of them the gaze never faltered away from her. They were soaking in the information she was giving them. "... And so because of the contract that Alois made with Hannah that was why Ceil was made into a demon. That was why the two of you had to fight and why Claude died. Hannah ate Alois' soul. Ceil was made into a demon, but because of the last order that he gave Sebastian... well it meant that Sebastian was stuck in an eternal contact with Ceil. There's not much else after that except that Ceil faked his death, and he and Sebastian left for parts unknown and that was the end of the show," Lydia finished off her explanation.

It was quiet for a long time in the room. She didn't know where to look. She knew that she'd just given them a lot of information to digest. Lydia wanted things to be different though. She didn't want to see her favorite characters hurt or dead. Lydia felt the bed dip and their hands being placed on her own. She looked up and both Sebastian and Claude were sitting on either side of her. "Well I suppose we know now what things to avoid in the future," Sebastian said wryly.

Lydia cracked a smile. "His highness was never really one of my favorite masters," Claude stated.

Lydia knew that wasn't a complete truth, but maybe her being there had changed things. She squeezed their hands. She was pretty nervous about this next part, but being around either one of them made her feel safe and comfortable, "So what happens next?"

"Darling, we thought you would never ask," Claude said huskily as he drew closer to her.

"First there is becoming a demon, so long as you don't object," Sebastian explained as he played with her hair.

She was feeling warm all over, but not in a bad way. She shook her head, "No, no I don't object. I want to be with you both."

Sebastian pecked the crown of her head. "In that case, then after you turn we would both mark you. It's just to show that you have mates," Claude explained.

"That makes sense," Lydia said as loudly as she could, though she felt her mouth was becoming dry.

Claude pecked her cheek. "And then after that," Sebastian murmured next to her ear.

"You're ours," Claude continued.

"And we'll consummate our relationship," Sebastian said wickedly.

"Until dawn," Claude finished.

Lydia's heart was racing. Her cheeks were crimson red. Was it bad that she was sort of looking forward to this? Sebastian and Claude stood each taking one of her hands. They pulled her up. "Where are we going?" she asked.

"We cannot stay here," Sebastian said.

"There will be too much noise," Claude finished.

Lydia supposed she understood. She let the two of them guide her. They headed to an abandoned-looking forest far away from the manor. There didn't seem to be anything else for miles either. Lydia swallowed nervously as Sebastian and Claude laid her on the ground gently. "It will be over before you know it, darling," Claude said.

"And we promise to be as gentle as possible," Sebastian finished.

Lydia nodded her head slightly. Then it felt like something bit her hand. It was such a little bite that she almost didn't believe it. Then her eyelids started getting heavy. She looked at the two of them and Claude looked at her sadly, "Go to sleep, love. Soon enough you'll wake, and we'll be together forever."

Lydia saw the flash of his fangs. He must have bitten her. It made sense. She succumbed soon enough and darkness surrounded her. Lydia was in the darkness, hanging there. She was scared and alone. She was there for it felt like forever. Then she heard the two voices that made her feel whole. They spoke to her for the longest time before Sebastian asked, "You do know that if you take this step you will forever be cut off from Heaven?"

Lydia looked both Claude and Sebastian in the eye as she answered, "Where you two are is where Heaven is."

They both smiled and Claude said, "Now that is an answer I like to hear."

Everything went black again and Lydia felt incredibly weak. When she woke, they were back in the clearing. Claude said, "Stay still, love. You'll be weak for some time."

"Wh-what happens now?" Lydia asked in an almost dreamy-sounding voice, blinking her eyes slowly.

They each took her right hand. "We mark you, my dear," Sebastian said.

"Will it hurt?" she asked in a low voice.

"I'm not sure," Claude confessed.

"Nor am I," Sebastian said.

Lydia exhaled sharply, "Well go ahead and do it before I lose my nerve!"

They both bent over her hand. Lydia could see their fangs in their mouths as they came closer. She closed her eyes. Lydia felt what felt like pricking on the back of her hand. She opened her eyes to see the two of them just watching over her, holding her hand. She could see it then. At first, nothing seemed off, but then design formed there."Wh-what's this?"

"It's your contract mark and also your mate mark. It's special. It reflects the seal of your mate," Sebastian explained.

"But that doesn't make sense since you're both my mates," Lydia pondered aloud.

Both Sebastian and Claude took off one of the gloves and there clear as day was a mark. The longer she studied their marks the more she could see similarities in her own. It was like her mark had been made from the two of theirs. She looked up at the two of them, "What h-happens next?" she licked her lips anxiously.

"We make you ours," Claude said devilishly.
