The Ascension Ceremony

After waiting for so long finally the ascension ceremony is going to start. I am very excited to see Hugo Rose in his Royal outfit.

To see him in his outfit I rushed toward the throne room. After some time he appeared with a beautiful lady beside him. I guess she is his escort for today.

She looks amazing I think she looks more Royalish than Hugo. But it isn't possible cause there is no way that she belongs to the Royal family. She is probably the personal maid of Hugo.

I have never heard of escorting the new king to the throne by a royal family member.

But my thinking gets proven wrong cause when Hugo sat on the throne he said "Thank you, sister".

So that means the lady beside him was 'Rosania Rose' the only princess of the Rose Kingdom.

I feel glad that nobody knew about my thinking cause if even a word got out I would get the death penalty for sure. But everything is well now so I guess I shouldn't think about it too much.

After sitting on the throne he raised his hand and waved to everyone. After that, the priests from the Lumenia Church recite the Holy Scripture and bestowed their blessings on the new king.

After the recitation, the Archpriest ordered a knight to bring the Rose crown. The knight hurried and bought the crown.

The priest then said, "May you become a fine king and bring prosperity to the Kingdom and make it as beautiful as a rose, from today I the Archpriest Yang Azu by the grace of goddess Lumenia declare you the King of Rose Kingdom".

After saying the words Yang crowns Hugo. With that, the Ascension ceremony gets over.

Everyone is now eating and drinking. I can't miss this chance to eat all the delicious meats and the expensive drinks so I also jump over the food.

First I grab a chicken leg piece and a bottle of expensive wine then later I try the lobster and the meat of Aeathic.

Aeathic is a special monster that can be only found in the Kalid universe but they are a rare animal in the Kingdom so only the Nobel and the Royal family get the chance to enjoy their juicy meat.

But due to the Ascension ceremony, every guest gets the chance to eat this delicious meat. I prefer this meat over beef.

It has more rich tastes than any other animal so it's my favorite animal here. Well, I guess I have to thank Gilbert for the invitation.

If it's not for him we would never get the chance to eat this beautiful and delicious meat. So thanks Gilbert, I have to show my gratitude in front of him or he will never notice how gratuitous I am for the invitation.

But to show him my gratuitous I have to see him first. But I didn't see him since the beginning of the ceremony.

It seems like I have to go and search for him. But I don't want to stop eating but it seems like I have got no Choice.

So I unintentionally search for him. When I was searching for him here and there princess Rosania comes to me and asks me "May I have the honor to know who are you?"

After listening to the question I began to shake cause I was very nervous in front of the princess.

But luckily the ladies I mean Lara, Trivut, and Quinella were around me that time so they all came near me and then sticks with me and asks the princess "Can we borrow this gentleman for a second?"

Rosania looks at me and said "Okay" but when we were about to take our leave she stopped us and said I only let you borrow him make sure to give him back".

After saying that she left from there. We also leaved the place and go to the garden.

After going to the garden Quinella grabbed my hand and asked me "Are you trying to seduce the princess? Don't you know that it will only bring misfortune over you"?

I replied, "I know that and just to inform you that I wasn't trying to flirt or seduce her she was the one who approached to me".

After listening to my words she looked at me with a sus look in her eyes and said "Do you really think I will believe it".

I sigh and said, "Well, it's your choice to believe my words or not, I will not push the truth on you if you are comfortable with the lie then you don't have to believe my words".

She looked kinda worried after listening to my words so I was going to shoulder the false accusation to comfort her but that's when Trivut said "I don't think he was trying to flirt with the princess cause by the words of her it looked like she was interested in Chris.

So I will believe Chris's word, but it's your choice Quinella if you want to trust him or not".

After listening to her words Quinella decides to believe my words. So it seems like Trivut and Quinella believe my words but Lara didn't say any words to me all this time looking at her face I know that she was also suspecting me of a crime that I haven't done.

To clear the concern out of her mind I was going to talk to her but that's when a Rose knight come to me and said: "The princess is waiting, please come with me".

I had no choice but to go with him. He led me to the way of the princess.

She was sitting on a chair in her room. I don't know why but it seems like she has invited me to her room for some reason.

Her room is so beautiful. The room is designed with red roses. It seems like the Rose family really likes roses more than their life.

She welcomed me into her room and said to follow her to the balcony. So I just go with her to the balcony.

She looked at the view of the royal capital for some time and then asked me "How long do you intend to make me wait? Hurry up and introduce yourself".

I was stunned by listening to her voice suddenly cause I was thinking about something else at that time.

After listening to her voice I apologized to her and said: "I am so sorry, princess if you don't mind let me introduce myself, my name is Christopher Brown and I am the dark mage of the Twin Horns adventurer's party led by Gilbert Adolescent".

After knowing my identity she said, "So you are in the newly made party of Gilbert".

I nodded my head and asked her "If you don't mind princess can I ask you a question?"

She looked at the clock hanging on the wall and said "Of course but first let's have feasts".

I couldn't say no to her so I followed her to the royal Alimento room. The room is for the Rose family only.

No one can have a feast here without their permission but I wonder why the princess is letting me have a feast in this forbidden place.

She sat on a chair and also ordered me to sit on a chair. So I sat on a chair near her.

After waiting for 5 minutes a chief bought us some fried chicken. I was so happy to see the fried chickens.

In excitement, I asked her "Do you also like chicken?"

She looked at me with disgust and said "There is no way a princess like me would like something that tasteless, I only like the phoenix fries".

After saying that she pointed to the meats bought by the chief and said me to taste the phoenix fries for the first time.

I cleared my ears in front of her and asked her "did you just say phoenix fries?"

She looked at me with curiosity in her eyes and said "Yeah".

I was shocked to know that the phoenix can be hunted cause they can only be found in the dungeons and if you destroy their core then they turn to ashes, so there is no way to retrieve their meats, then how the princess was able to retrieve them?

I tasted the phoenix in front of her and asked her "how did you manage to retrieve the meat?"

She looked at me like I asked something obvious and said "Our Archpriest Yang Azu can use a Holy skill named 'Holy Hunt' by using this skill he can retrieve any monster's body".

After saying that she looked at me and seeing me being uncomfortable she shows me a devil smile and said "Don't tell me you didn't know something that simple after saying that she laughed and said Oh! This kind of knowledge is too much for a commoner,

Please forgive me for forgetting that you are a commoner. I don't know how can I get out of this hell now but when I was thinking about how Gilbert showed up. (To be continued)
