Hunting goblins (2)

"let's wait for a few minutes and see if something happens and they move!" Leon said looking at the 4 goblins that are patrolling near the large tree trunk that is covered with vines.

"It seems like they are guarding something near the tree trunk!" Emily responded looking at the goblins not moving from the tree trunk.

"But what is it they are guarding, I am curious about that!" As Emily, he also doesn't know what the goblins were guarding.

He again opens his divine sense to examine the goblins, as he expanded his divine sense and focuses on the tree trunk that was covered in vines. He noticed something unusual about those vines, he expand further his divine sense and saw that there is a cave underneath those vines.

'There is a cave down there...so they are guarding their nest, there must be at least 20 to 30 goblins down there.' Leon tried to guess, this is his first time seeing real goblins and their nest but he wasn't scared instead he was excited.

"Hubby, did you see something interesting?" Looking at Leon's exciting smile on his face she asked.

"Yes, there is a cave down there and those 4 goblins were guarding the gate, I am planning to enter the cave!" Leon wanted to look at the cave hoping to find something valuable inside. He heard remembered that the description of the mission clearly said that, the goblins looted many people on the road.

"So you're aiming for the goods inside the goblin cave? It won't be easy to clear it, but then again it will be a huge profit if we get something valuable inside!" Emily said thinking about the possibility of finding something valuable inside.

"Let's attack them now, you take the two on the left with your magic this will make the other two on the right distracted. At that time I will immediately take them out.

" WIND BLADE" Emily did as Leon told her to do, she immediately cast her magic spell aiming at the two goblins. The mana gathered around Emily's hand and create a large blade site of a desk made of wind. Emily shoots the wind blade at the goblins at a very fast speed. As she releases her attack Leon also charged toward the other two targets.

The two goblins didn't even notice the upcoming attack, the wind blade went sliced through their body in half instantly killing them.

"thud" "thud" "Grrrrrr?...." Looking at their comrade's lifeless body falling to the ground and dyeing the ground green with their green blood, the other two goblins couldn't comprehend what was happening.

"Bang!!!" Leon charged at the other two goblins at an incredibly fast speed, he grabbed both goblins' heads smashing them on the ground making their head into a paste which killed them immediately.

After killing the goblins he suddenly stopped and looked at his hands, this was his first time killing anything in this life or his past life but the strange thing is that he didn't feel anything after killing the goblins.was it because they have green blood? Or is it something else?

'Either way, it's a good thing that I am not feeling sad air anything after killing them or I would be dead by now again' he thought inwardly looking at the dead body of the goblins, soon a notification from the system drew his attention

'What the hell...only 5 CP for each? It's pretty damn low!' Leon felt like shaping the system's butt. At first, he thought he would at least receive 20 CP for each, but it is still much better than getting nothing at all.

Emily gets close to the dead bodies of the goblins, she pulled out her dagger and cut their ears and put it in a pouch.

"What are you gonna do with those ears?" He was curious about Emily's actions, why would someone need goblins' ears?

"Ohh...I forget that you don't know, I am collecting ears as proof of completing our mission. These goblins are very low-level monsters, they don't have a mana core in their body. Usually, the goblin champion or the higher-level goblins has a mana core on their body." Emily explained.

Leon and Emily move towards the entrance of the cave that is hidden behind some vines, Leon opened his divine sense again to look at the situation inside the cave. The cave has almost 3 rooms inside, in the first room there are 9 goblins patrolling. 4 of them were armed with bows and the rest of them were equipped with swords or knives.

"In the front, there are 9 goblins in total at the moment. Four of them are archers and the rest of them have swords or knives in their hands, I will take the 4 archers immediately and you try to end the rest of them with your magic as soon as possible!" Leon told his plan

After that Leon and Emily both take their position to make a surprise attack at the entrance of the cave. Leon prepared his attack as he gathered a large amount of profound qi in his fists and rushed in.

"TEN THOUSAND AIR FISTS first form—AIR TRAVEL BY THE MOUNTAIN AND RIVER..." Leon launches his attack aiming at the goblin archers.

"WIND BLADE.." Emily also chanted her spell aiming at the rest of the goblins, she poured a lot of mana in a single attack to increase its power.

"Grrrrrrrr?" They couldn't even let out a proper sound as both attacks reached their target without letting them have time to dodge the attack, "boom" " swishhh!!!"With a loud bang and an air-scattering sound, the goblins became meat paste. They don't even know what happened to them and died without being aware of who killed them.

These goblins are the same as before only low-level monsters that don't have any cores in them. Emily takes their ears as proof and put them in her pouch. As she was about to finish...

A bulky and huge to be precise the size of a human goblin entered as he let out an angry roar at Leon and Emily. Looking at the goblin, Loen could tell this one is much stronger than those until they had killed.

"Emily, is it the goblin champion that you talked about?" Leon asked.

"No, it's a hobgoblin that will evolve into a goblin warrior later. It is much stronger than those low-level goblins." Emily explained.

'I should try out my strength without using any techniques!' Looking at the high goblin in front of him he got a wild idea in his mind, which is to fight the goblin with only pure body strength. Other adventurers would think of Leon as an idiot who is looking for death!
