Back to the Guild

Leon and Emily are now heading back to the city by the road which they came before and they are walking for half an hour on the road, they took nearly an hour to come out of the forest safely before heading toward the city.

"Emily, are you tired?" Leon asked looking at Emily in concern.

"No! I am not, what about you? You know you had fought with many monsters, are you really alright?" Her worried look was clearly visible on her face as she asked.

"No! I am totally fine! Let's keep moving, I want to take a bath as soon as we arrive in the town!" Keon says as he continues moving forward on the road, and soon enough the city gate of Carran city came into view of Leon and Emily. Looking at the city gate, a smile broke into their face and their steps became quicker than before.

Leon and Emily walked toward the city gate, and like before, 4 guards are guarding the city gate and checking everyone going in and out of the city.

They walked toward the city gate and showed their adventurer's license to the guards, and the guard let them in without asking any questions.

"Ohh! You two from before!" One of the guards recognised Leon and Emily and ask, " How did your mission go?"

"It went smoothly!" Leon said, "By the way do you know where the public bathhouse is?"

"Goblins blood, huh? I hate them too!" The guard said," it's on the left side of the guild and it will cast 1 silver coin for each!"

"Alright, Thanks for the help!"Leon said.

"It's nothing, kid!" The guard said as he goes back to his duties.

"Now that we're inside the city and know the location of the bathhouse, we should head to the guild first!" Emily said the bathhouse was near the guild so after submitting the mission report to the guild they can immediately enter the bathhouse.

"Let's do that then, after submitting the report we will head to the bathhouse!" Leon nodded his head at her words, they continue to move forward toward the adventurers guild. The guild was not far from the city gate, it will take 10 to reach the guild.

After 10 minutes have passed, Emily and Leon were now in front of the guild. They take their steps forward and push the door open, it was evening so there are a lot of adventurers in the waiting room, many have come to the guild to submit their reports and proof of their completing the mission and while some just came here to pass their time with their friend while drinking. When they saw Leon and Emily enter the guild, they all turn their attention to both of them.

Ignoring the people's stares, Leon and Emily move toward the receptionist's counter, he saw Miss Ava sitting on her counter. The Carran city/Border town was just a small town, the guild only has one receptionist and that was Miss Ava.

Suddenly, Leon and Emily spotted the three individuals who take the guild test with them, they are looking at Leon as if he had raped their mother.

"Leon, why Maria and the others are staring at us like that?" Emily asked in confusion, she don't remember offending them so why are they giving a cold stare to them?

"Well, it must be because you rejected their offer yesterday. I don't like getting into trouble, but if they are looking for trouble with us, I will show them what hell is like!" He said in a cold voice that made Emily shiver, she remembered how Leon defeat the goblin champions like they are chickens.

Mss Ava was taking the mission reports of the other adventurers and distributing the rewards to them, Leon and Emily went to her counter as soon as the other adventurers left her counter.

"Good evening, Miss Ava!" Leon greeted her.

"Ahhh You guys are back already?" Miss Ava said in a surprised tone, she looked at Leon and Emily for a moment and said, " From your looks, I assume you two completed the mission, how did it go?"

"The mission went smoothly without any obstacles!" He turns to Emily and said, " Emily, can you take them out?"

"Alright!" She knows what Leon meant by them, she went close to the table and take everything she has in her pouch. Three monster cores, some goblin ears and lastly some jewellery fall on the table from Emily's pouch.

'This is.... these three monster cores from the goblin champions and goblin king, from the weight the goblin king was a C-rank monster and as for the other two they are from the D-rank monsters and this is a lot of jewellery, how did they get them?......don't tell me they subjugated a goblins hideout...!' She thought inwardly looking at the stuff in front of her on the table.

"You two, how did you get your hands on the cores and the jewellery? They are a lot of them!" Miss Ava asked in a surprising tone.

"We get those after killing all the goblins in a cave!" Leon said normally without showing many expressions on his face.

'My instincts were right, they did clear a goblin hideout!' Miss Ava thought inwardly looking at both of them in awe.

"If you two really killed the goblin king and the two champions, why can't I see a scratch on your bodies?" Miss Ava asked suspiciously and it was obvious for her to be suspicious of them, if adventurers at the B-rank fight with Goblin King and champions he is bound to get some wound on his body. But it wasn't the case for Leon and Emily as they don't even have a scratch on their body, it was unbelievable unless one is an A-rank adventurer.

"My Hubby is strong, they just died in just 3 attacks of my hobby!" Emily said while showing a proud smile on her face as she puffed her chest out in a cute way.

"What!!!" Miss Ava became speechless hearing Emily's words. how can a person who just become an adventurer yesterday kill three monsters of C and D rank? No one would believe her word if she tells anyone.

"Miss Ava, can you hurry up and make the payment I have to clean myself!" Leon said while looking at his clothes that have a green blood stain that stinks.

"Alright! Give me a moment, it won't take much!" She came out from the counter table and took the cores and jewellery inside.

5 minutes later, Miss Ava came back to the counter table and she bought a big pouch on her and which is filled with money.

"These 3 gold and 10 silver are the mission reward, as for the rest, these 8 gold coins for the cores and 20570 gold coins for the 25 pieces of jewellery. Put them carefully!" Miss Ava handed them the money.

'This is a lot of money...a" she muttered inwardly while looking at the bag of money in front of her, Emily's eyes sparkled with excitement and hug Leon's left hand.

Leon smiled at Emily looking at her cheering smile and said, " Now, let's head to the bathhouse and take a relaxing bath in hot water!"
