“Jeonghan..” I whispered. I couldn’t think straight. I couldn’t believe this was happening.
The first man that I loved, my first kiss, my first heartbreak, my first in everything was setting me free.
“Why?” my voice broke. I shouldn’t be asking him but I want to know.
“Why?” Jeonghan repeated. His voice was shaky and trembling. “Why not Yoo-Mi? You’re happy now with Josh. You’re happy without me, you can live without me and I am too. I had lived without you. You don’t need someone like me who’s coward, useless, and mentally unstable.”
“You had lived without me, but were you happy?”
“It doesn’t matter if I was happy or not. I’m alive, see? Without you.”
