Somebody turned the lights on.
I was disoriented but I knew that I was being carried in furry arms, the male carrying me held me as far away from his body as possible, he smelled like a rogue but walked like a man.
I tried to care about the whole thing, but something inside of me refused to. Awareness was something I shied away from at the moment.
I was only blinking when my wolf's weight shifted, the relief I felt when I was in the arms of my mate was almost painful. My wolf was anxious but my head was too hazy to analyze her instincts, and so I shifted into my human form.
"You can run but you can't hide," Theo said, his low voice sent shivers down my spine, he kept his eyes straight forward, away from my face.
And then I remembered.
"DADDY!" I struggled against Theo's arms that just wouldn't release me, the strength I loved so much became a cage that prevented me from running back to where my father was.
