12 Chapter 12 - I Can Drive, But I Don't Have A License

Li Tian didn't know why Su Xiao Yue was in such a rush.

Su Xiao Yue's car was a Honda. Its performance wasn't bad at all, and Li Tian got used to it as soon as he started driving.

This man had driven a tank before, it was impossible that he didn't know how to drive a car.

"Go to Hong Mao Commercial Building!"

Su Xiao Yue was busy making phone calls and informing Li Tian about the destination at the same time.

To be honest, Li Tian really didn't know where Hong Mao Commercial Building was. Luckily, there was GPS navigation in the car. After all, he'd only been in Jiangdu for four days, it wouldn't be easy for him to find places easily like that.

"President, I'll head over there myself. If you're busy, you don't have to come. According to the report, it doesn't look too serious. I can handle it."

Lin Yi was the first person Su Xiao Yue had called.

"Oh, okay. I have some things to do today anyways and I can't really leave. I'll leave this to you."

Lin Yi actually felt anxious upon hearing the news, but as she looked at the person with her, she knew she really couldn't leave.

"Mum, I've already admitted to my wrongdoings, what else does he want from me? I can't do anything if he doesn't want to come back. How about I promise you that if he decides to return, I won't get angry at him anymore, okay?"

Lin Yi was doing her best to act cutesy and persuade the beautiful woman beside her. If Li Tian were to see this scene, he would have been stupefied. Heck, even people who were close to Lin Yi would've all been shocked to the core as well.

The woman's face was filled with love and care, as she looked at her daugher in her arms. She felt so happy.

However, today, she had to say some things that needed to be said. She could care less about the Lin family, but she needed to help her own husband.

"Xiao Yi, your dad called me just now. He told me that Xiao Tian will come back today, you just have to fix your attitude. I know you're a big girl now and you have your own ways of thinking but you two are already married so you should do your best as someone's wife. I'm not asking you to become a wife that cooks and does the laundry but towards your husband, you should be more caring! You two are a married couple, but are still sleeping in separate rooms. If this news spreads, I..."

The lady said, and appeared to have a helpless expression on her face. If it weren't for Lin Yi's strong personality, perhaps this incident wouldn't have escalated to this stage.

"Mum, you have to give me time to get used to this. I didn't even know him before this, how could I sleep with him so easily? Mom, just give me one more month, I'll try to get along with him. If feelings can be forced, we'll become a true married couple, okay?"

Lin Yi had to promise her mom. Since she was young, her mother had never forced her into doing anything she didn't want to, but recently, this was the second time she had done that.

The first time was getting married, and now this.

"One month is too long, you've already been married for four days. There's no point for you to do this. Do you think getting a divorce is that simple? "No! Lin family didn't raise me, it's you, mum, who raised me!"

"Okay, tonight when he comes back, I'll talk to him nicely. If it goes well, I'll let him sleep in my room, okay?"

On the other hand, Li Tian heard Su Xiao Yue's conversation over the phone. Although her voice was soft, Li Tian had sensitive hearing.

There was a familiar voice coming from the phone, but Li Tian couldn't determine who it was.

Since he couldn't hear properly, he decided to focus on driving.

During the ride, Su Xiao Yue made a few more phone calls. One of them was to someone she called "sister". Anyways, Li Tian didn't seem to know anyone she spoke to.

As the car passed by a traffic light, Li Tian suddenly hit the brakes. Su Xiao Yue wasn't paying attention and her body thrust forward. She subconsciously held Li Tian's hand to balance herself.

"Hey, what's the matter with your driving? Why did you suddenly brake!"

Su Xiao Yue exclaimed as she let go of his hand and fixed her hair.

"It's not that I wanted to stop abruptly, but the police is asking us to stop."

Li Tian pointed to the front where a police was signalling them to pull over. The police watched as their car pulled over and walked towards them.

Su Xiao Yue didn't have anything else to say, seeing that Li Tian had a reason for doing that.

That policeman walked to the side of the car and Li Tian rolled the window down.

At first glance, she was a beautiful policewoman. She was about a 9.5 out of 10, comparable to Su Xiao Yue.

She even had the same cold expression.

Darn it! Why are all the beautiful girls so cold? Don't tell me that menopause has been occuring much earlier for women now?

"Hello, please show me your driver's license."

Her voice is quite attractive, but what did she say?

Driver's license? Where would I get that kind of thing? Even my birth certificate was only done when I got back.

A few seconds had passed but Li Tian didn't respond whilst Su Xiao Yue who was sitting beside him was starting to feel anxious.

"What are you doing!? Quick, let her see your driver's license, or just tell her your license number, she can look it up!"

Su Xiao Yue felt very uneasy as she needed to get to the destination as soon as possible to settle the commotion.

"Umm..." Li Tian murmured.

"What? Quick, get it out! I want to be there within ten minutes! If not, things will get out of hand!"

"I... I forgot to tell you something... I can drive, but I don't have a license."
