Chapter 23

Something is not right about what is happening today. Allena is wondering how his son has just acted. She has so many questions now and it gives her a headache.

In the first scenario, when she called her son by first name, it made her son go insane and wild. She learned that she must not mention the name Xander as she doesn't want to see her son act strange.

And now, her son cannot even remember his first name. This is a disaster for her, she will have difficulty legalizing anything especially now Xander needs to sign a document after the plastic surgery operation.

Xander tried to remember his name but he could not do it anymore. His hands began to tremble until he mishandled the pen. He started to massage his head and he is eventually feeling the headache again.

"My son, what is happening?" Allena asked his son as she was now concerned.

Xander suddenly passed out in just a few seconds. He looks like a low battery that doesn't have enough energy.

"I think we need to fix anything before signing the documents. I can wait for the right time, the important for today is you can pay all the fees," Kim said.

Allena stops herself to get odd, she needs to be strong and calm in this situation.

"But how can I fix the problem?" Allena worried so much.

"You can talk to a lawyer. As far as I know, anyone can petition to change their name whatever the reason may it be."

"W-W-What? N-N-Name change? Oh god, why do I need to experience this?"

"That would be the only solution so that he can live back to normal. I have thoughts that may be the reason why your son reacted badly dealing with his name... I think he experienced a trauma. Or maybe, he must have a multiple personality, the sudden headache is one of the symptoms."

Allena's knee turned into jelly. She is expecting this. She is familiar with multiple personalities since this is one of the plots in television dramas. She imagined that Xander had a brutal, excruciating, traumatizing experience which turned to a sudden change of behavior from calm to furious.

"Oh god, please help me! I don't want to have a mentally ill son! Please heal him! God, please!" she burst into tears and sobbed until she kneeled on the floor.

Kim felt pity for her, her eyes began to water. "I hope my guts will not happen. I am sorry if you feel emotional about what I have just said."

Allena is speechless. After what she discovers in her son, she loses words. She doesn't know what to do, it looks like she is going to be insane thinking what would be the sudden changes of his son.

If Xander has a multiple personality, there is a possibility that Allena will see her son act opposite to his true attitude and mannerisms, and she is afraid of it. She is still lucky she was recognized by his son as a mother.

"I think I need to ask the doctor about the situation of my son. I cannot sleep if there are still questions in my mind that are still unanswered. My son is behaving bizarrely, I want to know the truth." Allena walked rushed out of the room and went to the room of the attending doctor.

After the doctor studied the medical experiences of Xander, he prepared the results to explain them to Allena.

"Mrs. Fuentabella," Dr. Yu called the name of Allena.

Allena did a sign of the cross and crossed her fingers. She is hoping that her son is just fine, she thinks that all his son did earlier was just a reaction after a traumatic experience. She is confident that her son is not mentally ill.

"So after the series of tests and careful observations, we formed a hypothesis that your son, Xander, might have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Your son was brutally physically and mentally tortured, his body is full of bruises and burns, and his legs were fractured. Those traumatizing experiences caused your son to critically have a mental illness," the doctor introduced the result.

"Symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder usually begin within 3 months of the traumatic event, but they sometimes emerge later. Your son is already three months staying here in the hospital, so my claim is valid. His mental illness will trigger if he is experiencing flashbacks resulting in physical symptoms such as a racing heart or sweating. And also if he is having recurring memories or dreams related to the events," he elaborated.

"As my nurse noticed that your son is easily getting irritated, and having angry outbursts, it implies that he is not okay."

Allena's hands eventually tremble and she is feeling nervous. She was shocked and overwhelmed by the explanations of the doctor. For her, this is a challenge as a mother as she needs to sacrifice everything just to care for her son.

Their conservation has just ended after the medications have been given. Finally, her questions are now answered, but she is unhappy.

One month later...

Hale is attending a conference regarding the work immersion to be conducted in their second semester. The time has come that she will meet his boss in an office. Sadly, he will not face Xander anymore as he is already dead.

While the guest speaker is telling her journey in career, he is just looking at the floor feeling depressed. His friend noticed that he was not paying attention.

"Hey, what is going on, my dear Hale?"

"The work immersion is now approaching and after this, we will be stationed in the offices. My future boss is already dead, my excitement is also dead."

"You mean, Xander?"

"Yes, he is."

"I thought that you already forgot him."

"I don't know what I am feeling today. I can't accept that he is gone, it still hurts."

Hale is still not aware that Xander is not dead. He was just missing after the incident but he is totally alive today. While he is longing for him, Xander is getting ready to go back to the company.

His parents prepared a sophisticated welcome for him. As the private plane arrived on their land, the orchestra started to play resounding music which activated the excitement of everyone to finally meet the CEO.

Xander walked on the red carpet and was escorted by his guards. He is wearing now a black suit and a classic magician's hat. Since his legs are not yet fully recovered, he is having a support with his white cane.

His employees pay respect to him, they bow while he is entering the grand entrance.

He wore a big smile and waved to them. He felt butterflies in his stomach. Even if he doesn't remember anything about this place, he still acts like a character. Thanks to his parents he has been orientated and guided.

The COO contacted the principal of the school where Hale was studying. He would to inform you that there is now a CEO in the company. Just after the welcome ceremony, the principal will meet the boss to settle the documents.

One week later...

"Good day, ABM students. I am glad that you are all present today and wearing your uniforms. I can't wait to introduce you to your boss for your work immersion. He is a business tycoon and a successful multimillionaire entrepreneur," the work immersion adviser introduced someone.

"Meet Harrison Fuentabella, let's give him a warm applause!"

Everybody clapped and the students stood up and greeted.

"Good day, ABM trainees. I am very excited to do an interview later. I heard that all of you have a potential. I was amazed at your innovativeness, bookkeeping skills, and critical thinking skills when I witnessed you all during your entrepreneurship final presentation," Harrison left a warm message.

Hale froze when he heard the voice of Harrison. He cannot stop to think deeply while analyzing the quality and definition of the speaker as it sounds familiar to him.

At first, he felt scared, and something he saw a ghost in front. He realized that the voice of Harrison is too similar to Xander's. Even their last name and physique are twins.

Because of this, he began to get interested in that CEO. He cannot explain why he feels comfortable and has a vibrant connection when he is directly looking at his eyes.

"Why are you acting like Xander? Why the shape of your arms, mannerisms, voice, and eye color are such a carbon copy of Xander? Who really are you?"

"Thank you for your inspiring message, Mr. Fuentabella."

"Today, you will now proceed to the interview. Enjoy your lunch, trainees."

The people here dispersed and went to the university canteen. But Hale just remained here in the classroom as he brought a lunch pack.

While he was eating, Harrison just patted his shoulders as he exited.

Hale felt electrified and warmth which he just only felt when Xander touched him.

"Why did I just feel the electricity from his hands? J-Just why?"
