Chapter Two Hundred and Sixty

Sarah POV

I can't believe that this lady scoffed at Ella when she referred to Max as her boyfriend and she even have the gut to utter "boyfriend my foot". She really have some gut really and Max quietness is really alarming cause I was expecting him to act but he is so quiet. I don't want to believe what my mind is suggesting to me that will prompted May to make that statement, I want to believe that Max really changed cause I don't know how to face my best friend cause I advise her to give him a chance. What do you mean by boyfriend my foot? Ella asked when she finally recover from her shock. 

Max quickly moved and held Ella hand and said to her, I think we should leave now. Yeah, I think that is a great idea, George quickly seconded. Their action just confirmed my suspicions, so this is what they have been hiding? So this is the business issue that came up? And to think that George hide such from me is really disappointing. I obeyed them cause I don't want to attract attention to ourselves, I signalled Ella to do as they suggested. We are about to leave the pool when her next word halted our movement, I felt like someone poured a cold water on me.

I can't believe what I just heard right now, so I have to ask her to repeat herself so that I can be sure that I heard her correctly. I said he is dragging her out of the pool cause he don't want her to know that while she is waiting for him in their room, he is somewhere else kissing another lady, May repeated her statement. Am really mad and at the same time disappointed at Max, I turned around and looked at Ella. I saw her with tears in her eyes, that really broke my eyes. I can't believe that I advise her to date someone that could not think twice without cheating on her.

I wanted to beat myself up right now but that is not the time for that yet, my best friend comes first. Ella removed her Max grip, Max tried to approach her but I stopped his movement. If I am you I will not take that step and I will appreciate it if you stay away from her, I warned him cause am ready to beat him up this instant. I don't think she really worth you so I will advice that you refrain from apologising to her and come to my room I will make you happy, you already know the number, May uttered. I have always hate this lady and she now give me reason to beat her up.

I walked back to where she stood blabbing and slapped her as hard as I can on her both cheeks, she wanted to react but George already carried me out of the pool. I asked him to drop me, he dropped me I turned to see Ella still standing in tears while refusing every attempt of Max to calm her down. I walked to her and hugged her. Why don't we go back to the room so that you can cry all you want, I told her. I don't want to stay in the same room with him, she told me. Of course we will stay in the same room while the two of them will stay in the other room, I told her.

George approached us and asked if there is anything he will do to help but I only glared at him without saying anything to him. Cause I am really mad at him for not telling me anything and also lied to me when I asked him about what is going on with Max.
