Chapter Two Hundred and Ninety One

Third Person POV

George met with his mother in her office where she told her that his uncle Steve is bent on finding Victor and he is using any means possible the whole thing is starting to affect the company financially cause he is exhausting a lot of money for this. George knows that his mother needs his help to talk to his uncle and if there is no good result, he will have no choice but force his uncle to resign from his position as the company the President. Mum, I heard all that you said but what do you want me to do? He asked cause he want his mother to contribute her thoughts. I need you to talk to him and see what his reaction will be when we can take it from there, Mrs Vincent told her son. 

Sure I will talk to him but I will like to have evidence of him spending money that belongs to the company on personal issues, George told his mother. Mrs Vincent called her assistant and asked her to gather all the files they have against Steve Vincent. The assistant left to get the file for her boss, after the assistant left Mrs Vincent turned to her son, George I have been meaning to ask you something, she started. George though surprised at the sudden turn of events decided to go along with his mother, cause he can sense that whatever his mother is about to say to him must be serious to her. Okay, what could that be? He asked his mother also urging her to go on. It's about Sarah, what are your plans for her? Mrs Vincent asked him. I don't understand what you mean by plans, care to elaborate on that, George said to his mother. Mrs Vincent knows that her son is aware of where she is getting at but he wants to play dumb. What I mean is, do you have any intention of making her your permanent partner? She clarified.

George smiled inside him, though he has plans to propose to Sarah when he thinks that the time is right for it cause he can't see himself being with another woman apart from Sarah but he is not going to tell his mother about it. Not yet cause he doesn't want to take the risk of his mother mistakenly spilling the whole thing to Sarah. No Mum, I have not given that a thought, to me I think it's too early to start thinking about forever, George said to his mother while patting himself on his back for being able to come up with such sound reason in such a short time. I don't understand how this generation does their own thing now but I will advise you that how long you stay in a relationship doesn't guarantee that you know everything about the person you are in a relationship with and also if you love someone I don't see anything that will be stopping you from making that person yours forever, if you are hesitating using duration as an excuse that means you are not sincere about your feelings for her, Mrs Vincent started trying to get on her son's nerves so that he can do the needful.

George was shocked at his mother's indirect accusation and there is no way he is letting that slide also there is no way he is going to fall into her trap cause he knows this is a trap, to get him to accept to propose to Sarah when he is not ready. Mum you and I know that I love Sarah very much, there is no need for you to try and make me feel like I am not sincere with her, be rest assured that I will do the needful when I am ready for it, George told his mother but she is not satisfied with his answer. What if when you are finally ready and she is no longer available for you? His mother asked him. That question hit George differently he knows that there is a possibility of that happening but he wants to believe in the love that has for each other. Mum, please don't say that Sarah loves me and I love her too, I believe that what will be will be and she is not disturbing yet, George said hoping that his mother will not say something negative again. I hope you know what you are doing, I hope you will not regret wasting time, His mother uttered.

Mum please I want you to have faith in me and Sarah, also pray for things to work out just fine and if this is any consolation, when I am ready you will be among the first people to know about it, George told his mother. Mrs Vincent looked at her son like he suddenly develop two heads, and what nonsense are you saying this time, consolation? Are you kidding me? Of course, I should be the first person you should tell that you want to get married, is not like you have any other parent alive apart from me. George smiled at his mother's adorable angry face, they were still talking when the assistant knocked and entered the office. Here are the files you required, she said and placed the files in front of Mrs Vincent. Are you sure that everything is inside here? She asked her to confirm. Yes, everything you requested is inside there, she said. Mrs Vincent dismissed her and pushed the files to her son when her assistant left. George picked up the files and started going through them, just looking at the figures is already making him go crazy, to him he doesn't see any need for keeping Steve in the company any longer.

Cause with the way the man is going, he is aiming to ruin the company and he will not sit back and watch that happen. This is ridiculous Mum and you want me to just talk to him, what that man deserves is to resign and I don't see how useful he is to the company rather he is pulling the company down, George said with gritted teeth. George you know he is your uncle and I can't kick him out of the company just like that, Mrs Vincent tried to find reasons with her son cause she is finding it difficult to kick her husband's only sibling out of the company. George can't believe that his mother will still talk like that after all the evidence before them. Mum, there is nothing like just like that here, Uncle Steve is ruining your husband's hard-earned legacies, your effort Mum and you are saying just like that. You know what Mum, I am going to talk to him like you suggested and if he did not give me enough reason to why he used the company money for his gain, I will force him to resign myself cause the last time I checked I am still one of the major shareholders in this company, George said and stormed out of his mother office with the files in his hand heading to Steve office.

Mrs Vincent knows there is nothing she can do to change her son's mind, once he takes a final decision. She also wants her son to be more involved with what is going on in their company, though she knew that he is running his own company but at the end of the day he will still merge them cause he is the one that is supposed to be in this office not her. She also wants to resign as soon as possible so that she can start preparing herself to be a grandmother, first by renovating some of the rooms in the mansion and turning them into children's rooms where her grandchildren will be staying whenever they will come and visit her. Which must be every week she will make sure of that.
