Chapter Thirty Nine

Third Person POV

George, Sarah and Max arrived at the restaurant,they sat down at the table that the waiter showed them George sitting beside Max while Sarah sat before them. George made sure there is no way Max will get close to Sarah.

After they are comfortably seated, the waiter approached them to take their order. Good afternoon lady and gentlemen, he courtesy while smiling, my name is Philip and I will be your waiter for today. Okay Philip I guess you are here to take our orders? Max asked. Yes sir here is the menu Philip handed one copy of the menu to each of them,I think we should start with drinks George suggested.

The waiter gave them the menu for their drinks,after going through it for some minutes,they finally ordered. George ordered Raywood red wine,Max ordered Trivento red wine while Sarah ordered bluemoon white wine. The waiter left them with the food menu to get their drinks so that when he comes back they would have already made up their mind on what they want to eat. 

Immediately the waiter Left Max turned his attention to Sarah totally ignored his best friend George. Hey Sarah,hope you don't mind me calling you Sarah cause I hate all those formality Max said smiling brightly. I don't mind at all Sarah assured him, Sarah is only trying to be nice to Max because this guy is her boss best fried and also helping her boss to solve her problem because she is getting the Playboy vibes from him and also the way he looks at her like he is ready to devour her,she don't like it one bit but have to pretend so that the lunch will go smoothly.

Max started talking about himself George arched his eyebrows up and was wondering what this guy is up to this time. Max stopped talking about himself when he noticed that Sarah does not have any interest in what he is saying because she was busy looking at her phone,maybe it's too early to tell her about myself he muttered to himself.

Max immediately diverted to commending Sarah, I must commend you on what you did, how you chosed not to betray my brother here but decided to come clean to him, that's so brave of you. 

Thanks so much for the compliment but my Boss here is the one trying to save me even if he has no reason to do so and you too thank you so much for helping him to solve my problem Sarah said while smiling showing how grateful she is towards them. That's okay,you don't need to thank me that's what best friends are for Max replied.

While their conversation was going Max was able to make Sarah laugh two or three times, George on his own part is obviously angry because this lunch is supposed to be between him and Sarah but Max decided to tag along and since they arrived here none of them have talked to him,more like he is a ghost because Sarah and Max are busy entertaining each other.
