Chapter One Hundred and Four

George POV

When Sarah called in sick this morning I couldn't stay still cause am so worried,I don't know if there is anyone there to take care of her cause am sure her mother is already at her shop,while her brother and best friend is not around. I don't have anything much to do in the office so I decided to visit her and know how she is doing. I visited Sarah but to my surprise her mother is around I guess the soup I came with is not really necessary because am sure her mother already attended to her.

Sarah's mother welcome me warmly and directed me to her daughter's room when I told her  the reason why am here. I entered Sarah's room after she invited me inside, she was surprised to see me cause I can clearly see the surprise on her face. But what really surprised me is when she hugged after I explained to her the reason why am here. At first I was surprised that she hugged out of nowhere so I was not able to reciprocate the hug,I was able to gather myself when I felt her detaching herself from me with a downcast look,I hugged her back immediately cause I don't like the look on her face.

We disentangle ourselves not too long Sarah's mother barged into her room,am surprised to see her barged into her room like that but what surprised me is that Sarah seemed not to mind her action. She was looking at us suspiciously but I pretend not to be affected by her gaze. She left after Sarah answered all her question. After her mother left Sarah picked the bowl of soup that I brought with me and started gulping it down. I was so happy to see her drinking the soup,this only get to show that she appreciate my effort.

I was chatting with her when my phone rang and it was a call from Rose. She asked me to comeback to the company that she have something important to tell me,I was sad that I have to leave her but I have no other choice but to leave cause whatever Rose have to tell have to do with how to help my mother out,if am sure that I don't want to marry Claire. I explained to her that I have to leave which she understood. I left and headed straight to my company ,I arrived at my company and walked inside to see Rose standing in front of her desk indicating that she is waiting for me.

I walked inside my office and gestured for her to follow me. We sat down and Rose started talking immediately. George I noticed that Sarah is not in her office or anywhere in the company, Do you sent her anywhere? Rose asked. I know they are close to each other so I understand why she is asking after her. No  I did not sent her anywhere, sh3 called in sick this morning I answered her. Oh that's sad I hope she get better, since I don't know her place I would have visit her but akk I have to do now is to pray for her,She said giving that meaningful look but I ignored it.

Aunty Rose what is the important thing you want to discuss with me? I asked her in order to divert her attention from Sarah. Oh yeah that's true I have something important to discuss with you and it is about what we discussed yesterday,she answered. That piqued my interest I sat up immediately, What about it? Is it negative or positive? I asked her anxiously. It will be positive depends on how we handle it she said. How do you mean? I asked.

You are aware that neither you nor your mother or your best friend will be the ones to buy the shares cause I just came back from my investigation and it turned out that the shares is still for sale and with that shares your mother position as the chairman of the company will not be questioned, Aunty Rose explained. Well that have already cross my mind but I don't know who I will use to buy the shares and if you have any candidate in mind don't hesitate to tell me,I told her. Am thinking of using Sarah to buy the shares, you know she is new in the company and no one knew her,so I think she is the best candidate, Aunty Rose suggested.

Wow this woman is a genius Sarah never crossed my mind that's why the saying goes two heads is better than one and yes Sarah is the best candidate. What you suggested is not a bad idea but we have to wait until Sarah gets better cause as it stands now her health is very important, I uttered. I scolded myself when what I just said now sank in,I just pray Aunty Rose will not read any meaning to it. Of course we will wait for her to get better first cause she need to look and sound convincing of someone that can afford to buy shares,I just pray she get well soon,Aunty Rose sighed and slumped her shoulder.

She is already getting better,I blurted out but quickly covered it up when I saw Aunty Rose looking at me suspiciously, I mean I can feel it that she is getting better I said trying to cover my utterance. Okay if you say so and before I forget Where were you when I couldn't find you in the company? She asked. How could I forgot of course she will like to know where I was. I went to Max company he called for my help and since I don't have much to do in the office I decided to go and help him out,I answered patting myself at the back for coming up with such brilliant lie.

Okay I thought you went to visit the lady that you are in love with, which am not against but since it's about your best friend I don't see anything bad there,Aunty Rose said. She left my office after our discussion. I called Max and informed him of the recent development which he opted to be the one in charge of changing Sarah wardrobe so that she can look the part but I gently reject his suggestion telling him that Aunty Rose will be the best candidate for that. 

Claire POV

After I visited George and he treated me the way he did but that didn't dampened my spirit rather it made me to be more eager to make him mine. I called my father to know the outcome of his visit to George's mother and what he told me did not sit well with me cause am wondering why she will not accept the proposal immediately, I thought she is a good business woman.

I guess I overestimated her. But my father convinced me that he have everything under control that I should not worry and focus on getting George to my side. I don't care what my father have to do to get George to be mine all I want is a positive result at the end of the day. I have a wonderful plan in my head which I know if I successfully execute it that I will be the one to have the last laugh.

Sarah POV

Mum I don't think I need anything now all I need now is adequate rest I told her, Am not here to check on you rather am here becauseI have an important question that have been bothering me my mother said. What is that? I asked her. What is the exact relationship between you and your boss? My mother asked. I know she will ask that question especially now that my boss visited me while am sick. 

Umm there is nothing going on between us apart from work relationship I answered her. And you expect me to believe that? My mother asked, listen Sarah if there is anything going on between you two,you let me know I won't judge you I promise and more over am your mother and I should be your best friend my mother pouted. There goes her childish attitude and with my mother question I can feel my headache coming back,I decided to answer her so that she will stop pestering me. Okay I like him romantically but I don't know about him I answered. There is nothing else to know is obvious that he like you ad well take today for instance my mother said.

Okay Mum if you say so and I think his visit today kind of convinced me there is a possibility that he like me as well,I said while covering my self with the blanket cause I don't like the teasing look my mother is giving me. My! My! somebody is blushing,I suggest you two should confess to each other already so that you will give me a grand child,My mother said. Mum! Leave my room please I want to rest I told her cause am really embarrassed. She giggled and slam the door indicating that she left.
