Chapter Ninety-Eight

Sarah POV

I still can't get the look on my boss face when he walked into my office am so confuse now,if am not mistaken the look on his face is nothing but pure anger. But why is he angry I can't remember doing anything wrong or he don't like the fact that Max was in my office, wait is he jealous. Nah nah that is impossible there is no way he will be jealous.

I was still musing over my thoughts when Ella voice interrupted it,Sarah!!! What the hell are you thinking about that you can't hear me calling you? Ella questioned more like screamed looking at me fiercely. Oh please stop giving me that look like I snatched your favorite candy from you I said trying to deflect Ella glare. Well I have been calling you for a while now but you did not answer me Ella explained. Sorry I was lost in my thoughts I tried to explain. Ella raised her brow and looked at me but she smiled immediately and I don't like that smile one bit.

Don't tell me Sarah that you are thinking about your boss, oh my God!!! I can't believe that my best friend have fallen for her boss this deep Ella exclaimed. Jeeez Ella stop this nonsense already, I accept already that I like my boss but everything should not be about him I scolded Ella. Okay am sorry so tell me what really got in a deep thought? Ella questioned. It's my boss I answered, immediately I answered her. Ella gave me that smile that screams I know it!!. But not in the manner you are thinking Ella this can cost my job.

Ella stopped teasing me when she heard what I just said, What do you mean by cost your job? What did you do? I thought you two are now good to the extent you developed feelings for each other So what are you talking about? Ella bombarded me with questions. I told Ella what happened in the office today when I finish my story Ella that have anxious look some minutes ago now look so relaxed and was even smiling. Why are you smiling Ella don't you see how serious this issue is? I asked her.

At first I thought is something serious Ella said, what nonsense are you talking about? Do you mean to tell me that my boss been visibly mad at me is not something serious? I questioned her. Sarah don't get too excited over nothing your boss is not mad at you rather he is jealous Ella explained. Jealous? I asked, yes he is jealous cause he walked into your office to see his best friend who have a bad reputation with women in your office with your hands on top of his what do you expect him to think I mean how do you expect him to feel? Ella questioned

The thought that maybe he is jealous crossed my mind before but I waved it away cause am still not convince that he like me. But now Ella said it, it seem more believable, Are you sure Ella? I asked her. Listen I know you are still doubting whether he like you or not, I won't try to convince you cause the only person that can convince you that he like you is your boss himself but for now do not fret over nothing your boss will not fire you if that what you are afraid of he is just jealous Ella assured me.

Talking to Ella eased my mind a little, I look forward to tomorrow to see what my boss action will be. His action will determine if my work is safe or not.

The next day I arrived at the company and picked up my boss schedule, I rushed to his office to read out his schedule to him cause am eager to know what his reaction will be when he see me. I knocked and entered his office, he is seated on his seat like a king he is,I smiled in my heart while I admired him sitting in all his handsome glory. Good morning Boss I greeted, He raised his head and smiled at me,Good morning Sarah How was your night? He asked. He smiled at me he really smiled at me,am already jumping in my heart God that's means that my job is safe cause that's what really important now.

My night was OK boss and yours? I asked to return the courtesy, it was okay thanks for asking he said still smiling. My heart is really beating fast the damn thing can't control itself. I gathered courage and compliment his tie cause I noticed he wore it again, Boss the tie look good on you I really did not expect you to wear them I said shyly.

Why not? He asked, come on boss you and I know that those tie are not from any brand they are not what you used to wear I answered. It doesn't matter is a gift and most especially a gift from one of my best worker he said smiling. Okay if you say so actually am here to to inform you of your schedule today I told him. Okay all ears He encouraged me to go on.

I read out his schedule and left his office after,I was so disappointed with what he just said, am nothing but one of his best worker, it really hurt to hear that but I think am to be blame here I allowed what others told me to get to me and made me believe there is a possibility that he like me. I walked to my office to get myself together before someone will see me here looking so lost. Two hours later I have nothing to do in my office cause my boss decided to handle the work by himself that if he need me he will call for me,I decided to see Rose to know if there is any available gossip.
