Chapter Four Hundred and Eleven

Third Person POV

Melvin is so happy with the progress of his casino and things started moving smoothly for him after Steve invested that huge amount of money in his casino. But his joy know no bounds when his family called and tell him that they are coming to see him, his family stopped talking to him after he failed to win the competition and this is the first time they are calling him after many months. I think they heard about the progress of my casino and they want to see me, Melvin mused. Melvin did not tell his wife about his family coming to visit cause they instruct him not to tell her and he know that although his wife has changed her temper is still the same and his family are the least of her favourite people.

They scheduled to meet at a restaurant, Melvin lied to his wife that he want to meet some friends, which Anna accepted as the true cause her husband never lied to her, that is why she is not doubting him. Melvin arrived at the restaurant and saw his parents and elder brother seated at a table, he approached them all smiles, he can't even hide his happiness. His family, on the other hand, is happy to see their son in one piece and they regret turning their back on him. They know that they are the ones that pushed him to study architecture when they know that he has zero ideas about it and when he failed they turned their back on them.

They intend to right their wrongs and they will start with separating him from that snake he is staying with, only if he will listen to them. Melvin greeted his family with a smile on his face, Good afternoon Dad and Mum, Hey bro, he shook hands with his brother. His family respond to him in that same happy tone. It's nice to hear from you guys and see you all after many months, he said to them. His father signals others to keep quiet and that he will talk to him. I am happy to see you too son and I will start by saying we are sorry for turning our backs on you and we are here to right our wrong, His father said to him. 

That's okay Dad, mum and Kelvin, am not mad at you guys I am grateful to you guys for making me the man I am today, Melvin appreciated his family to their surprise. This gives them more reason to save their son from Anna. Son, there is something we will like to show you, believe me, we did go about investigating your wife, we just happened to stumble on it, His father told him while handing an envelope to him. Melvin don't know what to make of the envelope but he still took it from his father and opened it to see what is inside. Colour drained from his face when he saw the content of the letter, he won't want to believe what his eyes are seeing right now.

Where did you get this? He asked them in a stern voice. We decided to clean up your room that you stayed with Anna when the two of you were dating, that was when our mother saw this, His brother answered him. Listen, son, I know that this is too much to take in but I want you to think about it very well before taking any action and you should remember that this is your life, whatever decision you will take regards to this issue you will bear it forever, his mother advised him. Melvin doesn't know what to believe now, the only thing on his mind is to see his wife and find out the truth.
