Chapter Forty Two

Sarah POV

The lunch went well but am not satisfied cause my initial plan is to have lunch with only my boss but his best friend decided to tagged along who am I to say no to my boss best friend. I have been sulking in my office over my disappointment with the lunch when I decided to see Rose and ask her something that have been bothering me for a while now. 

I headed to Rose office, hi Rose I greeted, Sarah what an unexpected visit it's been ages Rose joked feigned to be surprise to see me. Haha! Haha! Ages but we saw each other three hours ago I said while smiling. Rose and I got really close now after I told her about my problem with Evans. So why are you here? Don't tell me you are here to gossip Rose asked, I quickly responded to Rose no am not here for gossip just that something have been bothering me.

What could that be? Rose asked sitting up indicating that she is now interested in what am about to say. Just that I have been wondering we are in Christmas period but nothing is indicating that in this company, I mean decorating the company and preparation for Christmas party because I know other companies are doing this now I said.

Sarah you are aware that there is a competition around the corner and I don't think anyone have the time for party now Rose responded with a sad smile on her face indicating that she herself will like to have a Christmas party and the company decorated. After two minutes of silent I decided to voice out what's on my mind,I know we will not be able to hold a Christmas party because of the competition but we can still decorate the company it will not take much time, I suggested not ready to give up yet.

I understood all that Sarah but you see am not the right person you should be telling this,the person you should be talking to is our boss he is the one that shut down any form of celebration in the company after what Anna did to him,Rose informed me.

Hmmm this is going to be difficult, how will I be able to convince him to change his mind, I know we are now close but I don't want to abuse that privilege. I think I should give up on the idea ,let's celebrate our Christmas like we are mourning I said while laughing at Rose facial expression.

I got back to my office I sat down to continue working on the file I was assigned to work on,when my office phone started ringing. I already know that my boss is the one on the other line,I quickly picked the call and placed the phone on my ear, meet me at the parking lot in five minutes we are going for a meeting he said and cut the line immediately without allowing me to talk.
