The next morning, Qiao Yin went to work as usual.
The charity auction was scheduled for the 31st of May. The funds raised would be donated entirely to impoverished children on Children's Day, the 1st of June, helping them to recover from illnesses and fund their education.
Thus, everyone was too busy to rest, weary and sore from the effort.
After lunch, Qiao Yin overheard conversations among her colleagues.
"Zheng, how are you back to work so soon? Has your back injury healed?"
"Yes, it's all good now."
"Which hospital did you go to? Wasn't it mentioned before that you would need a month to recover? It's only been a few days, though?"
"Initially, I went to the city hospital, but my back still hurt and the medication wasn't helping. So, I decided to go to Lan's Hospital. It's a renowned private hospital; it was expensive, but the doctors were incredible. They prescribed me a pill that relieved my back pain; I recovered in just a few days!"
