Endless Dreams

*Luna's POV*

It is past my bedtime but I am fighting myself to sleep. Closing my eyes would mean going into the deepest abyss of my dreams again. I am not terrified of the dream alone but the feelings it awakened in me...

Whenever I am in my dreams, I felt as if I belong... as if that is where I meant to be... as if somewhere that is my reality... I am afraid that I... I would not want to ever wake up again...

Luna cannot control her drowsiness anymore and her eyes started to close even if she wanted to stay awake. Deeper and deeper she went on and on, drifting her spirit to the dreamland not a care in the world.

"I am waiting for you..."

A warm voice... a deep soothing voice...

she opened her eyes and look around and see herself not in her bedroom once more. She stood up and there she is in the pathway as to where trees are everywhere and the feeling was so familliar. Luna looked back but only saw darkness, she stood there and look at the path to where in her previous dreams, seems endless. Not knowing either to walk to see the end of the pathway or stood still to where she was until she wakes up... Luna started to walk towards the pathway though she did not know where it leads to, without enough courage to do so, she goes deeper and deeper, she felt something will happen that is different from her previous dreams.

As she goes deeper and deeper into the woods she felt more familliar senses... She found a bridge and a river streaming beneath it... That's new because in her previous dreams she went on and on walking and nothing happened... but now, she saw scenes of two child talking in the bridge, the girl is in tears and the boy is looking away...

"What's the matter?", Luna asked, but no one seems to hear her, as if she is a ghost. The boy let go of the girl's hand and run further the pathway, the girl just cried while lookikkkng at the moon until she disappears.

Luna was startled... "Is it a ghost? Why is that scene seems familiar?" She thought she would wake up soon but she continued to be in the dream.

Luna continued on her way... then she startled when she saw a huge rusty gate, and the whole thing looked like a giant wall of bushes.. on the each side of the gate were two huge fountain that has angels and a flowing water. She felt shivers run down her spine and feel like her head spinning.

"I... I cannot be mistaken. I have seen this place before... but where?" She felt her head starting to hurt and her heartbeat is so fast that it hurts.

"...You are mine..."

Luna woke up, she gasp for air as the sweat dripped down her frightened face. She hugged herself, started to rock like a baby in a cradle.

*Luna's POV*

I'm glad I was able to woke up, but I felt like I am very near to the answer that I was looking for. I don't know where will this dream led me but I feel like I forgot something that is very important. Those two child in my dream, something is very familiar with them, are they ghost? Somehow, when I am in my dream, I felt like I belong...

"What am I going to do?" Luna started to calm a little bit. It is still dark outside, she gaze upon the clock and it is still 3:15am. She must go back to sleep. Thank God it's saturday and she don't have school. She is in her senior year in High School. She cannot focus anyways because of her unnerving dreams or nightmares as she should say.

When does the dream started...

It was when the accident happened 3 months ago, A drunk driver hit her mother who was walking her way to her second job at the 24 hour fast food chain. She remembered that day, she begged her mom to stay home, she have a fever, but her mom did not listen, her mom (Melissa Serafica) was a workaholic.

She will never took her day off since her father (Ivan Costalles) died. Her dad died on a heart failure when she was 5 years old according to her mother, she was so young then she could not remember clearly... but she remembered that they used to rescue animals that harmed by people or any other animal, all of that stopped when her father died.

The man who killed her mother was never found, technology is so slow in their place since it is a province. Now she live there all by herself, luckily, her parents leave her with savings that can be enough to last her until she found a decent job and finish her studies. In the Philippines, good Education is one of the factors for survival. She was still lucky her parents provide for her shelter and leave everything to her or else it would be hard to get by.

Luna grab a bottled water on her side table and drink it to calm herself, then laid back to her bed and tried to sleep again. Praying that the nightmares would not bother her again.
