Hugo

I knew what I was going to do now was out of place. I had discussed this with Finn but now what we had discussed could become a reality. I write the note and place it on the glass table in the living room. I leave with my luggage with me. Finn was waiting for me, his mother was going to take us to Seattle where we were going to spend the next few years. We found an apartment and we will be roommates. I had to move there. That's where I wanted to go to college, that's where I wanted to live for the duration of college. Finn had to overcome his fear of going there because he was afraid that if he went to Seattle something would happen. I knew that not telling my parents could be harmful, but I was no longer interested in what they will say. I put my luggage in the trunk, get in the car and we go.

Darren

I was exhausted after the whole thing with Aaron or Lovely, I don't even know what else to say. I go to the living room, I had a cold beer in my hand, fresh from the fridge. I look for the remote and fix my eyes on a piece of paper. I take it and read out of curiosity.

"Dear parents, the person who wrote you this note is your son, Hugo. I want to start by saying I'm sorry, I'm sorry I allowed myself to be so insensitive as to even write this. I don't even know how to start. I moved to Seattle with my best friend, Finneas. I will study medicine there. I promise that I will visit you soon, but right now I have to focus on myself because a lot has happened in my life. I love you, signed, Hugo."

The second note was still on the table, untouched and neatly tucked away. It was written big on the ticket.

"For Darren"

"Darren. I don't even know what to tell you. To begin with I would like to say that even though you were always a pain in the ass, I really liked you, at times you were a good person."

He didn't even sign, typical Hugo behaviour .
