Chapter 12-All Fun and Games

On my knees, I throw my arms in front of my face, dodging her kick. I stand up quickly and try kicking her in the head! She blocks it with her arm.

I stand and rub my arm. Her kicks are powerful, and I will surely be bruised in the morning.

I am out of breath! I have been doing this for an hour and still haven't landed a single blow.

She laughs as she jumps on top of a wooden crate, doing a black flip off it. I kneel, punching the back of her legs but miss. Landing perfectly and turning to me quickly, she comes towards me, throwing more punches.

I step to the left and then to the right, dodging them. She spins around and tries to backhand me, but I duck, narrowly getting hit!

"Geez!" I yell. "That was almost my face!"

The door opens to the room, and I see a moment of hope with my distracted opponent. Still, on my knees, I put my hands on the floor and kicked her feet from underneath her. She falls back hard!

She looks around and exhales, doing a kick-to-stand.
