Developing 1970 (5)

Taisha rode on a double-decker bus with Nancy. The bus was mostly occupied by high-class men in the front and other low-class workers in the back.

As she and Nancy got out the bus reaching their destination, she saw streets full of people wearing clothes she had only seen in magazines.

"Don't stare too much, dear." Nancy said before squeezing her hand.

Taisha who was just Tier 0 found it hard to do anything in front of a Tier 4 Predator.  

Taisha quietly walked with Nancy into a fancy restaurant, a woman and a 'boy' child walking in such a fancy place somehow didn't arouse much suspicion as they wore relatively good clothes.

She watched as Nancy wrote something on a napkin about some 'Information Guild' while handing it to the waiter. 

Before leaving, she found that Nancy had privately handed the waiter some cash while the waiter handed her an envelope.

Nancy and Taisha walked out of the restaurant when Nancy suddenly turned her head and said:

"That was a member of one of the Deathians Information Guild~ You can go to him if you want information later~ But remember you need to pay to take~."

Taisha smiled and nodded her head as if she understood. But, who the hell were Deathians? It wasn't like she could ask like a newbie.

Nancy looked around suddenly grabbing Taisha's hand and running towards a certain bus.

"Take us to the Night City, Driver." Nancy said, giving the driver the piece of envelope.

A frown appeared on the driver's face as he tore the paper into pieces: "Sit in the back, it will be a long ride."

Taisha concluded from the driver's reaction that the Night City wasn't a good place. Probably a place filled with 'bad guys'.

After passing through six bus stops leaving just her and Nancy on the bus, they finally reached a gloomy bus station.

All the buildings in this alley were either gloomy or guarded by muscle men. The sound of their shoes intertwined with the silent atmosphere making Taisha's spine shiver.

There were a lot of bats hanging upside down near the shady buildings. This was Night City, her second mission's execution platform.

Nancy who was walking behind Taisha suddenly disappeared, the first phase of 'Killing an Agent' was in action!

Taisha immediately removed her good-looking clothes, revealing her guise. She was disguising as a beggar.

 .....

After a few minutes of roaming the Night City, she finally heard Nancy over her earpiece. 

"Location locked, the team will attack in five minutes."

Nancy had given her this earpiece before leaving the Motel, if she had to guess, the more she leveled up, the more chances of her being able to bring items from other worlds.

Taisha moved closer to the opposite building slowly taking the matches out of her pocket.

With the passing of four minutes, a flick of fire shone in the dark gloomy alley flying towards a certain building.

The building was bright..it wasn't the lights being on, but that it was on fire. A fire that didnt even require oil.

Taisha once again marveled on those Predator's items. She now had to just wait.

.....

An hour later, 

Taisha walked calmly navigating in the burnt building to one of the rooms on the fifth floor. Three people were talking, a man and two women namely Robin and Nancy.

"Called the kid? She should know that the task is only completed after seeing the dead body~."

"I didn't think you would care so much about that kid, Nancy, come on we need to get out of here!" The man said before jumping out the window.

"Let's go, the child's tier one, it's her fault if she's so slow." Robin said, making the unhappy Nancy sigh and follow her out the window as well.

Taisha quietly listened to their conversation out the door, as soon as the noises in the room quieted down, she decided to move.

She slowly took out her dagger from her waist, carefully opening the almost burnt door. 

As she looked around, a corpse without a head laid in front. Instead of the classic blood wetting the floor, silver wires sparked out of the corpse's neck.

At this moment, The Ancient City sent her a notification.

[Your Mission 'Assist killing an Agent' is completed...]

[Your ability 'Dragon's gluttony' is triggered…]

[Eat body of Matrix Agent Thompson, Yes/No.] 

Taisha chose 'Yes', causing her to hastily move towards the corpse in front of her.

After Taisha arrived beside the corpse, she slowly raised its mechanical arms to her mouth, chopping down.

"Chomp.."

…..

Before Taisha could comprehend what took over her, she closed her eyes and appeared to enjoy eating every piece of the dead Agent's wired-filled body. 

After finishing the last piece, the corpse's head. Taisha immediately came out of the intense feeling of hunger.

This is the first time for Taisha to eat someone for their ability, needless to say, she enjoyed the feeling. 

The AC system didn't show such notification either times when she killed Trinity's father or the garbage truck man. It concluded one thing, her hunger was only directed towards the strong's corpses..

Before Taisha could dwell any longer, a shout awakened her from her thoughts.

"What the fuck are you, monster!"

The last member of the 'temporary team' had appeared, a teenage man- the one responsible for maintaining an eye on the other Agents. He was here to take his reward- but...she had already eaten it.

Taisha's hand raised in a throwing motion, before the man could understand what was going on.

The slightly sharp red dagger whirled twice in the air entering the man's head at a fast speed.

"Pooch."

Blood splattered on the walls of the burning building as the shocked limp body of the man fell to the floor.

.....

As Taisha ran out of the burning building, she swiftly wore her 'good clothes' fleeing the gloomy Night City.

Stepping on the desolate street, she found the bus again, without any nonsense, Taisha immediately sat at the last seat on the bus.

She finally had time to see the new notifications given by AC.

[Agent has killed Tasker 53802...]
