Chapter 6: Secret and Shock

"Why did you want to venture into this kind of business?"

Zack anticipated this question. He had once faced it when he want to start his business overseas. This is his father's habit of needing proof that the future business will be profitable.

So, with a serious face, he took out all the documents that he had prepared before.

"This is the data that I had researched when I am at England. There are also some data that I got from the Bureau."

Zack said while giving the documents to Richard. Richard takes them and read through the documents. Theresa sitting beside her also read the documents together.

"As you can see from these chart, the ability users and dungeons had increased in a same manner. Also, the dungeon difficulty had also started to rise."

"What I inferred here is that by the end of this year, the ability users would increased to reach 50% of world's population. Right now, there are about 50 dungeons all over the world. By the end of the year, they would rise to 60. S-Class dungeons right now occupies 5% of the total dungeons. It would rise to 10% next."

"What I want to point here is the ability users will not be rare anymore in the near future. Meanwhile, the dungeon will become increasingly difficult to be clear."

"So, I want to take the chances to cultivate our family own army of ability users by using the Guild."

Richard fell into deep contemplation. He is considering the pros and cons of the matter. Although what Zack said makes sense, but there are loopholes with his suggestion.

"How will you be sure that the ability users will be loyal to the family?"

Zack saw this question coming. With a relaxed posture, he answered.

"I will personally interview them. I don't want the Guild to become just a raiding team. I want all of their members to treat each others as if they are a family."

"Although, there is still a chance that they would leave the Guild for others, but I still have measures for that."

Richard could see his own son's determination to take the risk to venture into this business. So, he just nodded to approve of the idea.

"So, how do you plan to cultivate the ability users? There are not many A-Class or S-Class ability users right now. Even if there are any, they would be snatched by the big guilds." Richard stated.

"You don't need to worry about that. I plan to recruit ability users from D-Class, C-Class or B-Class. Then, I would supply them with mana stones."

Richard notice the loopholes in what his son said. With a confused expression, he quickly state what he thought.

"But that would make your investments increase more. Mana stones price is relatively high since it is rare. Your loss will exceed your profit."

Zack knew what his father had stated. With a determined expression, he said.

"Truth is there is another thing that I want you guys to know."

Richard and Theresa could see what Zack want to said. He wants to tell them his secret. So, they also prepare themselves to hear what he will say.

"I actually could have unlimited supply of mana stones. It is one of my ability. You see here."

Zack point out to his hand and pull out a mana stone from the storage, then put it onto the table. Then, he pulled out another one that had an exact appearances as one before.

Richard and Theresa were shocked with what had been display before their eyes. Both of them quickly took the mana stones into their hand and compare both of them together. What they found is surprising since everything is the same.

Zack saw that both his mother and father took the mana stones, so he pull out another one and put it onto the table.

"My God, this is amazing!" Richard exclaim.

Theresa just nodded along with a cool face but her eyes betray her expression. Zack saw their shocked expression, so he added.

"Actually, that is an S-Class mana stones. I have another A-Class, B-Class and so on...."

Along with his speech, he pull out another mana stones and put them all onto the table, along with their classification.

This time, Richard and Theresa could not hold their shock and exclaim together.

"My God! Mana stones had classifications!?"

Of course they are shock, since no one even said about any classifications of mana stone. The truth is only Zack that know about this classification.

Everyone thought that mana stones is the same. This was due to the quantity of the mana in it is the same. What they didn't know is the quality is different. S-Class Mana Stone had a very pure mana and the rate of absorption is 100%.

The lower the quality, the lower the rate of absorption. What the public thought was the rate of absorption depends on the luck. They thought that absorbing the mana in the stone is the same as gambling.

Although he knew about this knowledge, but he didn't tell it was because he didn't want the price to increase anymore. If the price increase, the weaker and poor ability user could not use them, while the stronger and rich would got them.

So, the strong become stronger while the weak become weaker. He wanted everyone who got the mana stones to have equal chances. But, right now, he is ready to release this knowledge when he start his Guild business.

"When I start the Guild business, I plan to sell this mana stones according to their classification. But I won't sell them too much. Though, I will gradually increase the quantity as time comes."

"Since the price of the mana stones right now is 200,000 USD, I would set that price for S-Class mana stones. 100,000 for A-Class, 50,000 for B-Class, 10,000 for C-Class, 5,000 for D-Class and 1,000 for E-Class."

"Also, I plan to sell weapons and equipments that I had made myself to the public. I would show you the example tomorrow since I haven't made them yet. But, every weapon and equipment is enchanted with special power."

"The price will be set according to the weapon and equipment enchanted ability. So, I can't tell you the specific price now since I didn't had them."

Zack explain with full of confidence. Richard and Theresa just smile when they saw Zack like this. As a parents, in their heart, they are very proud that they manage to raise to become an excellent adult that he is now.

"I see you had thought about this very thoroughly. I will support you with anything that I can." Richard said.

"Me too. If you need anything, don't hesitate to tell your mother. I would do anything in my power to help you." Theresa add.

"Thank you, Mom and Dad. Then, I will excuse myself to bed."

Zack then get up from his seat and head for his bedroom. Just when he are at the door of the living room, Theresa and Richard call him. He turn his head to them.

"We are very proud of you."

Zack just smile and continue to head to his bedroom. Along the way, tears drip on his cheeks.

"I really am glad to be born into this family."
