Vikram woke up startled from a nightmare. His throat was dry and his eyes were wide. What the hell? Immediately reaching for the water on the bedside table, he gulped greedily and rested back against the pillows. A bad feeling holes in his chest. The nightmare was about Tara and a terrible accident. That girl was slowly sneaking under his flesh.
Without even trying, she was making him feel again. Feel for her. Vikram rubs the base of his neck and checks the time. It was already 7 in the morning. Taking that as the cue, he freshened up and decided to check on Akira. For some reason, she looked stressed out last night and when he inquired, she quickly brushed it away, mumbling work issues. Vikram knows she was lying but decided to play along and tried not to break the safe bubble, which she fails to maintain miserably in his presence.
