Mushoku Tensei: The Beginning After Twice.

A fancy Sociopath transmigrated as Rudeus Greyrat. This story is, I would consider to be extremely fucked up. Not Mature, Fucked up. It will deal with, "what would happen if he was," or "if it was unfolded thus." The MC is not going to be overpowered like other fanfic you might have associated yourself with. The MC is a thoroughly garbage human being like the nameless Man, he is a Manipulative, R-Wordist(past tense), Machiavellian, Narcissistic, Egotistical, he is a different kind of garbage. He is on his journey to find out why you should not do even if you can. It will be in your discretion to decide who is worse between OG and This MC. Be aware, Slow Paced Characterization. So I would not recommend if you can't deal with SoL scenes. Note: I don't condone what the MC does, I wrote it because it sounds fucked up to me. Again, I don't condone any bad things he does, keep fiction as fiction, don't use the decision of the MC to start an argument or what not. The aim here is how this morally and psychologically F*cked up protagonist evolve to become a functioning human. Note: Ignore the grammatical errors as english is not my first language.

Chapter 8: The Normal Things.

A week has quickly passed by since I first decided to dabbed into magic, and naturally, I come to figure out some very interesting things.

First, as I have already pronounce, the incantation part of the magic is not an absolute necessity, though it is necessary to learn the art itself.

This may sound convoluted, but I have already come up with multiple hypothesis, which are already half proven by my humble self.

The theory I came up with is that, incantation is a branch of self suggestion.

To dumb it down, I have to question, have you heard of the Watson's experiment with little Albert?

I would guess not, because I already assumed, you dear reader, are a neurotypical imbecile.

Since I am such a magnanimous man, I shall inform you myself, this experiment, so to speak—is one of the classical conditioning.

Since you obviously have no idea what this experiment is about, I shall dumb it down further so that by some miracles, you may come to learn how it works, hopefully that is.

Going back to the incantation thing, it is more similar to call it self conditioning rather than incantation.

Let's for example seperate a monkey from its mother, and since I am in the mood, I shall grant him a name and call it Archprogenitor.

Hmm, on second thought, I believe that is too long for my comfort, and because it caused my discomfort, I will change its name to Little Jeremy.

Returning to the topic at hand, for this experiment, let's say we designated a certain group of people to beat and thrash around little Jeremy with passion, each day, every day

Harsh enough for Little Jeremy to develop a trauma, and just enough for it to endured more pain the next day and so on.

And, Let's say, before we are about to beat up Little Jeremy, we shall clap once, everytime, for we will used it as a sign to initiate the beating.

While we would clap twice everytime to halt the thrashing Little Jeremy endured.

And we will also designate a group of people who will help Little Jeremy, everyday to heal and took care of him.

However, we would used an applause thrice to summon those groups of people.

Now, here is an interesting question if you may answer; How long will Little Jeremy take until he understood those simple gestures?

A month? Ten? Or a Year, but eventually Little Jeremy will come to realise what the claps does if successfully implemented, would he not?

That, if you replace Little Jeremy with yourself, is the basic equation of magic and its function basically.

As I would assumed you remember, the book clearly stated that, in the beginning of magic, the chants that was used were incredibly long.

But, the long chants that were used, at a certain point were shortened by a certain mage as the book claimed.

It also states that a veteran mage or grand wizards are often capable of silently casting spells, or at the very least shorten the chants even further.

I have a very elementary question regarding this, being who I am.

The question is, why?

That is a simple question really.

Why?

Why do people with only expertise are said to be capable of executing this seemingly impossible task?

The answer, as it turns out is surprisingly simple, it's because they know their spells well.

That's damn fucking obvious, the book also states that.

I can heard your thought, but it is not as simple as that, and since you are an imbecile, I will let that insult slide just this once.

Let me ask an even more beginner question this time, or for this time let's create another example for the neurotypicals.

The likelihood of a gamer knowing how to type a certain slur words with eyes closed, after doing it for a couple thousands of time is extremely high.

But, let's say, we drop that same gamer outside of his house, similarly blindfolded, and he is ask to type out the same slur words he'd just did moment ago to his keyboard located in the upper floor of his room, just as effortlessly.

As even you can probably intuit, the possibility of him perfectly navigating his front yard, opening his door without fumbling, walking through his house, going upstairs, searching his specific room and executing what he was ask without tapping around, or tumbling or literally falling at least once is close to null.

And because magic has an extremely delicate parts to its process, the said gamer having any sort of error during the entire process of the task, will collapse the magic entirely.

This, in layman's term means it is unlikely for someone to pull out a proper magic without chanting, or using their instinc alone to cast magic, as a little scratch in the magic, as mentioned will make it immature, and as a result ultimately fail.

However, after chanting, the feeling you have while casting the spell shall linger onto your body, and clearer to your sense.

In the case where you wish to re-enact that same magic, the possibility of you achieving it chantlessly this time shall not be entirely zero.

As a neurotypical individual that you are however, you would still ultimately fail I imagine.

So, all in all, the only reason for chanting is to self suggest the feelings, shape, image and overall spell to yourself, materialize it in your head and ultimately in reality.

Then now, let's start chewing that thing about a certain wizard shortening it as we have previously discussed.

In actuality, or well, in my humble theory, the only thing that man achieve was finding the lowest substrata of sentence required for people to self condition themselves for them to cast a spell.

For example, "Remove the words you feel are unnecessary to the sentence." VS "Remove unnecessary words."

While the latter is still able to deliver what is required successfully, I would argue the former is much better for clarity.

In modern times, because so many sentence that are required to make a spell feels more vivid are discarded from the chants, uncountable amount of people fail to grow as a magician.

In my humble opinion, that wizard who shorten the chants was the actual reason why there are so many people who failed to cast even the most basic of spell.

In olden times, I reckon even the stupidest of people could cast a spell even in their first attempt due to the incantation of those times much longer and as a result having better clarity.

This hypothesis is further supported by the simple fact that magic works in all the language that exist in this world... According to Zenith.

To solidify my reasoning, I selected an extremely vague intermediate wind magic incantation without reading what it does, and as expected, it achieve nothing.

But after I return and read what it does, I was immediately able to cast the magic.

We shall keep that as a secret from my parents however, because I still fear them guessing I'm some kind of possession or reincarnation...

Going back to the main topics, if you understand the magic you wish to cast well enough, it is possible to whip them out even with a completely different incantation.

Examples include casting a fire ball with water ball incantation and vice versa

Second, magic doesn't require hand to cast.

In the case I use a hand, it is possible to cast only one spell at a time on each hand, generally that is.

It is possible, however to use 4 or 5 or any amount of your desire from each hand, but this is extremely difficult even for myself.

It's more difficult than if someone were to touch your toes and ask you to move each of the one they touch immediately, with a pace as quick as they possibly can.

If I remember correctly, the term was hand reversal illusion, or toes in this case¿

Anyway, when you wanted to make a fire, water and ice in your right hand alone, there is a very high possibility that the mana you intend for water to transforms into a fire instead, or ice for water or fire for water.

Third, it is possible to feel the mana in my immediate surroundings.

This is due to the fact that all of the things in this world seems to possess a mana of their own

The feeling is not as vivid as seeing it with my eyes of course, and the sensation is actually more akin to feeling something warm, let's say, an old heater inside a large enclosure which has an A.C adjusted just enough to warm the said room.

So, it is very difficult.

On additional note, the mana that humans are capable of using are much denser, but it is close to impossible to feel it when they are inside.

This is probably due to the fact that a mana inside of humans are at stationary.

The only times they are clear is when someone summon mana outside of their body to utilise them for a spell or when they move it in general.

But as mentioned, while they are inside they are as difficult to feel as that of a random brick outside of my house.

I am right now trying to learn precisely and thoroughly how to manipulate the element created from mana after I form them, like that Avatar air bender show.

As of right now I am still incapable of executing complex tast like forming a susano'o created from water, or manipulating a rock to form a golem and etc.

This is probably due to the fact that when a spell or element, after you materialize them are not fed mana manually, within a second or two they will just collapse, falling flat on the floor.

Oh I seem to have forgotten also, in the incantation part on the first section, the chants act as automatic control on how much are needed to feed mana for that particular spell for it not to fail.

Whereas if you do it chantless, you have to manually feed mana to the spell like this, Form → Shape → Speed

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I wonder if you guys have a desire to read Classroom of the Elite Fanfic?

I am willing to write one, and in actuality wished to read something similar, but most of what I found on this apps have an extra who somehow got inside of ANHS instead of the protagonist being Kiyotaka.

I find those setup to be entirely boring and utterly ridiculous.

Hmm... Now that I think, I seems to be drawn more towards people with mental issue, and thus want to write them.

But be aware, because I wished to make this MT novel with more depth, I might not be capable of improving characterization/profiling of that one.

In my mind I wanted to write it like a brainless eroge, but I have ego issue where it will disallow me to write something pathetic, anyway, as mentioned, that one will have smut scenes, many of them in fact.

Oh, I seems to have forgotten, I also had a stockpile of this Fanfic, if I feel like it, there will be a mass release.

The early part of MT is so boring I was almost tempted to just skim through it, but in the end decided not to...

Lastly, I am kind of religious, and so occassionally there will be some views of mine mixed into my novels, and if that must irritate you, I will advice you to drop it... Anyway good day boys.
